Had a wonderful week at Casa Alfarroba!Hosts were a delight to deal with......Booking process so quick & efficient, with any questions dealt with speedily. Also provided with lots of information about surrounding area / restaurants etc. Our request to have an earlier check in was accommodated no problem, as there was no changeover prior to our arrival. This was greatly appreciated, as we arrived early morning. We were greeted by the lovely Marina on our arrival, who showed us around & advised she was available to contact throughout our stay, if needed.The villa itself is gorgeous! Spacious, clean, & the kitchen is fabulous! Everything high spec, & everything you could think of was provided. The pool was amazing, with fabulous views over the countryside.The location is perfect- Only 20 mins drive from airport, & easy to follow instructions were provided of how to find.Supermarkets literally 5 mins drive away. The villa's setting is rural, up on the hill looking down at Faro. We like a quiet relaxing holiday "away from it all" & this is certainly what we got! We found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the villa during the week, but we did on a few occasions to sample a couple of nearby traditional Portuguese restaurants. This is by far the best villa we have stayed in over many years holidaying in Portugal! Thankyou for sharing your beautiful home & we would love to return again!

The stay was a dream! The house was super clean, no wear and tear, etc., and extremely well-maintained. 15 out of 10 points. The communication left nothing to be desired; it was simply perfect. Very modern, the internet was great, and the ambiance was fantastic, too. 5-star accommodation, I'd go back again!

A lovely house, well presented with all amenities you need for a relaxing family holiday. A good location in the hills above Faro and a short drive to several local towns to explore with restaurants and supermarkets. The booking process was very straightforward with hosts Claire & David happy to answers all questions and provided good information about the local area.

Fabulous stay thank you, the villa did not disappoint. Plenty of space inside and out with everything you could ask for. Well equipped kitchen, spacious living areas both downstairs and upstairs, comfortable air conditioned bedrooms. Lovely pool with a number of outside seating areas. You definitely need a car but it’s a great base to explore from. Lidl and Aldi literally 5 minutes away in Sao Brás, Faro is only 20 minutes away. Highly recommend visiting the beaches towards the Spanish border - Manta Rota is one of our favourite, dinner on the rooftop at Rio’s bar is a must after enjoying a day at the beach. Closer to the villa Adega Nunes is also worth visiting for a traditional Portuguese meal, never had a bad meal there. Communication was great with Claire and David during booking and before travelling and Marina was at the villa to meet us even though we arrived quite late. Great to have someone local just incase there are any issues. We’ve had many holidays in the area but it is one of the best villas we’ve stayed in, thanks again!

Everything we wanted in this lovely villa. Fantastic views, spaceous rooms, comfortable beds, nice swimming pool.Cleaning of e.g. corners in bathrooms and dusty headboards could be improved, though. But main areas like toilets and kitchen counter were nice and tidy.

Nous étions 3 couples d'amis et avons séjourné dans cette villa début juin 2025. La villa est spacieuse et très bien équipée (l'espace cuisine a été refait et est au top), même si nous étions début juin nous avons apprécié la climatisation (les températures ont déjà bien montées, rien ne manque. Sa situation permet de sillonner facilement l'Algarve.Les extérieurs, la vue magnifique, le calme et surtout la belle piscine sont remarquables. Bref, nous avons passé de belles vacances et recommandons vivement cette location.

Une parenthèse enchantée

Nous avons séjourné dans la villa de David et Claire du 5 au 19 août 2024. Nous étions 7 personnes dont 3 enfants. Toutes les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. La piscine et les espaces extérieurs permettent de profiter de la vue imprenable sur Faro et la mer. La villa est superbe. Elle est idéalement située à proximité des plages et des commerces. Les propriétaires ont été au petit soin avec nous durant tout notre séjour. Nous n’avons manqué de rien et tout ce dont nous avions besoin nous a été fourni. Merci à Claire David et Marina pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité. Je vous recommande cette location à 200% !

