Privileged location, everything 10-15 minutes out. Property has everything you need in the kitchen, big bedrooms. We were all comfortable and Ali was very attentive all the time.

We stayed with our large family of 13 ranging from seniors to infants and had a wonderful time. The house, its accommodations and location were all great. The house had plenty of room and everyone loved the pool and rooftop terrace (great for sunsets across the bay and the kids loved watching the planes flying in and out of the airport). We did a mix of eating out and in, and the kitchen was sufficiently large and well-stocked to accommodate cooking for a large group, especially with the extra large 5-6 burner gas grill on the patio.The location was not only very convenient but we felt safe walking in the neighborhood at all times. The location was within easy walking distance to many restaurants, bars and Old Town, and just a 5 minute walk to the trolley/metro stop with a fast ride to downtown, the marina and the USS Midway. Many other sites were only short drives away, including Balboa Park, the zoo, Coronado Beach and La Jolla Cove. Even Temecula with all of its great wineries was only an hour away.Our host, Ali was easy to work with and very responsive. We did have an issue with the pool heater malfunctioning, but Ali and James took care of it promptly.Overall, a great vacation and I would highly recommend staying here.

It was perfect for a family of 12 to attend Marine Corps Boot Camp Family day and Graduation. Wish we had more time at the rental to enjoy the amenities. The 4 bedrooms plus the large bunk bedroom with the 4 bathrooms made the stay very comfortable. The stairs gave us our exercise and required assistance on the part of family members to the elderly couple with us. Nothing that couldn't be managed.

Overall this house was exactly what my family needed. There is an AC unit per room which really helps when you have a multi generation family where we had folks who ran very hot and ones who run very cold. It also had enough rooms and bathrooms and space for us to spread out. You can tell the owner had chosen quality furnishings and decor. The only issues we had were the stairs which for my father who is 88 was a bit challenging so be sure to keep that in mind and the noise although the rooms on the 1st and 2nd levels had less of that issue. Between the train, the planes and the racers it was similar to living in a city but again the house is well insulated and the curtains helped. There was more than enough plates and utensils for a house that size as well as towels for the whole family. We really enjoyed the house and our stay in San Diego!

Great for big groups!

Perfect spot and size house for a big group! Loved the location, pool and view from the deck. Traffic is loud from the roofdeck, but can't really be heard indoors. A few small things that would have made our stay a bit more "homey" would have been some type of storage/dresser (especially in the bunk room where there was no closet) and towel hooks in the bathroom/bedrooms. With a large group we didn't have anywhere to hang bathroom towels to dry. Great house and stay!

4th of July staycation

We stayed local and rented this house to have the whole family together and to be able to see the fireworks. The view of the fireworks was absolutely spectacular. The viewing deck could have held 30 people so it felt like a real treat to have it to ourselves. The house itself was reminiscent of an exquisite Italian villa with plenty of room to spread out.What makes the house have that great view (being very tall) also meant that it has dozens of stairs- something I hadn’t considered for our elderly guests. To enter the property is a fairly steep climb and then the house has many levels with more stairs. I had a nice built in workout as I brought in groceries and belongings.There were some things that didn’t work well like the garbage disposal (not at all), couldn’t ever figure out the living room TV, and one of the room air conditioners barely worked while another the set up would have required more effort than we were willing to give. While the owner was incredibly responsive, it did make us think that we would likely go back to a hotels in the future. Nothing about this specific house but in general we commented how the rental houses always have things that don’t work and you have no front desk to call down to.We had a great stay and appreciated the opportunity to rent this gorgeous house with the unbeatable view for the week.

Upstairs shower issue

the upstairs shower was so hot that we could not turn it on very much or it would be too hot to shower. So we only got a drizzle from that shower. Overall experience was nice, the pool was good, Kids had fun in it. Would have been nice to have more viewing channels on the TV and the main room remote enter key was worn out. Thanks for the opportunity to stay there.

This house has everything

We had guests of all ages and this was the perfect house to accommodate everyone’s needs. There are plenty of spacious bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms so everyone has their private space. The pool and hot tub offered hours of fun and a great gathering place. The kitchen is very well stocked so easy to feed a big family. Views are great. It 5 minutes from the airport. It can be loud with the highway and airport so close but no one complained in our group….bring sound machines. There is no way to enter the house without climbing stairs so be prepared. Ali was responsive to any questions. Definitely recommend this property! And check out Old Town just a couple blocks down the road….hidden treasure!

Fantastic Stay for a Special Occasion!We stayed at this beautiful San Diego property to celebrate our son’s graduation from USD, and it exceeded all expectations! The location was perfect—so close to the university and the airport, which made getting around and picking up family a breeze.The house itself was stunning and incredibly spacious, both inside and out. Multiple decks gave us plenty of space to spread out and relax. Our favorite was the large deck between the two master suites—morning coffee out there became a ritual. The rooftop deck was massive with incredible views of downtown and beyond. There were also two more decks, one off the dining area and one in front of the house.The pool and hot tub were a hit with everyone! Everything we needed was provided—from floaties to pool towels and even heating lamps (though the weather was perfect, so we didn’t need them). The kitchen was fully stocked, and every bedroom had access to its own bathroom—either private or shared between two rooms.The garage and additional street parking were super convenient, and the location felt safe and peaceful with a secure gated entrance. We loved being able to walk to Old Town and a cute coffee shop just down the street each morning.Check-in and checkout were seamless, with clear instructions provided. I highly recommend this home to families or groups looking for a comfortable, luxurious place to stay in the heart of San Diego. It truly felt like a private oasis.

Family Trip

The property was great for the amount of people we had. Everyone had their own space and enough space to relax. It was great for the 3 kids under 4 that we traveled with, there was space for their toys, the high chair and pack and play, and crib that was provided was very helpful. Ali was accommodating with the various requests we asked for, early check in, bringing a dog and then choosing not to bring the dog. There was only one issue with communication regarding heating the pool, but it got figured out in the end. We knew there would be a lot of stairs, but if you are staying here, there is A LOT of stairs, so be prepared! The space that they had is maximized. Some of the parts of the house were a bit old (some flooring that was squeaky, knobs that didn't stay on cupboards, etc.) but the house was exactly what we needed for our trip. The main tv was very slow, and we had a lot of issues with the internet staying connected, but the location, amount of space, and the pool made up for it.
