Great little cottage close to just about everything, 20-30 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to downtown Solvang, the host are up front about everything. It fit my family plus mother in law comfortably.

We were so lucky to find this gem of a place! It is very quiet and beautifully appointed. One of the most important things to me when I stay somewhere is the comfort of the beds and the pillows, these were outstanding! Then there are the lovely touches…. Fresh flowers so pretty! The thoughtful breakfast items, everything so clean. The grounds are just beautiful! You can’t ask for a better place to stay! Our hosts thought of everything!. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely and charming Christmas holiday

A lovely cottage that was very clean and offered plenty of space for me, my husband and daughter. We loved the hospitality of the hosts and the extras such as: coffee, tea, milk, bottles of water, fresh eggs, fresh fruit from their garden.The hosts greeted us with a nice massage posted on the fridge when we arrived. We enjoyed being away from the city. Very quiet, stunning views throughout the property. We honestly want to come back again.

Nice lovely weekend getaway

Lovely cottage home that was very clean and provided 4 adults plenty of space. We loved the hosts hospitality and extras such as: coffee, milk, fresh eggs, fresh fruit. Great home base for exploring the area. Many nice touches, especially the stocked refrigerator with everything you need for a nice breakfast (small kitchen but plenty of space for dining). Everything spotlessly clean, very comfy bedding, helpful hosts.

An oasis

Visiting the Santa Ynez Valley for the first time, our family couldn’t have asked for a lovelier place to stay. Bev and Peter were the most welcoming and generous hosts. The accommodations were very comfortable with nice touches, like toys and games for kids, salon quality bath items and a stocked kitchen, including fresh eggs from their hens. Our daughter loved hanging out with the chickens, who know their names. And their garden is truly an oasis, filled with succulents, fruit trees and tranquil seating areas. They even shared some cuttings for us to plant in our own garden. In all ways, it was a great experience and we hope to be back soon!

Wonderful cottage on a beautiful property!

The cottage is perfect for a small group -- comfortable beds, plenty of space to spread out, a big enough kitchen to cook and all the kitchen equipment you could need. Nice touch of tea, coffee, fresh eggs, milk and even fresh fruit from the property. The location can't be beat for access to everything in the Santa Ynez valley. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood very close to Solvang. Hosts were great and we got to meet the household chickens that provided us breakfast! I would absolutely stay here again the next time we visit friends in the area.

Great Stay for Birthday Weekend Getaway!

All of the 5/5 reviews I saw prior to booking were completely accurate! Peter and Bev were excellent hosts - very kind and accommodating. I had mentioned it was for a birthday and they had a bday sign, balloon and fresh roses waiting for us when we checked in. The cottage was cute and nicely appointed (the furnishings and bathroom even looked more updated than in the pics online). They had stocked the fridge with juice, milk, cream, oat milk, jam, honey, english muffins, fresh fruit from their trees and a dozen fresh eggs from their chickens. Enough for 3 adults for 2 full breakfasts and some to spare! Bev greeted us and handed off fresh figs she had just picked from her tree. The day we arrived the temp had just cooled down 30 degrees from the prior day so Peter came in and made sure the heaters were working as the early morning forecast was a chilly 35 degrees. The garden was lovely and the chicken were fun to feed and interact with. All in all it was a great stay - we couldn't have asked for a better weekend. I would highly recommend this cute spot (very convenient to Solvang, Los Olivos and wine tasting areas too!). I would stay here again!

Wonderful stay

My older son and i stayed foe the weekend while visiting family and friends. We would highly recommend Peter and Bev. There hospitality and cottage was just as described. Family friendly, kid friendly with lots of amenities. Fridge was stocked with eggs, milk and juice upon arrival. We will stay here again.

Great time in Santa Ynez

We had the privilege of staying at this kid-friendly house in the Santa Ynez/Solvang area. The kids were loving every minute of the toys, electric cars, tricycle, and chickens. We also had a blast walking around downtown Solvang and feeding the ostriches and emus in Buellton. The hosts, Peter and Bev, are very kind and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

so much fun!

This lovely guest house was perfect for us (grandparents, adult children and toddler granddaughter). The play area, the remote control car, the sidewalk chalk and the chickens were all a HUGE HIT with our granddaughter. Peter and Bev were delightful hosts - very welcoming with a fridge magnet message and fresh food too! The place was clean, spacious, beds were comfortable. It was just right for us. Nice stay in a unique location close to Solvang

We had a quick visit to Solvang and Los Olivos and loved our stay. Peter and Bev are wonderful hosts and made the stay easy and memorable. Go for the garden!

Beautiful, serene garden where guests can sit and relax or chat while enjoying wine, coffee or whatever!!! Don’t miss seeing the chickens and roosters there! Extremely entertaining!

Comfortable

We booked this place because it was close to the Santa Ynez Equestrian Center, so we were super happy with the location. It's in a nice neighborhood conveniently close to the market. We were on the go most of the time, so we weren't able to fully enjoy all the amenities or interact much with Paul and Bev. Paul was responsive to text messages and very accommodating of requests. We loved the large kitchen and sitting areas. The bathroom is small, so keep that in mind; also, there is no bathtub if you need one. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were plenty of towels and bedding around. Definitely more for a family in most ways (except the bathroom), so it was super spacious for the two of us. The parking area is on the property, so it's secure and convenient, particularly for loading and unloading, which we did a lot of. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Peter and Bev were amazing with their promptness in communicating. They wanted to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible and the kitchen was fully stocked as described, including the delicious fresh eggs. Great hosts, would definitely recommend!!! It was nice to walk in and find a welcoming message on the chalkboard 😀 **the only thing i would recommend is that if theres a 5th person sleeping there in the twin bed and you dont like your matress super duper firm, then bring a matress topper.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay at this elegant property. The kids loved it and the house was really well appointed for a family with young children. Lots of personal charm and character and all of the things we needed. Our hosts were fantastic too as were the resident chickens we met on site. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Very close drive to Solvang and nice local cafes and grocery stores nearby.

Clean, unique, lovely and comfy with fresh flowers and chickens

The space is large and clean. The decor is artsy and unique in the most wonderful way! Fresh eggs from the chickens, butter, milk and cream, nicely set up kitchen and sweet property all around with a lovely garden, fruit trees and chickens! We had a wonderful experience. The only small downside is the space is rather "live" and you can hear each other from room to room. No biggie though.

Peaceful home

One of the most relaxing places we’ve stayed at. From the inside space to the beautiful gardens outside and the chickens and rooster roaming around, this place was one we will be happy to return to. Definitely top of our list. We had a great time!!

Wonderful place for families

This property is beautiful, relaxing and perfect for families with young kids. There were fresh eggs from the chickens; oranges and grapes growing everywhere that you are welcome to pick; and an amazing electric car that my five year-old drove around in pretty much all day. The location is perfect--close to wineries and Solvang but also quiet and peaceful. Peter and Deb were gracious, easygoing hosts. We loved staying here.
