We had a great time. It had everything we needed and then some. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were wonderful. Close to dining places and some great coffee/bakeries.

Friends Trip

Had a great time with our friends and the house was great. The owners were easy to work with. Renting a golf cart was very helpful to get to the beach and back and also to explore the area.

Great Stay

We took our multi family trip to the beach and this was perfect! There was plenty of space, lots of things already at the house so no need to bring a lot with you. Host was great to help with any suggestions we asked!

Love this beach house!

Our family of 12 loved our stay at this spacious beach house. We had plenty of room for everyone and loved having 5 bathrooms when returning from the beach. Fully equipped kitchen was greatly appreciated. Our adult children especially liked the third floor porch. The beds are quality and comfortable. Beautifully decorated.

White Sand Getaway

We really enjoyed Micheal sharing his home with us. The beach was perfect for the whole family (we really enjoyed the white beach and the ocean water. The swimming pool was great for relaxing and tanning. The house was spacious and the layout was perfect and the village location was perfect and we felt safe. There was so much to do besides swimming, great food and shopping, and biking. Thanks again!

I can’t say enough about our stay at this charming little cottage! The place was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need—except the food, of course—which made settling in so easy and comfortable.My husband and I are both avid anglers, so having access to a private fishing dock was a huge bonus. We caught plenty of crappie—enough to enjoy a fresh fish dinner during our stay and still take home enough for a couple more meals!The host was incredibly kind and went out of their way to accommodate a special request from my husband, which we truly appreciated. They also checked in periodically just to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay.One unexpected highlight was the arcade system—playing those classic games brought back so many great memories from my teenage years!I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.— Regina F.

Nice beach vacation

The house was as advertised, a great spot for our big three generation group. Renting a golf cart helped make the beach easily accessible. We had plenty of space and the kitchen was well appointed. The Wi-Fi got progressively more unreliable as the week went on, which was difficult for post-beach kid entertainment since streaming is the only way to access TV in the house. The check in/out process involves multiple texts to multiple numbers, which quite frankly, was a little over the top compared to any other rental I’ve stayed in. Great house, but a simpler process would make it perfect.

Overall experience: GREATGreat location and beautiful community! Great house for a big group with ample room. Good attention to detail and owner very helpful in suggesting golf cart rentals and things to do in area. Amenities were a plus. There were some ants in kitchen area, not being from this area we weren’t sure if that’s normal, but besides the ants the cleanliness was great. The outside plugs that we were trying to charge the cart rental kept tripping breaker, contacted owner and he said he’d had electrician out previously to fix but would get them out again. The grill needed some attention as it had a bunch of rust on cooktop that we had to spend a significant time to get back usable condition.

Perfect vacation home for our family

Our group was three couples, two single adults, and two children (9 years old and six months old) and the home fit us wonderfully. There is plenty of room in the public spaces, and the bedrooms fit each group very well. The location of the stairs is a nice touch ... they are situated so you really don't hear people walking up and down when you are in the bedrooms. The kitchen is well-furnished, and the owner was helpful and responded quickly when we had questions. The neighborhood amenities are right by the house, too, and we took advantage of them all: pool, shuffleboard, putting green, bocce ball. And having ice cream and coffee shops in walking distance was a real treat!

Okay but would look elsewhere next time

We recently stayed at this home for a family vacation with a group of 12. While there were some positives, our overall experience was mixed and I wouldn’t choose this rental again.Pros:- The home is located in a quiet, gated community with very little traffic.- It’s far enough from the Destin congestion to feel peaceful but still close enough to reach attractions with a short drive.- The beach is about a 10-minute walk, though it’s not an easy stroll in the heat. Limited parking near the beach made having a designated driver a necessity.- The house itself is spacious and was clean. The beds were very comfortable.Cons:- The community pool, which was one of the big selling points for us, was closed for two of our days due to repairs. This was a huge letdown for our group, especially the kids.- We saw two cockroaches in the house—something you never want to see on vacation.- The internet went out multiple times. When I contacted the host, they confirmed an outage in the area but then suggested I call their internet provider–this doesn’t seem like something the guest should have to deal with.- Cell service inside the house was practically nonexistent, possibly due to the metal roof. It was great outside though.- There were so many rules and warnings about fines and extra charges that it made the stay more stressful than it should have been. It felt like we were walking on eggshells trying not to accidentally violate something.

