The location was absolutely perfect—just steps from the beach, shops, and great food. I counted about 50 steps from the front door to the sand! I had considered renting a house directly on the beach, but decided against it because those homes tend to have a lot of foot traffic right out front. This spot was the ideal balance of convenience and privacy.We stayed here over Christmas, and the added bonus was the festive Christmas tree on the beach decorated with colorful plastic sand toys and shovels. You could see it from the patio, and we even took our family photos there—it was such a fun touch!The house itself was spotless and tastefully decorated, with a cozy, beachy vibe throughout. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed—pots, pans, casserole dishes, a coffee maker, and more.We had one minor hiccup when the power went out, but the owner responded immediately and guided us to the fuse box to fix the issue.Overall, we loved everything about this stay and will definitely be back!

The dining area was perfect for enjoying meals together — it seats six comfortably, making it ideal for both family dinners and casual breakfasts.One of our favorite features was the balcony — a quiet, peaceful spot to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze and watch the world go by. Perfect place!

We vacation in San Diego every year and this has been our favorite house so far. Loved the location and view of the ocean. My favorite part was the upper patio where I drank my coffee every morning and watched the waves. The listing is accurate and looks like the pictures. We will be back!

Perfect Spot.

This is a great option for a small family visit to San Diego. The house was clean, has two well-stocked full baths and beds were very comfortable. My daughter loved the “hidden” bunk beds. We didn’t cook, but kitchen had everything you would need. I really appreciated the coffee that was available for guest use!Walkable to so many options, but if you choose to have a car (as we did) parking was very manageable. We couldn’t fit in the garage, but never had trouble finding a spot on street nearby. If you get lucky there is a spot on alley right next to the house!Views of the sunset from the upper balcony were stunning, too!

Great SD getaway

This was such a wonderful little place to stay with perfect location. It is less than one block to the beach, which is absolutely amazing. It’s close to everything including the airport. I stayed here with my 4 year old daughter and my mother, and we had a blast. The place itself was very clean and was even fully stocked for kids with dish ware and toys. It was perfect for our family

Perfect place to stay

We loved this place. Beautiful, clean, and close to the beach. Beds were comfy, there were tons of things inside to use at the beach. House has books, games, beach towels, beach chairs, bikes boogie boards. Will definitely stay again when i return to san diego.

Great House, Great Location

This home was perfect for our family of 5. The house was clean and included many items you typically don't find with VRBO rentals (paper towels, laundry detergent, hand soap in the bathrooms, etc.). The owner was kind and responsive to our questions. The location was perfect, just a few blocks from the grocery store, shops and restaurants. As a former San Diego resident, I can honestly say you won't find a better house and location in Mission Beach.

Absolute perfection!

I can’t say enough positive things about this property. We visit Mission Beach a few times a year & this was our favorite stay yet. The house was immaculately clean. The location is perfect. The parking is tight but that is expected in this area. Like other reviews have noted, plan for a small SUV or small sedan. The beds were comfy & we had plenty of space for my husband & I as well as our 17 & 20 year old daughters. The property had everything you need to spend the day on the beach. We will definitely stay here again!

Feels just like home!

We felt right at home! House is well stocked, from kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms! The host could not have been any more supportive and responsive! It is a great location, close to both ocean and bay. The small garage is a bit of a challenge, but after a couple tries at parking our compact rental, it was quite easy and convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice beach house in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was neat and clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The location is fantastic. It's a very short walk to the ocean beach on one side and Mission Bay on the other.

Awesome location!

Emily's place is just a couple houses away from the beach and boardwalk. The beach is viewable from the front porch or the balcony that sits off of one of the bedrooms. It has all the necessities and some. Emily was a great host and provided clear instructions for check-in and our stay. Everything is as described in the listing. The garage is truly for a compact car - which Emily states very clearly in the listing and instructions. We were able to find parking right outside the house most days throughout the week. On the weekend we were able to find street parking pretty easily. Would certainly stay here again.
