Great Getaway

Our stay was wonderful. It is a good location, The Sea House is a beautiful place and view was amazing. Marina & Eddy are very friendly and take care of anything you need. I also recommend taking advantage of Marina's cooking services. She (and Eddy) are fantastic cooks.

Exceeded expectations

We stayed for just a little over one week and have plans to return. Rose (owner) has been fantastic to deal with and her home is absolutely beautiful with every amenity a guest would want. Our visit was a wonderful experience from start to finish!

Beautiful property!

We came to visit the sea house in April, the weather was warm and dry and perfect for beach, surf, fun. We were 3 adults who love to bird watch, hike, surf, swim, bike, climb, sit, read, and enjoy nature. This place was perfect. The onsite staff is lovely and always ready to help or answer a question. We cooked in that beautiful kitchen many mornings and nights and just enjoyed sitting outside to eat and wind down for the night. Beds were extremely comfortable and it’s nice each bedroom had a bath connected. We would totally come stay again and recommend others to stay as well!

The property is stunning with nothing needed. A little bit of a hike into town, but nothing too strenuous. We were visiting g during the rainy season, so when we come back (and we plan on it!) we will bring some rain gear.

Paradise

This is my second time staying at this beautiful home in San Juan del Sur. My family and I had a great time during our way too short 3 night stay. We loved hanging out by the pool, played table games, read books while relaxing on the hammock, cooked and made awesome memories. The Sea House had everything we needed to make delicious family meals. Marina and Eddy are always so kind and helpful. The house is close enough to town but far enough to enjoy the tranquility of the birds singing in the morning. We can’t wait to be back in this beautiful home which so perfectly highlights the natural beauty of my beloved Nicaragua.

I had a great experience overall with my stay. Rose (the owner) is very thorough and covers a lot of questions you might have up front. She will send you a welcome packet a few days before your stay… READ IT lol. I found myself with questions and referring to the packet often and sure enough the answers were there.All of the care takers of the property were very friendly. I didn’t even know they were there unless I needed help with something. I personally really appreciated knowing someone was there. Also, I loved the dog. He’s very friendly and playful. I highly recommend you stay here if you are visiting San Juan Del Sur!

Loved our stay at the Seahouse!!

We spent 9 nights at the Seahouse, and was the perfect spot for relaxation and introduction to Nicaragua. Rose was a great host from communicating all the information we needed, she left nothing out. Marina and Eddy were great and take good care of the house and then Petey will have you cuddling with him once you meet him. I would recommend the seahouse and return in a heartbeat. 5 stars!!

Best VRBO stay E-V-E-R

If you have found this property, you have obviously read the reviews… There is nothing else to be said or reiterated. The house is impeccable. The grounds are magnificent. The location is unbeatable. Everything from a kitchen any chef would be proud of to the furnishings, the comfy beds, the pool, the indoor/outdoor speakers built-in to the stereo - truly his paradise in San Juan Del Sur. Every interaction we had from the initial booking with the owner to the arrival and check-in with the property manager, to the staff on the property was five stars! We are already planning our return.

Absolute treasure !

We loved everything about this spot. Lots of space, fully equipped - there wasn't anything we couldn't find. Petey the house pup was amazing ! - I feel like that's the new amenity we will look for when we search for homes. - he really stole our hearts since our pup recently passed. The view is gorgeous this really is the place you want to book when you come to San Juan Del Sur, far enough from the noise that you can enjoy the peace and quite but close enough you can join the party when you want. You will not be disappointed !

Do not miss this property

The Sea House really lives up to its excellent reviews!!! We all felt like we were in an absolute dream. The house is beyond gorgeous with every single detail thought of. Marina was an absolute gem, cooking amazing meals and helping pick up our groceries. The view is stunning and if you can believe it the pictures don’t do the house justice. The house is a 15 or so minute walk from a very secluded and beautiful beach, it has all the perks!! The beds were so comfortable all of us looked at the brand individually to see if we could buy the mattresses ourselves at home. We can’t wait to come back!! Do not skip this incredible home.

Perfection

I can't say enough about my experience. From the time I booked Rose made me feel like a friend. The pictures on here do not begin to do this house justice. The detail on everything had me in just as much awe as the sunsets. The bed was super comfortable, the pool couldn't have been better and Eddy and Marina were great. And Petey took me on a walk that had even more amazing views. Marina's cooking is fantastic too. I could go on and on about how great everything was. Thanks so much Rose !

Beyond our wildest Dreams!

