Montecito

Cottage was very charming. Although a close walk to beach, not a walkable section. Proximity to 101 made walking in the neighborhood less appealing. We did find Butterfly beach which was beautiful. The Montecito area has a lot to offer.

Visiting college student for parent weekend

Great location with everything one needs- my college student family member visited and loved it too. We both wished we could stay longer! I would recommend to all . Simple Suggestion: visible direct contact info for owner on Vrbo site or contact oinfo for a live person/ location on Vrbo site so one can contact directly prior to booking - thankful I found you on Vrbo . Can’t wait to return - super close quick walk to the beach!

Perfect get away in Montecito

Wir hatten eine traumhafte Zeit im SeaSide Cottage. Das Inserat beschriebt das Objekt perfekt, wir waren darüber hinaus von dem tollen privaten Garten und der Terrasse hinter dem Haus überrascht. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist super - gerade die Küche lädt dazu ein benutzt zu werden. Es ist ein sehr romantisches Häuschen - perfekt für zwei. Macht euch wegen des Zugs der so oft angesprochen wurde keine Gedanken, er ist keines Wegs störend und fährt Nachts nicht mehr.

quiet, private little beach cottage

It was a bit hard to find but that was part of the charm and quiet privacy of the cottage. Beautiful furnishings, appointed with everything you could want (fully stocked kitchen, viking stove, filtered water, etc) and a private patio. Quiet and peaceful. Short walk to the beach, easy walk to Montecito downtown. I loved this place.

Piece of paradise

I stayed on both properties (houses) and both were amazing! I like how easy it was to access both places on the same property. Everything was well explained in their binder and really cutely decorated! Easy access to the beach and surrounding Santa Barbara! It was also super quiet which we appreciated! Will definitely stay here again!

Charming, but some issues

This is your quintessential wooden beach cottage with lots of charm within a 5 minute walk to the beach (Miramar). If you are concerned about noise, just be aware that the floors are very creaky, the iron bed is also loud, the Ocean Liner train is at the end of the block so you hear the train horn occasionally, and there are frogs in the creek behind the house that are loud in the evening. None of that kept me from sleeping however and if you are fine with those things, this small place could be for you. The furniture and kitchen decor was quaint, but the kitchen had some stains on the floor and rugs. The patio furniture was just updated (while I was there) and the front door lock was hard to get open. The only other thing I wished it had was screens on the windows. When you open the windows to cool off the house and get a breeze, the bugs fly in. Overall, very cute but with some inconveniences. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

You get a lot of freeway noise and the windows are old so all the noise comes through. The property is less than 50 yards from the railroad track. Neither the freeway noise nor the train noise are disclosed.

Cottage is quite cute and nicely decorated Having stayed in many vacation rentals we were surprised at the lack of attention paid to details: No coffee furnished No oil for cooking Inadequate spice selection and general condiments Lack of quality toiletries for this type of rental Fountain in backyard full of leaves and stagnant water The additional fees make this property quite overpriced

Fabulous beach cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Shabby Chic beach decor and all the amenities of home! Loved the location and enjoyed the peacefulness of the cottage. Check in was easy. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing escape! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Tiny cottage 4 blocks to beach

Space is very small The “ bed” in the living room is an ancient pullout sofa very hard and had no linens for us to use. Property mangers were nice people but told us since it was after hours they couldn’t come over unless it was emergency. I had to insist they bring linens which finally got there a 9:30 pm. With rentals there is no “ after hours” in my book. This mgmt group services 140 properties so imagine you need something you could have to take a number. The fellows were very nice but had no key to the storage for bedding had to call and ask then went to buy sheets etc. to get things right for us. Don’t try to go with 4 big people as the sleeping spaces are very tight and the rooms are quaint cute but very cramped. It’s a quiet cute little doll house and would work best for two. Or three small ppl. Floor is wavy and you sort if feel like you’re o a boat. Toaster and oven did not work. Neighborhood is quiet Patio has nice fireplace but stones on floor are a trip hazard. Nice washer and dryer outside. Tv remotes are all confusing. Communication was good with property management. They just didn’t have much on hand to help us out. Might go back but not positive

Charming retreat cottage

Perfect cottage near the sea. Serene and charming in every way. A couple minutes walk to the ocean and a perfect spot to explore Montecito Village and Santa Barbara. Butterfly beach is within walking distance and a 2 minute drive. Gorgeous, refined part of CA. Hope to be back again!

Very impressed by this property. Was walking distance to beaches, kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook, beautiful decor, flowers/garden are amazing, for bath tub/shower may need a step stool.

Perfect Getaway

We checked in to this wonderfully charming cottage over the holidays to get away and just relax in lovely Montecito. It was the perfect property. The skylights flooded the house with light and the back garden was so relaxing with the fireplace and water feature. On the nights that we did not want to go into town, the kitchen was perfect for preparing a meal. The location is wonderful, just being blocks from the Ocean and a short drive downtown. I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful and homey cottage close to beach

Seaside Cottage was an amazing place to stay! Our favorite home away from home to date. We wanted to stay within walking distance to the beach, which is how we found this cottage. The quiet, almost private beach is just a very short walk away. The cottage itself is beautiful and homey, with almost nothing left unthought of. We loved having the backyard to relax in while the front yard provided a place for our daughter to play. The only downside was that we had to drive approximately 30 minutes out of the way to check in with the property management company.

Lovely cottage, well appointed, nice details, skylights, pretty back yard overlooking creek area.

Love the location! Sweet neighborhood three min walk to beach. You can hear the train go by, which we actually liked! The house is a duplex, which would be perfect for a larger group; we were alone mostly and it was very quiet, though when the other side was occupied, we could hear the occupants. Property managers were helpful and responsive; communication regarding entry and exit well organized.
