Cozy Getaway

We have been coming to the Grayton/Seagrove Beach area for over 35 years and Papa’s Hideaway is at the top of our list of beach cottages. If you love the old time nostalgia of a true beach cottage, this little gem is for you!Tastefully decorated and so cozy and comfortable. Close to restaurants, hiking, biking and the gorgeous Emerald Coast beaches. The view of Western lake every morning was breathtaking.

Perfect Place for Our Wedding Weekend

This was a great spot for my husband and his two groomsmen to stay for our wedding weekend. It's not big inside, but theres plenty of space outside and you're within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Very peaceful on the property too. The host was fantastic and very accommodating. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this spot!

Wonderful cozy cabin on inlet

This property is a delightful cozy cabin on a beautiful piece of land located along an inlet in Grayton Beach, Florida. While it cannot appeal to everyone due to its size (2 BR, 1 bath), it is perfect for a couple or up to four people who do not mind sharing a bathroom.The cabin itself is older but has been well-maintained, and the interior has been upgraded with lots of thoughtful touches (hooks for clothes, good lighting, artful decor, good beds and bedding, etc.) that make it very comfortable. The AC works well - it was cold during our stay but the heat worked quickly. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms to help.The bathroom has access from the master bedroom and also from the kitchen area. It is quite large, with storage space for multiple persons. The washer and dryer are located in a closet inside the bathroom.The property itself is beautiful, with lots of land and various spots with adirondack chairs for relaxing or watching the fish jump in the inlet. The dock would be another great spot for chilling. There is a fire pit also, along with an outdoor shower.The location is convenient to the entire 30A area - that stretch of charming small towns along the Florida panhandle coast. There are a couple bars within walking distance, as well as town's gulf coast beach. Close to state parks also.The host's communication was excellent.We loved the cabin and used it as a base for our explorations. It would also be great for a nice relaxing stay in a beautiful area.

Wonderful Time for My 15 year old son and his momma

This place can't be beat. The area is changing, but I like that Papa's Hideaway retains the vintage cool thing about Flordia's Fishcamp/Bungalows. Vintage, yet all the modern comforts. Amazing Bed, shower, outdoor areas, and views. Love the proximity to the beach and the ability to paddle board to the beach. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Precious Spot

We loved our stay at this little cottage. The view and coziness were spectacular. The property manager was extremely communicative and made our stay seamless. Note: there is no dishwasher- so plan ahead!

Great Vrbo!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and had the best time! Highly recommend. Very clean and comfortable. Easy to access the beach and a wonderful dock to hang out on. Definitely recommend this if your looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay away from the hustle bustle

A perfect Grayton house

This house was beyond perfect for my family of four and the lake access and short walk to the beach and great restaurants made it in my opinion the best house for us in Grayton. We rented an inflatable paddle board and 2 seat kayak and easily launched them from the dock. The two chairs on the dock also made it the perfect location for fishing and watching the sunrise. The house was beautifully decorated and so very cozy. We were also thankful for the fire pit, beach chairs, and cornhole game. I can’t say enough good things about this house. It was perfect!

Anniversary get away

Wonderful location. Great fireplace and short walk to Red Bar and all of Grayton Beach! Loved having coffee on the porch and dropping a line in the lake! Great biking! Would definitely recommend

Amazing little place!

The property is amazing! As advertised. Comfy beds, great view of the lake and 3-5 min walk to the beach! Quite house, great AC and we took advantage of the kayak on site. You can also paddle board from the dock all the way to the beach. (You have to rent or bring the paddle boards yourself) We will definitely be back!!

Heaven on Earth

The location is awesome….so very private…away from the hustle and bustle….wonderful deck on the lake with perfect sunrises and sunsets…a wood burning fireplace for rainy cool days, a kayak to explore the lake… I could go on and on🌺

Quiet & Relaxing

Loved the location on the lake and the screened porch. Easy walk to the beach. No easy way to launch the kayak so we rented one. Detergent smell in the sheets was super strong but was remedied after rinsing them. Great management staff - responsive, helpful and friendly! Would definitely rent Papa’s Hideaway again.

Perfect Grayton Location

We very much enjoyed our stay at Papa’s Hideaway. The private dock kept our daughter busy all morning looking for crabs and fish. The short walk to the beach is ideal. We can’t wait to visit again.
