Disappointed Mom

It was supposed be a special occasion to celebrate son’s birthday & Mother’s Day in a beautiful location. Location of property was awesome but overall stay was a disappointment & somewhat misleading.1. When inquired if property was being occupied by owner or others, property mgmt assured property was all ours however it’s not. There’s technically 2 units & maybe owner is occupying downstairs 2. Kitchen & bathroom cabinets are so old that it’s actually chipped away. Frig was old & parts were broken/missing. Overall furnishings was dated, old & feels dirty.3. Cleanliness is mediocre which I spent most my time cleaning instead of enjoying a vacation

Mission Bay Holiday

Having dedicated parking in this area was worth it alone! But the home itself felt even larger than the images. A family of 10 with kids, teens and adults all had enough space to spread out. My sister is already looking to book again for next year!

Great stay where you’re steps away from the ocean and the bay

The property is decorated nicely and was spacious with four bedrooms. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable. The home was clean throughout with the exception of the floors.They looked clean but could have used a good mopping in order to keep our feet from turning blackish on the bottom. That issue is the fault of the cleaning crew. Adequate parking in the front and back. The street is very busy but the home is in a great location for food and entertainment. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again.

Great Place to Stay

Really great location near the beach and the bay. Only negative related to our situation is that there were a couple flights of stairs in the rental, which made things difficult with our 1 year old, so maybe not the best for toddlers. Otherwise, great place to stay!

Soccer tournament

We stayed here for a soccer tournament - we came from Boston with moms and girls (14 year olds) we had the best time- house was perfect - clean- spacious and a great location to the beach, the Bay Area, places to eat, coffee shops and shopping!

Great location but a bit scruffy

Functionally the unit worked well, but it shows its overuse and lack of upkeep. The dishwasher was unsanitory - covered in grime and mold. Probably won't recommend this place.

Family Weekend

The location was absolute perfection for walks on the beach or the bay, with more than enough options for dining out. The floor plan was spacious enough to sleep our party of 5, and entertain a couple of guest that came to visit. The property could use some updating, but was comfortable for all.

Perfect Family Getaway Beach House

Property had it all… Location, room for a large group, plenty of bedrooms, beautiful large gathering area for eating together and socializing. Terrific area in Mission Beach and particularly close to both bay and Ocean. The house was beautiful and very well cleaned and appointed with necessities. We love the patios especially the one out front upstairs as we enjoyed the people watching down Santa Clara! We had very few problems with the property and the only thing worth mentioning is our sink was slow in draining in master bathroom (right sink). It would’ve been great if there were a ceiling fan in the master bedroom but we later realized there was a standup fan in the closet that we had access to. The washer and dryer did have some problems. When clothes are put in the washer it sits in the rinse water for a very long time and at the end of the cycle it did not spin an appropriate amount of time for the water to drain out of the clothes. Clothes were still very wet at the end of the cycle. We did enjoy and appreciate the extra beach toys especially the boogie board and chair available. This home is very close to walking up to the beach by lifeguard station 19. Olive café nearby was a great treat as well as The Mission and we loved Guava Bar and Grill across the street from our house on Mission Boulevard. All of our meals there were fantastic. The Oceana restaurant up the street is particularly wonderful. We were able to make a reservation and enjoy a large family meal on the patio overlooking the bay. It was gorgeous! Thank you to the homeowners for such a beautiful home and for accepting our large varied aged group to rent... and also to surf style management for the communication for the rental. We greatly appreciate it and hope that maybe in the future we can come again!

Great location but cries for repair and updating.

The property is in a great location but is need of repair and maintenance. The dishwasher and refrigerator appear to be on their last legs and barely function. There is a rather sorry assortment of kitchen tools, etc. Management staff were very responsive to the couple of issues that came up during our stay.

beach house review

The best part of this house is the location. Right down the street from the bay and the ocean and super close to places to eat, get coffee, etc. You could not ask for a better place. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The only downsides were the a/c did not work on the 3rd floor and the repair man did not come until we were packing up to go, the BBQ was filthy and the washer was broken (we were promised a new one was coming each day but it never arrived). For the amount of money we paid, those things should have been there. We would definitely stay again if those things were taken care of. Overall, a very positive experience!

OK, but needs deep. Lean and refresh

The property was fine and as advertised, but it needed a good cleaning. Upon our arrival we took off our shoes (which we always do in someone else’s home), and the floors were so dirty that within minutes the bottoms of our feet were black. I don’t think the floors had been mopped in months. The property is in a great location and has everything needed for a fun vacation, but really needed a good cleaning. Also the washer and dryer didn’t work and no alternative was offered.

Great location to be near water

This was a great location to be near water. Good walks to the beach or cove, lots of little alleyways to explore, food, coffee shops nearby. Pacific Beach was a short drive away. An extra chair in the living area would have been helpful so everyone isn't crowded on to the sofa. Upstairs bedroom and 2nd bath are much, much cozier than show in the photos. Kitchen is very poorly stocked for doing your own cooking. The parking spaces for this apartment were a real plus and made loading and unloading so easy. We did enjoy our stay and recommend this rental.

This house was just what we were looking for.

It was my husband's 50th birthday this year and with COVID it wasn't easy figuring out what we could do. We decided the best and safest thing was to spend time with our family, who is in our pod, to celebrate. It's hard to pick a house from pics on a website but we scored with this one. There were 9 of us and it was perfect. The location was great, management was easy to work with, the fees weren't ridiculous and we had a fantastic time. We would definitely rent this house and with the managers again.

Close to everything

This house was very comfortable for our family of 8. Plenty of bedrooms and beds. The master bathroom was spacious, but the other bathroom for the rest of the house is small. Many hours of people watching and relaxing was provided by the front deck. The top deck would benefit from an umbrella. The beach closet had chairs, sand toys and a boogie board. It was a short walk to the beach, bay and restaurants. We had trouble parking the first day because the downstairs tenant had parked across 2 spaces and the trash cans were out for collection. Santa Clara Place is a very busy street, but most people are driving slowly. Mission Bay is one of our favorite destinations.

Great place to stay

The only reason why I didn’t give this property 5 stars was because of the noisy neighbors. Besides that it’s in a great location just steps away from the beach and the bay and very close to places to eat.

Perfect Family Vacation House

My family returns to San Diego every summer. This is the best house yet! We have 6 adults and 4 children and it was perfect. There is plenty of communal space for gathering and plenty of space for everyone to retreat. The deck is lovely and the location is great! We were near the bay, ocean and plenty of restaurants. I would highly recommend and hope to return!

Great location for walking to beach or bay

This property has a rather small balcony that looks out to a busy street, although people and car watching can be interesting at times, it’s not an ideal view, and the street is very busy in July. The upstairs outside patio doesn’t have a view, and actually would benefit from potted plants or something to take away from the view of electric lines, etc. For as many guests it can accommodate, it was sparsely stocked in the kitchen. The upstairs loft of 3 beds is very small area, really only suitable for children- and the air conditioner in that area was broken the entire time we were there, which was uncomfortable for July. Overall I love the area, the location is perfect for walking to bay or beach,