To see house deserves its own constellation of stars as five stars doesn't even touch how great it was. The property itself will blow your mind, it's so beautiful. As for all the other reviews Eddie and Marina are top notch caretakers and it's true what they say about Marina's cooking. If you have a chance take advantage of it. And as for rose, the owner, she was absolutely the best to be in communication with. We love the place so much we're going back in the next two weeks. And last but not least, there's PT the resident dog who will capture your heart and you might cry too when you leave

Incredible property that exceeds all expectations

Other reviews have said it, and it's totally true: the photos of this property can't capture its amazingness! I knew I'd found a great rental, but I was blown away when we arrived. The property outside and views are stunning, there is so much space and different areas/types of seating throughout the house and outdoors for whatever mood, the interior decor is on point, beds are super comfortable and nothing is worn or dated. Rose is a stellar host and not only does she provide an abundance of information before the rental, but she's very responsive to questions. The caretakers, Marina and Eddy, are lovely and so helpful and as two women staying at the house for a few nights, we loved knowing that Marina and Eddy were right next door, along with Petey the guard dog. I can't think of a single thing to suggest to improve this property!

Waking up in heaven!

I don’t have the words to describe how wonderful our stay at the sea house was. I mean the view from the patio is breathtaking ( or the spacious balcony). There was a big storm one night and the sound of the rain and thunder were beautiful. The house is only 15 to 30 minutes to the nearest beaches , we decided to go to El remanso that was about 25 minutes away. Going to San Juan del sur town it’s only like 5 or 10 minutes. Marina and Eddie were a great help. Marina is a wonderful chef and we were very spoiled with her cooking. Marina and Eddie were super kind. Swimming in the pool after a long day at the beach or before going to the beach is incredible. We like nature so we were so fascinated with the hummingbirds, tropical birds, butterflies and the sound of the howler monkeys at sunset. Obviously I highly recommend staying at this property.

Breathtaking Views

Our stay at the Sea House was Incredible! Upon arrival we had a wonderful meal prepared!! Omg so delightful after our travels and delicious!! We had the jalapeño chicken with salad and rice!! Incredible fruits and ice cold beer! The house itself is gorgeous and so comfortable!! You never want to leave in fact we spent several days just enjoying the pool, the sounds and the peacefulness of the view! I will never get sick of that view!! We did take in many of the near by beaches and Hermosa was our favourite!! The water is so nice and the people amazing. San Juan Del sure is an incredible town where you will find so many amazing places to eat and relax. Don’t be afraid to try some of the hidden tiny restaurants!! We found their food was the best if you want to enjoy the try culture… be sure to hit the fish market every day wow the seafood is incredible. The jumbo shrimps and lobster!! The staff at the home are incredibly kind and wonderful!! Always there if we needed anything and Peety the dog is lovely and very affectionate!! I would absolutely recommend The Sea house and San Juan Del Sur!! Warm, Friendly, Safe! Thank you so much Rose!! We hope to back soon!!

Cream of the crop in the area

We had an amazing stay. There isn’t much I can say about this property that other reviewers haven’t. But specific to our situation - we were comfortable here with baby/ 6 year olds through 70+ with arthritis. I chose this home because the reviews, photos and description made me confident we would be able to fully enjoy our vacation without worrying about anything. I have been visiting San Juan del Sur for 20 years and have stayed in multiple rentals and hotels there and elsewhere in Nicaragua (and have lived for years in Nicaragua), and I was confident Rose’s home would not present us with the problems or deficiencies I’ve experienced in other rentals (at similar nightly rates) that can make vacations just a bit less relaxing. I was not disappointed - the home is clean, the kitchen better equipped than my own kitchen (so fun to cook in their kitchen!), all appliances work, little things like salt, coffee filters, plenty of kitchen towels were present, the a/cs all work well, the bed linens and towels are good quality, water pressure is good, the pool is cleaned daily along with the house and patio, and the house caretakers are pleasant and helpful. The list could go on. You will not be disappointed!

Sea House

The Sea House was AMAZING!! We were so at home with a warm welcome from Eddy,Melina and Jack the dog that we booked a longer stay than we had planned. Didn't want to leave,that's how good it was. Peaceful and quiet, but minutes from shopping and dining out. The house is immaculate. Supper comfy beds,fully equipped kitchen and breathtaking view. I also recommend Gaby Transporta if traveling from Costa Rica or anywhere else,we received outstanding personal service from his company. Alas..long journey from Alaska to Nicuraga but it is one I will book next year. Very nice Private house

Great property, pictures are very accurate ! Well kept and easy home to enjoy!! The live in staff is all but invisible, and the house dog, Jack , is an excellent accessory for dog lovers like myself . Its located over the hill from SJDS , about $10 max taxi fare, very private and secure. Will visit again .

the sea house is absolutely stunning! The pool is my favorite I could sit there for days and have not a care in the world. The options are endless on things to do whether it be boat rides, horse back riding on the beach, ziplinig the options are endless! Highly recommended!!

Beautiful property. Well maintained. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We will be back!

The Sea House is paradise! The house and grounds are immaculate with onsite staff to cook and clean allowing your vacation to be relaxing and enjoyable. Some of our best meals were prepared by the couple who live onsite for a very minimal fee. The view is spectacular both day and night - from the ocean and birds in the am to the sunset and the stars after dark. The area is gated and very safe and quiet but only a few minutes to town. Jack the guard dog is a special addition to this amazing home! We loved the Sea House and can’t wait until we have the opportunity to visit again. It’s a real gem!
