This was our second stay and we’ll book it again the next time we bring the kids and grands to San Diego. Great location and a comfy house with lots of bedrooms and outdoor spaces overlooking the surf and the boardwalk.

Great location and good layout for a group. However, the house was not very clean, front door was handle was broken when we got there and was supposed to be fixed the next day but never was, and basic items like shampoo, conditioner, adequate toilet paper, trash bags, towels were not provided. Towels and sheets were very worn also. For the price I really expected a first class place.

We stayed at this beach house in 2021 and returned 4 years later this summer. It is perfect in that the beach is right out the front door. If you don't want to sit in the sand and sun all day long, take a break and go up on one of the decks on the second or third level and watch all the action on the ocean front walk, relax in the Jacuzzi or stretch out on a nice padded chaise lounge. It's an easy walk to Belmont Park, or you're just one block from Mission Blvd. where there are plenty of local restaurants and bars to try -- or maybe you'd like to do some shopping. It's just a hop, skip and jump to the Olive Bakery in the morning for their absolutely scrumptious cinnamon rolls - no dieting on vacation. All in all, our family (3 generations) had a wonderful, relaxing vacation on Mission Beach!

Family Spring Beak Adventures

10/10 location! The house was perfect for our Spring Break. We were able to enjoy the beach, bay, nearby shops, Belmont Park, Seaworld and countless other adventures. The house was amazing. We enjoyed the views from the bedrooms, living room and rooftop deck. We spotted dolphins and other sea life pretty much every day. We bbq'd on the deck and enjoyed family dinners. We used the hottub constantly. The host met us for check-in to provide a detailed tour of the home. He checked in during the week to make sure our stay was going well. Overall, the house was excellent and exceeded our expectations.

Older Furnishings Throughout - Excellent Oceanside Location

Easy walking distance to a wide variety of food establishments, local attractions & grocery stores. “Yes” the beach is outside the front door. There is a 3rd floor roof-top hot tub with old loungers on a large painted patio. Attached 2 car garage. Clothes washer / dryer included but No laundry detergent. The kitchen is in dire need of a complete update. The old living room repurposed movie sofas felt sticky but the large tv screen was a plus. There is a large old dining table with uncomfortable sunken leather web strap seats. There are No bath toiletries (soap, shampoo) in the house. Lots of stairs going everywhere. The portable second floor barbecue is new however the second floor patio table is very wobbly and old. I highly recommend this beach house as your rental if you are looking for the Best “Mission Beach” location and staying in an older worn interior with stairs and limited amenities!!

Wonderful Home!

We rented this spacious wonderful home to attend my son's wedding in November. It has a stellar location on the beach, and its spacious decks are great for sunsets and hot tubing. Curtis was easy to work with, accomodated dropping one day, and explained all the house systems. Everyone loved staying here. The living area was large enough to have a comfortable 2-family get together (16 for dinner). One note: the Fifth queen bed is in a library like space that doesn't have a door and that another bedroom is accessed through; it might be awkward for a couple. We didn't need it. The groomsmen enjoyed the hot tub! and there was even an ironing board and iron for touch-ups. It's a very spacious, comfortable home and perfect for our needs.

The most beautiful house on the boardwalk

Perfect spot to host my husbands 40th birthday , the grill didn’t end up working which was a little bit of a downer but we quickly improvised. Check in and check out was super easy .

50th Birthday Getaway

Beautiful house right on the beach. Everything you need in a house plus a hot tub on the roof. Great outdoor furniture on the decks for morning coffee or sunset watching from the roof. There is plenty to do nearby and it's a short walk for stores and great food. I would book this place again for sure. We had a blast.

Christmas Week 2024

Pros: Perfect location in Mission Beach. Home sits right on the boardwalk (paved path for walking, biking, running). 2 bars and a bakery essentially at the end of the driveway! Teens walked to Belmont Park (day pass is 54 online). We utilized roof top deck for hot tub and sunsets. We enjoyed watching dolphins every day right in front of the house. Know Before You Go: If you have 2 rental cars, they will not fit in the garage. We had 2 compact SUVs (typical rentals) and could not park them (perhaps if we crawled through the trunk to get out. I parked my car on the street each night which was inconvenient. The home sleeps 10, but the queen is a Murphy’s bed with no door on the room, so not much privacy. Also, the couch accommodates 5, so not terribly comfortable for 8 of us to gather and open presents or hang when it was cold outside. The fireplace is also not functioning. All good things to be aware of before you book. I highly suggest you bring your own toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc). I confirmed amenities prior to arrival and then found Mens Dial 3in1 in the shower. All of the ladies did not want to use that, so I went to the store to buy everything. They also don’t have hair dryers (this home is not stocked like all other VRBO homes I have stayed in). They also don’t stock other basics like tissues or things for the kitchen like ziplocks, tin foil etc, so plan to purchase or bring your own. Many of the outlets in this home do not work and som

best house on the beachfront

I scanned through every Vrbo on the beachfront and ended up splurging on this one because aside from being one of the few that had everything I was looking for, something about it told me we just HAD to stay here. Was WELL worth the choice. Think of the nightly rate as being the cost of staying in the nicest house you’ll ever set foot in your life. Curtis is a chill dude as well and knows a lot about San Diego

The Perfect San Diego Vacation!

We adored everything about our stay at the Tuscan Villa Mansion! The owner was absolutely delightful and so helpful accommodating our every need - and offered tons of helpful tips and recommendations about the area. The location is PHENOMENAL!! Literally there is just a walkway between the home and the magnificent Mission Beach. Throughout the day, we watched pods of dolphins play in the surf right in front of our home. It was magical! At high tide the beach is huge - and at low tide it's even more incredible - with shallow tide pools - and pretty shells and tiny sand dollars to collect. The home is loaded with towels and blankets, beach chairs, beach toys and boogie boards! The washer and dryer were new and huge - and easily handled our needs. The roof deck jacuzzi is one of the best features. It was pristinely clean and warmed to just the right temperature for us upon our arrival. We so enjoyed relaxing in it after visits to Sea World and the Zoo - and so did the grandkids. Especially loved watching the dolphins and sipping on a cocktail! The house was very clean and the sheets and towels smelled freshly washed. There is fabulous breakfast food right around the corner and wonderful restaurants in walking distance. We can't wait to return to this heavenly spot! I would recommend for any and all families - or a group of friends. And be in touch with Curtis - the owner - he's fabulous!

Perfect Spot On The Beach

Great location! While it was just a friend and I along with some of our colleagues during the day - it’d be perfectly suited for groups up to 10 comfortably. If someone doesn’t mind sleeping on a couch or two - bump that up to 12-14. Great vibes all around. Within a 20min at most of anything you’d need and within minutes of great food spots and rentals for bikes, boards, wetsuits. Property owner is great to work with. Informative. Gives a good layout of his place. Chill and easy. Will be coming back next time I’m in San Diego.

Family getaway

The views were spectacular and sunsets amazing! We loved walking to restaurants and bars close to the house. The hot tub on top floor - fabulous to soak as we watched the sun go down. Very comfortable lounge chairs, couches and beds. If you rent this home, don’t forget soap, shampoo & conditioner - as they are not included. We barbecued each night and enjoyed the beach by day. The parking is a challenge in the Pacific Beach area. The garage fits one car and a motorcycle. Parking on the street is difficult to come by. Carpooling to this house is best.
