Think long walks on less-crowded beaches, short wait times at any of the area's delicious restaurants, and peace and quiet at your home-away-from-home.

Special shoutout to the abundance of outdoor seating options (4 porches!), nice big primary suite (feels like you're sleeping in the trees!), and the proximity to the beach and Goatfeathers. Would 100% recommend to any traveler!

Worn out couch and chairs I was bitten by sand flea in the home probably from previous guests animals. That was miserable. Outside swarming with carpenter bees diving under porches. Very annoying. Out side wood maintenance very neglected 🤣🤣🤣

Great property!

We absolutely loved Even Keel! Close to great restaurants and the beach! The gated community provided us opportunities to walk the dogs and enjoy neighbors!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The area and surroundings were fine. The house was underwhelming. The couch was lumpy and uncomfortable. The bedroom linens had tears in them. The master shower was tiny. The kitchen was stocked at a minimum. The AC was broken upon arrival but quickly fixed. We could never reach a live person at Benchmark. Previous experience with Benchmark was favorable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We called Even Keel home for 2 weeks over the holidays. The location is great; very spacious and clean. Well stocked; enough kitchenware to cook Christmas dinner. The neighborhood was quiet and cozy. We could hear the Gulf waves from the front porches. It was too cool to use the pools but they looked lovely. Wi Fi worked great. Management company was easy to work with, responsive, codes for check in were provided timely and check in was easy. Really liked the area -- not as touristy as Destin, but still close enough to Destin for dining and shopping.

Even Keel worked out great for us!

Everything was as advertised and the place was clean and well laid out! Had everything we needed! Rental credit for umbrellas and beach chairs was a nice bonus! Only 2 small nit picky things! Photos on the rental ad showed a Keurig coffee maker on the counter and I brought my pods but when we got there the coffee maker was a brew type with filters. We made it work and I may have missed it but I never saw a code to get in the access gate to get in the complex and had to call to get in on check in day! Property manager was great and got me the code quickly

The house itself is beautiful and spacious - our family of five had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The house is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and most importantly, ice cream! My kids especially enjoyed the neighborhood pool. We'll be back!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was nice but Benchmark Mgt was not very accommodating with two conflicts we had. The reps were very nice but management was not helpful. There was no mention of $250 pet fee at the time of booking - however it was in the Benchmark 8-page contract. Never had this issue before with pet-friendly rentals so I will not book through Benchmark in the future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Even Keel was the perfect location for our beach vacation with family and friends. With several young children in our party, we really enjoyed the spaciousness of the rental as well as the two pools within walking distance of the property. We didn't mind being minutes away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the country either. Checking in and out of the rental was seamless with the key code entry system, and the house was very clean. We definitely plan to return!
