Great rental!

We had a great stay! It was our first time staying on the ocean side and we loved sitting on the porch and being able to hear and see the ocean. Great walking distance to everything in seaside. Right next to the beach access. Easy parking. Property management was great and responded quickly to texting and sent reminders for check out. My husband and I were with our parents and we loved having 2 king rooms. We were worried it wasn’t a full fridge, but it’s actually pretty large and was plenty for the 4 of us and there is a separate freezer as well. Would definitely recommend.

Great location to beach, shops, and restaurants

Perfect location to walk out the door to go to the beach, grab a bite to eat, or gather items to bring home. It is on the Main Street/30A, so be prepared for street noise until about 11pm during a busy holiday week. Views of beach are as pictured or better, and property looks exactly as website depicts. Getting detailed information I needed in order to reserve beach chairs, etc., was tedious, so I recommend having a list of questions handy and getting a live person to comb through options, as opposed to writing back and forth, if this is your first time to seaside. You’ll need specifics in order to rent beach chairs well before they send a welcome email. The property itself is cute, had everything we needed, and was in perfect location for two adults and four tween/teens.

Beautiful visit

Enjoyed the house immensely. Being just steps from the beach is the greatest advantage. House is just as advertised and was perfect size for our group of 6. Will definitely book again.

Amazing

This property was beyond our expectations! My daughter and I came for a girl’s trip and our rental did not disappoint! It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The location is perfect. So thankful we found this gem!

Merilee By-The-Sea is a wonderful and with easy steps to the wonderful Seaside Florida beach! Merilee By-The-Sea is a clean and comfortable place for you and your family to spend a relaxing vacation watching the ocean go by! With two king size master bedrooms and a bunk room for the kiddies. A full size washer and dryer for those mid week cleanups. The kitchen and upstairs great room and outside patio has great views of the ocean. Even with two days of hard rain, the Merilee By-The-Sea was a comfortable place to spend time watching movies. It is an easy walk or bike ride to the Seaside downtown restaurants like Great Southern, Bud and Alleys, The Taco bar and Modica's. For a great Breakfast, a short bike ride to Grayton Beach Black Bear Coffee house! We love the sugar white sandy beaches of Seaside and the Emerald coast. The East Ruskin Beach Pavilion is right outside the Merilee By-The-Sea, a great place for pizza and watching the sun go down. Merilee By-The-Sea is a great place for you and your family, we have stayed there several time, and we will be back. Cheers the Wood family of Arizona and the Mahoney family of Texas.

As advertised

Great place with a one minute walk to a private beach, no flip flops required for the walk. The heart of seaside another one minute walk. Beds are comfortable, with plenty of room in the bunk room for 4-6 kids. Would definitely rent again.

Fabulous family vacation

We could not have been happier with the house. With two master suites and a bunk room big enough for four kids everyone was comfortable. Being on the beach side of 30A was priceless. Thank you!

2019 Marilee Memories

Our 2019 summer Seaside vacation was one for the books! Marilee was right on top of the beautiful clear gulf for our 4th of July week. Can you say front row seats to the fireworks?!! The home was just divine and right on top of our favorite East Ruskin Pavilion . It’s so close to the beach I never had to wear flip flops! The home is decorated beautifully and created such happy feelings. The beds are super comfy, the newly remodeled bathrooms are fabulous, and the views from the upstairs porch and windows is to die for. The kitchen is stocked with all we needed to make meals when we weren’t taking advantage of being two steps away from all the food trucks! I thought not having a full sized refrigerator would be a challenge but it was no big deal. We had fun walking to Modica Market if we needed anything. I have to say after coming to Seaside since 1995 Marilee is our favorite house by far.

Amazing beach cottage!

Merilee by the Sea is an amazing retreat in Seaside. It is decorated in such a comfortable beachy style. It is the perfect place to stay; close to the beach (you can see and hear the waves from every room), close to the town (to go get a bite to eat or a drink), but cozy enough to stay in , fix dinner and relax on the porch with a glass of wine. Merilee by the Sea has become our favorite place to stay on 30A.

Great location

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is comfortable, well appointed, and spacious....good layout. We liked being in Seaside and right beside the beach walkover....actually did not use the pool passes. We would definitely book Meri Lee by the Sea again!

Perfect Stay!

Loved everything about this property, starting with the lovely owner Merilee! Perfect spot right near town (but not so close that it's too loud). The home is not large, but had everything we needed for our four girls. Great ocean views and the interior of the home is decorated and maintained beautifully. I did have some concerns that our teenagers would have too much access in and out during the night since they were on the lower level and we slept upstairs...but honestly I think they were too tired to do anything past 10pm! I'd rent here again in a heartbeat - thank you Merilee!!

This beach cottage was the perfect space for our family!

The home was comfortable and inviting. The furnishings were exceptional, just perfect for a beach cottage. It was more than enough space for our family of four-with 3 bedrooms and baths everyone had their own space to relax. While the inside of the home was amazing, I cannot say enough about the location of the home. We have visited the Seaside area numerous times and Merilee by the Sea has been our favorite location! We were just steps from the beach and the heart of Seaside. We hardly moved our vehicle the whole week! Our family is looking forward to our next vacation at Merilee by the Sea!

Great Cottage. Perfect location!

What you see, is what you get. Pictures on the site are exactly how the cottage looks. It was clean, loved the decor and had everything we needed and more. Beautiful views of sunrise and sunset. Just steps away from being on the beach. A very short walk to restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. Owners were very responsive. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Steps from the Beach...Thank You Merilee!

First of all, our family would like to send our thoughts and prayers to all the families that were effected by Hurricane Michael! Seaside was sparred any of the wrath of Michael, beautiful as always! Thank you Meri Lee and Carl for working with our family after Hurricane Michael to spend my 60th birthday in your lovely home by the beach! The Merilee is steps away from wonderful sunrises, sunsets and the wonderful wonder of the ocean.... The home was clean and easy access off of 30A and Bud & Alley's, our favorite place for lunch. The rooms were comfy, spacious and very accommodating for both me and my wife, my daughter and son-in-law. The back patio was a daily morning relaxing area to drink coffee and hear and watch the ocean! We have been coming to Watercolor and Seaside for many years, the Merilee is a great beach experience! Beautiful home with excellent location

Absolutely loved staying in Merrilee-by-the-Sea! Home is comfortable and beautifully decorated. Beds are very comfy too! The location is excellent to the beach, restaurants and shops! We walked everywhere and never needed bikes. Others have commented about the fridge situation, it worked fine for our family of 5 because we ate breakfast and lunch at the house but usually went out for dinner. We did very light cooking and for once did not over buy on groceries! The owners are extremely nice to work with and are quick to respond to any questions. This was the first time we have stayed in Seaside and we feel like we found the perfect place! So appreciate the owners for sharing their gorgeous home! Hope to come back and stay here again!
