Idyllic retreat with stunning views

The house is set in a beautiful and private location with gorgeous views of the surrounding area. Kris was very welcoming and the property was full of light, well appointed and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the vineyards and visiting the local towns.

What a lovely space!

Beautiful house, very clean, beds comfy, well appointed kitchen. Perfect for 4-6 people. Great amenities like patio, washer/dryer, BBQ and fireplace. Relaxing country setting, super quiet, yet close to towns and wineries. We’re already planning when to come back.

Great Location

This property has beautiful views and is a great location to use as a base for wine tasting and dining. While we did not end up doing any cooking it would be great for preparing and cooking or bbqing your own meals. The owner just lives across the street and is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend a stay here.

California Dreaming is a dream come true

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Santa Ynez, Ballard and Solvang area, no need to look any further than California Dreaming. This spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home has a beautiful open floor plan, a beautiful kitchen area and beautiful views in every room. The backyard has nice furniture and a gas grill. Washer/dryer also available. The hosts, Kris and Hilda, are always available to answer your questions and give helpful hints.

Lovely location in the heart of wine country!

We have stayed here before as you can't beat the combination of a great house and an excellent location! All three bedrooms feature cozy memory foam mattresses. The great room and kitchen are just the place for a friends and family gathering (it was too nippy to be outside this visit). WiFi is solid and the house super clean - no complaints!

Wonderful weekend!

We were a group of 3 couples and we had a fantastic stay here, I would 100% stay there again. We had one minor issue and Kris responded immediately to take care of it, which we really appreciated. I spend a lot of time in the area and this location is perfect for anything you might want to do while you're there. Would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to the SY Valley!

A Little Slice of Paradise!

California Dreaming was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the Santa Ynez Valley. The home was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed.The location was ideal for traveling to the beautiful little towns of Solvang, Buellton, Ballard and Los Olivos and sampling lovely wines from the wineries we visited.California Dreaming is truly "a little slice of paradise" if you are heading to the Santa Ynez Valley.Enjoy!

Amazing!!!

We loved everything about our stay here - the house and area are truly perfection! Really smart layout and beautiful view. This home was the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in and had everything you could possibly need. The only thing we didn’t like was having to leave. Can’t wait to get back here!

Great home in a perfect location

Very comfortable home for our family of six. We spent the holidays here and had everything we needed to cook big meals at the house. The location is great! We enjoyed exploring Solvang during the Christmas week. It’s also an easy drive to Santa Barbara for day trips.The owner is super accommodating and even brought over kitchen tools for specialty baking.

Clean, well equipped, gorgeous scenery

My family had an amazing stay at Kris's property. We were so impressed by how clean and well-stocked Kris's place was - especially the kitchen. It was a peaceful, quiet location and the views were gorgeous overlooking the vineyards and hills. The grill was a great bonus and the spacious kitchen was perfect to cook in after a long, wonderful day of wine tasting. Our only wish is that we booked a longer stay!
