RENTERS BEWARE. Our group of 15 were so excited about this vacation with the family, but it was beyond disappointing.This home was not clean. Within minutes of arriving, our toddlers' feet were black from the filthy floors. There was a significant amount of mold in the bathrooms, as well as the kitchen. There were ants throughout the house, so much so that they got in our luggage and were swarming in our car on the 6-hour trip home. This home is extremely unsafe for children. Most of the windows did not have locks, and many of the screens were broken or nonexistent. There were also several windows where the glass panel did not fit the frame, where a finger could easily fit and get sliced. There was no child-safe lock on the balcony door upstairs, when the third floor is clearly designed for children. While the safety and cleanliness are the primary concerns, there are normal conveniences expected of a VRBO that we're not provided or insufficient. A bathroom and kitchen were missing soap, and there was no spare roll of paper towels. There were no tissues anywhere in either house, nor spare blankets for the coach or roll-out beds. Also not a huge deal, but there was no complimentary coffee, whereas every other vacation home I've been to has offered this. When questioned about some of these things, the host said they only provide a "starter set" of supplies. VRBO has been very difficult to work with in finding a resolution, and we are escalating to the AG's office.
