Our family came out to Mission Bay for a family reunion. We loved our stay at this VRBO because it was so kid friendly. There was a small table and 4 chairs that the kids loved to call their own. In the garage were boogy boards, frisbees, balls, sand toys for kids and lounge chairs and bikes for the adults. It was a no-brainer - the kids loved it all.

Perfectly located between the Pacific Ocean and the bay. Fun place for the kids with the “hidden” bed cubbies! We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you need for cooking

We just didn’t a week in San Diego with all of our kids. Our youngest graduated from high school and we celebrated with a total of 12 with the youngest being 19. I was concerned about having enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably and we really had no probs. The loft sleeping areas are tight and I heard one complaint that there wasn’t any air flow up there but otherwise everyone had an amazing time. Location is great. The kitchen was amazing and had everything I needed to prepare meals everyday and the different decks were great. I enjoyed the roof deck a great deal! It was a huge hit for our family!

Downside - floors were filthy, our feet were caked in dirt walking inside for a few minutes. There was also a musty smell in the house when we first got there. Property does not have shampoo, conditioner, or body wash (this wasn’t noted in listing) so we had to run out to get some.Upside - Property was in a great location, good view of the bay/ocean. Parking in garage fit SUV. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.

We just returned home from our 7th spring break trip in this area. This is a great spot with a lot of room. The house is very well stocked inside and for outside beach activities. Teresa was great! My only constructive feedback is the master bedroom’s beds were not very comfortable. A king size bed would also be nice. I would stay again next year if this was considered. Thank you!

House was great! Clean, comfortable and roomy. Loved the charm of the house. Neighborhood was great. Walked to multiple restaurants and beach/boardwalk access was fantastic. Easy comms with owner/property manager and no surprises. Excellent natural light with the windows and skylights.

11 of us, including pre teens and 2 young children stayed and had a wonderful time. House itself was clean, spacious, and stocked with all the amenities you would need. Bedrooms and mattresses were comfortable, temperature was easily adjustable and everything worked as expected. Location of this house was perfectly situation around all the attractions we wanted to see. Had great views of the bay and the bright windows allowed beautiful vistas and sunshine. Highly recommend this property.

The house is very unique. It has sleeping coves that my grandchildren loved. There are a lot of stairs. The bay and ocean are steps away. The house had everything we needed.The airport is close and the San Diego Zoo.Parking is limited. A small/ medium car can fit in the garage.

Overall, we had a great stay. Parking was tight but that was mentioned in the summary. Neighborhood can be a bit loud/rowdy on the weekends. We loved having the beach bikes as we used them daily. The boogie boards, sand toys, and beach chairs were also great to use and in wonderful condition. Floors looked clean but our bare feet were always dirty after walking on the floors. Great location between the beach and the bay. Fit our family of two kids and 4 adults with plenty of room to move around.

Our family loved the location between the ocean and the bay. House was comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook for our nine family members. Beach chairs, coolers and wagon made it easy to walk to the beach or bay. Four kids ages 11 to 20 had a great time.

We enjoyed a four night stay with 3 adults and 3 teens. The view of the bay was lovely and the upper rooftop deck was great to watch the Sea World fireworks. Everything was clearly labeled and instructions were clear. From kitchen utensils to beach games to laundry supplies we had everything we needed. Highly recommend! The location was easy to walk to the ocean side and anywhere else in the Mission Beach area.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at this beach house with all its amenities especially the bikes, kid beach toys, boogie boards, and even coolers! We had everything we needed for being steps away from the bay for a chill beach day, and just a few more steps to the ocean to ride the waves. The house is well-appointed, spacious, and clean. The kids couldn't get enough of the secret cubby beds. We will be coming back!

7 of my friends and I were celebrating my 80th BD! Those stairs were a small challenge for medium mobile seniors. BUT it was worth it, to be sure. (On that note, the 2nd floor large master has hints of being handicapped—which of course it cant be due to stairs, but a grab bar in the very deep wonderful tub would be good for seniors). We had an Operator Error on the stove and called for help. The maintenance man had to drive an hr, but was pleasant and very nicely helpful! There was not a problem with the stove! Unfortunately, the home was not really deep-clean. It looked clean but the floors were really not! That made more a difference to ladies, probably than to young families. We had a blast! The common areas are fabulous—living room, inside and outside dining. You could be a chef and find everything you need, including a new set of stemless champagne flutes which the host bought especially for our celebration. The biggest challenge we had was trying to maneuver two suv’s in the very small parking spaces. NOTE: inside the garage we were able to squeeze in a Honda CRV—not a spare inch! Worse, an Acura RVX would not fully fit in the marked parking just outside the door — we moved garbage cans and we were within an inch of house not being able to get out of drivers seat! I’d definitely book this house again, especially as long as stairs are not a problem and vehicles fit!

Great place, great location, very clean. Only thing to consider is if you are traveling with young kids or older guests that the house does have a lot of stairs and there is some echo in the lower level rooms when people walk upstairs. Both weren’t issues for our group but something to consider when looking to book.

This was such a fun property for our family ! Close to both the beach and bay and great restaurants. We really enjoyed the 2 bikes and rented more at the shop e-rides down the street. The host was amazing to communicate with and check in was super easy ! Loved our stay!

We loved our stay at the Kemp family beach home! Besides being a beautiful and comfortable property with fabulous amenities, it was the perfect location for access to the ocean, bay and The Point where we attended a wedding. So many features that made our stay so comfortable: -The top floor with large kitchen, living room with a comfy couch for a quick nap!, and big deck with table off dining area-a few in our party loved sitting out there drinking coffee in the early morning. -We loved the design of the kitchen, its appliances and how well stocked it is. There is an abundance of counter space, cookware, serving dishes, cooking and eating utensils, storage containers and more. We didn’t do any baking, but had we wanted to, there was no lack there. -Night lights strategically placed throughout the house - bedrooms, bathrooms & hallways. -Kleenex available in the kitchen and every bathroom. -Two paper towels on holders in the kitchen. Items we used that made our stay more fun: -Two well-maintained beach cruisers -Beach chairs & coolers -Horse shoes - such a hit at our beach get together! Other highlights: -We were able to park a 2001 Toyota Tacoma and 6 seat golf cart in the garage! People stopping by to visit were able to park in the space in front of the garage. -Teresa was very prompt to respond whenever we contacted her and accommodated our request for early check-in. -Nancy, the property manager, was helpful and provided clear instructions.