50th Anniversary Trip

This property was everything they said it was. Clean, charming, comfortable for a family of nine it had plenty of space for all of us. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and this was a special time for all of us to be together. Short trip to the beach by golf cart which I recommend you rent for your time here. Easy walk to the pool. We would come back here!

Family and Friends vacation

We enjoyed this property very much, lots of room for everyone to enjoy there own private space. Equipped with everything that a large group would need. Wonderful community, host was always available and checking to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

Fantastic Place

House perfect for families. Great location. House is very well equipped for cooking or just relaxing on the decks. The location to the beach is perfect… we rented a golf cart to take to the beach.

Excellent home for a large family

This Home had everything you could ask for. The owners were always available via text or email, and they provided a fully stocked home away from home! I will definitely stay here again! The neighborhood is nice and quiet and pool and games are right beside the house. The beds were all comfortable and bathrooms were upgraded nicely. It is a little farther from the beach than we would have liked but you can easily drive and drop of items and park. The living area and kitchen/dining were all open and very spacious! All my friends commented on how clean and well stocked this home was.

Great family home close to beach

This home fit all of our family for our annual trip to 30A. We rented a golf cart which made it easy to get to the beach and back with all the kiddos and their stuff. Plenty of room inside the house and it was clean and organized. Michael was always available via text with info and answers to our questions.

30a Family fun week.

My family absolutely loved this house, they loved all the decks, the swimming pool, all the amenities, the kitchen area was great for our family meals. Lots of cooking!! The beach could have been a little closer. However we would definitely stay again.

Dirty Home - Misled, Overcharged, and Disappointed

We booked a five-bedroom home in Blue Mountain Beach advertised as "luxury" accommodations. Check-in was supposed to be 5 pm. We arrived at 5:15 pm on July 4, 2020. Despite the late check-in, housekeeping was still cleaning the home. We were told they were just finishing up and to come inside and wait. It was obvious that the first floor of the home had not been cleaned. There were dirt, trash, and dust bunnies on the floor, sand on the tables and staircase, a used, wet towel in a dining room chair, hair and trash on the living room rug, spills on the appliances, a stained table cloth on the dining table, etc. There were only two women cleaning the home which was too big a job for them. They told us the reason for the delay was that the previous guests left an unusually big mess behind. They also said the first floor had already been cleaned. We called the owner and he had the housekeeping manager contact us. We agreed to leave the house while the first floor was cleaned. The same two women returned (along with their manager) to clean the bottom floor. This was uncomfortable for us, to say the least. These poor women were exhausted already. We drove around for an hour waiting for them to finish. When we returned, the downstairs floor had been mopped and the appliances had been wiped done, but the home was still dirty. By this time, it was 9:30 PM on our first night. Once we were able to inspect the upstairs we saw that it was also dirty: mildew in the shower, and on bathroom walls, hair on the sinks, stains on bed linens, rugs, and carpet. We swept the sand from the staircases, removed the stained table cloth, wiped down the glass top tables, and sprayed the bathrooms with Clorox cleaner ourselves. The next day, we had to purchase towels and washcloths b/c there weren't enough for our party of nine people. In addition, the furniture was oily and dirty. Water stains on the ceiling. The outside grill was dirty and the tank was empty. The wifi did not work - the message said the data limit had been reached. When I spoke to the owner the next day - after several texts - he told me we were welcome to check out and find another home. My response was that we couldn't find a home the week of July 4 and that we believed a refund for the cleaning fee and the first night was fair. He said he would be in touch and we never heard back from him. We have always trusted VRBO before.
