For first-timers to San Diego, this was a great place to stay. In a neighborhood that is walkable to the beach (20 min) bars and restaurants, including 2 breakfast places just steps away from the front door (we liked the Hawaiian spot better). The place is absolutely spotless, spacious and well-appointed, and we felt very comfortable here. We didn't take advantage of the kitchen amenities, but there were plenty if you wanted to cook for yourself. The ground coffee that was a gift from the hosts was great too. There is plenty of space to spread out in the house, every bedroom has its own bathroom. All the TVs worked and were logged into any streaming app you could possibly want. The hot tub on the balcony is a great touch, we spent a ton of time out there. The only complaint I have about this property is the mattress in the primary bedroom is extremely uncomfortable. Super soft and sagging in the middle, I assume that's it's a bit older and has been well-used. Anyone who has even a bit of back or joint pain, I wouldn't sleep in this room. My in-laws stayed in the second bedroom (queen bed) and said their bed was fine. The bottom mattress on the bunk beds had the same soft/sagging problem. I ended up sleeping on the couch part of the time. Overall, great stay, we enjoyed our time in the home and walking around the neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.
