This was our second stay here and we absolutely loved it (again!)! We rescue and foster dogs - often with special needs - so it is difficult for us to find a suitable pet sitter. But this beautiful home away from home allows us to actually go on a vacation as a family. Our dogs always have a blast at the beach, which is our favorite part! Wonderful hosts and such a great place to stay with your pups. We’ll definitely be back!

First stay at Ocean Beach

The property was as advertised except the dryer didn’t work, but the hosts were great. This VRBO is very dog friendly. The backyard was beautiful. The hosts dogs were noisy when left alone. The hosts lived above the VRBO. The neighborhood had many homeless people camping in close proximity to the VRBO which the hosts had no control over.

Wonderful Family Vacay

Everything was absolutely amazing, Greg & Naomi were extremely friendly, welcoming, nice, && professional! They took care of us so well, and made our vacation extremely easy! Sooo close to the beach, we walked there everyday, & the trail on the back entrance was chef's kiss We watched the sunrise, sunset, and even squeezed in a morning run. Vibes were amazing 🥳All doggies had a blast and zonked out once we returned home. Def would stay again! Thank you!!!

Dog Vacation

We were back for our second visit! The location is absolutely unbeatable, and our dogs are over the moon about the back gate that opens right to their water playground. It’s pure bliss for all of us! This wonderful casa has everything you possibly need for an unforgettable stay!

Super dog friendly

We had a great time celebrating my mom’s bday right by the beach! It just so happened that we ended up getting there way earlier then expected and we were able to check in early and enjoy the day. I absolutely love how dog friendly they are and even include doggie toys and a bowl. Dogs are allowed on the furniture but they provide blankets so the doggies are even more comfy and the furniture is protected. What place do you know that provides that? The house was very ckean and the best part was you open the back door and you are steps away from the dog beach. We all loved it and are already talking about when we’ll be back.

My wife and our 3 dogs loved the space and the neighborhood. The outdoor space was wonderful and easy access to dog beach was a huge plus for us.

Very comfortable place to stay with three big dogs, one medium dog and four adults. Dog beach right outside the back gate. The city has many good restaurants and very friendly people.

Some problems with long term stays

Property manager, Greg, was always courteous and responsive to our questions and concerns. It was very nice being so close to Dog Beach for a month.The reasons for our moderate evaluation has to do 3 issues.1). There is no working clothes dryer. So, you either have to go to the laundromat, or hang clothes throughout the apt. or on a 5’ line outside. Not good for a long term stay.2). New LVT flooring has been installed through most of the apartment, but not in the 2nd bedroom. So, there is uneven and jagged flooring which could be a tripping hazard, and if you do not have shoes on, could easily result in a cut foot.3). There is absolutely no view from this apartment, or from the back yard. It has a bit of a claustrophobic feel.The best thing about this rental is its location. Dog beach/Pacific Ocean is about 2 blocks away. In the other direction is a great park for dog walking.

Comfortable, clean and sweet little touches that let you know that the owners care about their guests. So glad the owners provided the shampoo and conditioner in the shower because I forgot to pack mine but didn’t have to run to the market for that item.

Great location-dogs were so thrilled!

Great stay! Dogs loved it and it was so nice being able to walk out of the back gate and have a very short walk to the dog beach. The owners definitely have the place set up for the pups, with dog wash stations, dog blankets for the furniture, and some toys etc. The full kitchen was great and well appointed for being a smaller space. Was just perfect for what we needed!

First time to San Diego in 25 years

And first time for our kids to see the Pacific. We had the best time and our dog, Hank was absolutely in heaven on dog beach! The house was perfect, the location perfect! The beach was literally a stone’s throw away. We lived it and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for an awesome stay!