Amazing beautiful place to stay

What an amazing, beautiful place to stay. This is our second time at the villa and it never disappoints. The villa itself is heaven, the bedrooms are air-conditioned and bathrooms are very spacious, and the decor is beautiful. The location is perfect - quiet for a lovely relaxing holiday and a short drive away to all amenities, beaches, day trips and shopping centres. The beauty of this villa is that it has everything inside that you need. The kitchen is fully equipped, the pool table is an amazing extra, they have games to play and inflatables for the pool, books to read and toys for the children. If there is a problem with anything it was attended to immediately. I would highly recommend. We will be back for certain.

Fantastische villa in prachtige omgeving

Dit is het allermooiste vakantiehuis waar we ooit hebben gelogeerd. Het is mooi, groot, luxe en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het zwembad is groot en schoon. Het uitzicht is geweldig. Het contact met David en Claire was heel goed. Wij zouden deze villa aan iedereen aanbevelen.

Amazing view and a relaxing stay

The villa was amazingly beautiful and the perfect place for our family to relax. We received a friendly greeting and they even showed where a great restraunt was for lunch! We will definitely choose to stay here again!

Wonderful villa, great location

The villa was fantastic, especially the pool and the view. The whole place was clean and tidy with everything you might need. Restaurants/supermarkets are a very short drive away, beach an easy drive too. David (property manager) was super friendly and helpful, plus had great tips on where to go for food/shops. We had a wonderful holiday here with our friends and children and would highly recommend, apologies have only just remembered to leave a review!

Parfait

Maison bien située en haut d'une colline, au calme, ce que nous cherchions. Manque peut être les chaines françaises ou internationales pour suivre les infos, mais pas insurmontable non plus avec les chaines par internet. Piscine super agréable et chauffée (je suis frileux :-)). La cuisine est bien équipée même si nous n'avons pas cuisiné, ce sont des vacances et les restos alentours sont très biens. Accueil et discrétion des personnes sur place. Bref, vacances reposantes dans un cadre superbe. Merci

Secluded privacy in the sun.

Beautiful Villa as described, check in was simple and straight forward with lots of local information. Pool was great , very clean well maintained Great bbq with all facilities that were needed Location was super private and none of the Villa is overlooked by neighbours. Another plus even though Villa is in the mountains surrounded by forest there were absolutely no mosquitoes at all not one , no problem with insects a plus if you have allergies or children a real plus. For families, groups we would highly recommend this Villa.

Beautiful villa and location. Great communication with owners and easy check in process.

The property is amazing. Very clean and has everything that you need for your stay plus more. The check in process is excellent as someone meets you at the villa. The outdoor space is beautiful and way better than the photos shown on the website. The pool is great but recommend pool heating. There are extra little things that make your holiday especially if you have children such as games, pool table, play things for the pool like noodles, balls snd inflatable ring cd’s, DVDs etc. All round it was a great place to stay.

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances dans cette superbe villa! L’accueil de Susan et David était top, ils sont adorables et il ne faut pas hésiter à les joindre si vous vous avez la moindre question/problème! La vue est incroyable, la maison et son emplacement le sont tout autant!

Superbe villa dans un environnement de rêve et de calme ! une vue à couper le souffle Le plus indéniable : la piscine chauffée =un must Très bonne distribution des pièces et les différentes terrasses qui rendent le séjour agréable ... La situation a 20 min de l aéroport sans les contraintes et près de la très belle ville de Loulè Une mention spéciale pour Susan et David qui reçoivent et conseillent les hôtes de façon pertinente et avec gentillesse et professionnalisme A refaire...sans modération

What a view..

Had a great week in this fantastic villa, everything as detailed, plus more. Perfect for a private relaxing holiday with views, both day and night that must be seen. David and Sue were excellent,so friendly and welcoming with their meet and greet service and through holiday care, providing useful local knowledge. The steep hill to the villa was a concern beforehand, but proved to be nothing to worry about. Up there with best villas we have rented over the past twenty years. Thank you.

Great family holiday

Our group of 6 (3 adults, 3 children), stayed here for 10 days. The villa was exactly as described, and really felt like a home rather than just a holiday villa. The outside spaces were really good. I loved the different seating areas and the views were amazing. Despite having neighbours relatively close by, the villa felt totally private and rural, with little noise which was great. There were lots of books, games, dvd's, inflatables etc to keep both adults and children entertained! Overall a great villa and somewhere I would recommend.
