Charming Cottage - Conveniently located to Cal Poly and Downtown SLO

  • Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located cottage in downtown SLO. The cottage is light and airy, with all the essentials minus the clutter. Bonus points if you find the original 1930’s milk door!

    Great location for visiting Cal Poly; walking or biking to our town’s famous Thursday evening Farmer’s Market; or getting away for a long weekend of hiking, mountain biking or wine tasting (all within 10 minutes of the cottage).

    The cottage is in close proximity to some great local coffee shops (Field Day and Skippers) and downtown restaurants. Easy bike ride into downtown or a 10 minute walk.

    Get a good night’s rest on our new mattresses. Both rooms have blackout curtains and new bedding.

    Can ride directly out to Poly Canyon/Stenner Creek mountain bike trails.

    The dining area doubles as a work space with a small table and outlets nearby.

    We purchased the cottage in 2013 and have been enjoying upgrading it while maintaining some of the original 1930’s charm.

I would stay again at the cottage. It was super well done, cozy, cute, clean and good location. Owner was beyond responsive and so easy to work with. Highly recommend.

We were attending a wedding at the Monday club. The location was perfect for us to take a short walk to and from the wedding. The rooms are cute and clean. The shared bathroom is between the two bedrooms. We enjoyed sitting in the living area to visit. Easy street parking out front. A nice stay overall.

The cottage was really cute, clean, and very conveniently located to the downtown area. It was easy to get anywhere. We really appreciated the chocolates left for us and the timely welcome and check in info.

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay. Very clean, well stocked with necessary items. Located close to everything we needed & yet in a nice quiet neighborhood. The host was great with all communication and even offered to leave us some half & half in a mason jar for our coffee the next day as we were arriving on a late flight! We would absolutely recommend staying in the adorable cottage!

Charming home in SLO. Great location, easily walkable to downtown. Had lots of different options for making coffee which was nice (French Press, Keurig, Pour Over). House worked great for us and our 2 teenagers. Bathroom can get quite warm if people are taking back to back showers since there's no fan and we didn't want to open the window while using since it opens to the backyard tenant. Owner was great and easy to reach.

Great location- walk downtown or to Cal Poly. The house had everything we needed. Loved the bonus of fruit trees in the yard! Host was very responsive and gave us recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. Thank you for all- we had a great stay!

Our stay in the cottage was comfortable and convenient for 3 adults. The location is wonderfully quiet while being close to Cal Poly and downtown. Street parking with lots of availability is another plus. Kitchen amenities are a bit limited but we primarily ate out so had no issues. We also appreciated having a later checkout. We would stay here again for our next SLO visit.

Perfect Cottage

The cottage met and exceeded our expectations. It is in an amazing location as we bounced back and forth from Cal Poly and downtown. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in this cute, homey cottage.

Great spot to stay in SLO

This property is very well-maintained and close to downtown SLO. The owners were very easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. Definitely will stay here again.
