We were in town to surprise my dad for his 80th birthday. It was the entire family me and the kids and the grandkids in the house was perfect. The views were amazing plenty of room for everybody in space to spread out.

Easy breezy check-in to this lovely vacation home. We really enjoyed the location. Just a 4 block walk to the beach. The home is up on the hill so gorgeous views! The kitchen was so well-stocked. Beds all comfy and the home was very clean. We appreciated the large dining table for our group of 6 adults. Would definitely book this wonderful property again!

We spend Christmas 2025 with extended family coming from East and West coats. Carl and Vicki's place was perfect for our stay. The location and views are spectacular, the house very comfortable and well appointed and the kitchen equipped to cook a beautiful Christmas dinner.

Carl and Vicki are incredible hosts!This is our second visit. The house is in a great location with a beautiful view and short walk to the beach and great restaurants.We were traveling as an extended family to attend a 3Day charity walk. The house is well equipped, family friendly, and perfect for a family getaway.We will be back!

Wonderful house with great views of Mission Bay and the Beaches. The beds were excellent, clean, and fresh. The kitchen had all the things you need to cook your own meals. We used the house to celebrate our family and it slept 8 adults plus 2 kids very comfortably. Thank you Carl for all and we hope to use it again next summer.

Enjoyed our stay

We had a great visit in San Diego this home is wonderful and met our expectations. Carl communicated quickly with any questions we had. We traveled with our adult children and spouses with a 16 month old. The house had everything we needed for the baby and each couple had their own space and bathroom which made it so nice for all of us. Amazing stay we hope to return.

Beautiful Home in OB

This updated and well appointed home has everything you could possibly need inside and out. The views of the Ocean and Mission Bay are spectacular. Carl and Vicki were the most gracious hosts and so accommodating to our elderly grandparents who were traveling with the family to attend our son’s college graduation. We all had a lovely time in this luxurious and comfortable home. 5 stars all the way!

This property was beautiful and well maintained. It had plenty of space for our family group. The downstairs area offered privacy. The kitchen was very well supplied with dishes, cooking utensils, etc. The location was great; close to the beach, the little community of Ocean Beach and San Diego. It was a lovely area for a walk!

We loved this home in OB. It was a fantastic community. The location was also so convenient to downtown, La Jolla, seaport area. The house had everything we needed. Awesome kitchen, cozy beds and super clean.

Great location!

We traveled with my extended family to participate in a 3Day breast cancer charity walk. The house was in an ideal location, and provided a comfortable place for us to rest between walking 20 miles each day. The house was clean, well-stocked, and as advertised.

SD trip

This was a fantastic plane to stay for 4 couples. Everyone had their own space and more. Great deck that we had coffee on every morning. It's a hike up the hill to get home from the beach but definitely walkable. Would absolutely stay here again!

Family trip

The host and the house were as described and above expectations. It was perfect for all ages and had exactly what we needed for the entire family. It was so nice to not have to worry about having space and the necessary items for a home away from home (baby gate, pack n play, toy room, high chair)! The view is marvelous. Close to all activities that we planned for our stay. Super communication from the host. We could not have asked for a better home to spend this vacation at. We will forever remember this trip and look forward to returning and booking again.

Wonderful house to share for families with kids

Communications with the hosts were great right from booking. Carl responsed promptly to questions and was kind. The house is at the top of a hill above Ocean Beach. It’s a great work out to go down and back. The garage is packed full of things you might want for a beach outing. The house is clean and comfortable and great for families. Kitchen is great too and the game room was a hit.

Second Stay - Won't Be Our Last!

This was our second stay at this lovely home. We used to live in the neighborhood and bring our family back every year. We've stayed at several great properties but this one tops our list! It's incredibly well stocked, great for families and the hosts could not be more welcoming. We'll be back for a third stay soon!

Family Trip

My mom was raised in OB and we wanted to bring her back for some nostalgia. Six adults and two children had an incredible 7 night stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed while there. The garage was full stocked with beach items which was extremely helpful. The walk was steep, but very manageable to downtown (our party of 8 did it multiple times a day). The neighborhood was very quiet other than the overhead flights, which we quickly adjusted too. Carl was very attentive and responded quickly to any questions throughout the week. We hope to return again soon!

Fantastic stay in OB/ SD

This house was a dream! We had a party of 8 kids/adults and enjoyed this home for our vacation. There was enough space for everyone, it was comfortable and kid friendly. The location was perfect and the neighborhood was lovely for walking. We planned to cook together for meals and then kitchen was well suited for this. The home was comfortable and clean. My kids gave it two thumbs up- they loved the bunk beds and game area downstairs, plus the beach supplies for our use. The owners were super nice and checked in throughout the trip. Highly recommend!!

Lovely place!

This home was a wonderful location and experience for our family of 10 visiting to celebrate graduation from UCSD. The owner was attentive to all the details, even installing a baby gate at the stairs for the protection of our 3 year old granddaughter. The rooms were spacious with everything you needed and it was great to have the 3 bathrooms. We loved the kitchen and how well appointed it was all the equipment you could need and we cooked breakfast everyday there. It was also really nice that there was plenty of seating both for dining and relaxing. Of course, you can't leave a review of this place without commenting on the view over the ocean and Mission Bay, it's just beautiful! I will say that the airplane departure noise was a bit of nuisance (the departure path crosses overhead), but it doesn't run at night so it didn't disturb our sleep. The check-out procedures were super reasonable and made the wrap up on the last day just as easy as the rest of the stay. All-in-all a very lovely stay and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it without any hesitation!

Beautiful and Clean!

This property is amazing and we enjoyed our stay so much! Breathtaking views, green parrots in the loquat tree outside, and the house had every detail/need covered. Carl was so helpful and kind! We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for the great memories!

A Gem in the Crown of San Diego

Family trip of 3 generations. We enjoyed our stay immensely! The house is absolutely beautiful and very well appointed. Every time we went looking for (you name it), we would open a drawer or closet, and there it was. The decor was so tastefully done and very comfortable. We were very impressed with the kids' playroom that kept our 2 and 4 year olds occupied. We will definitely want to book again next time we visit San Diego!

A Perfect Place 4 Us

We stayed at Carl and Vicky’s house for almost 2 months. We had friends and family visit during our stay and the house perfectly met all of our needs. Carl and Vicky were very respectful of our privacy and extremely responsive to whatever we needed. There’s probably a repeat visit to this property and its owners!
