Amazing beach view! We got in at around 9:30p on a Friday night ran into a small issue (not the fault of the property owner/manager). They responded to my questions within 5 minutes. Communicate with them if necessary, and they will be very responsive & helpful! Our stay included 3 adults and our 6 children. We were ultimately looking for a beach home while on a trip to Sea World. You have beach access just outside the door. We walked all over, even at night, and it felt very safe. Book an extra day because you won’t want to leave. If you need extra parking, you can park anywhere on Mission Blvd (all free). Just be mindful of the street sweeper schedules, which are clearly posted everywhere. People are pretty patient giving you time to park. So don’t get anxious. Just parallel park if need be, take a breath, and enjoy the amazing atmosphere. There is almost always parking at Belmont Amusement Park (also right on the beach). Great food and, unlike many places you will walk, the law in CA is geared toward making it safer for pedestrians.

We had a great stay. The condo was in a great location, roomy and very clean. Plenty of towels and chairs for the beach. Kitchen had the basics and dishes and glassware were beautiful. Plenty of room for family to spread out and also enough room to gather together.

Quick trip to SD for New Years with Family! Great location close walking distance to most everything! Only negative is the kitchen was ill equipped for cooking. Only one pan and a baking pan - but we made work. Left behind a new pan but may need a couple pots to go with the lids - in the future. Left basic salt and pepper for the next renters as well.

great view and location but....

Well, overall the stay with great! The views are amazing just as depicted. We didnt like how compartmentalized the place is...its the opposite of an open floor plan. THe kitchen was weird and was added later to make this into another VRBO so its funky. The biggest issue we had is the place sleeps up to 10 people and there is literally only seating in the living room for 4 people! We had to bring chairs from the dining table that only sits 6...so it was hard because there was 8 of us. Also, the place needs a major refresh. THe kitchen was nice but the bathrooms are older and out of date. It just needs some love but overall good.

Property was great we had a good time . Property is run down could use some updates . Plus tv remotes are very confusing. Pics online made me think I had a bottom floor leading out to patio . I thought it was 3 floors 2 outside spaces . I would not have rented this unit if I knew it did not .

Disappointing end to San Diego trip....

This property is super outdated and obviously not cared for by the owner. The parking challenge is understated on the listing. Due to the steep angle, it is extremely challenging to park any SUV in the allotted spot. Our vehicle is 5'10". The listing states that a car under 6 feet is safe. We ended up hitting the top of our vehicle. Ultimately, we had to back into the garage and at an angle. There is ZERO street parking, so this was our only option. We arrived at the property late with three young kids after a long day enjoying the city. When we entered the property, all fans and air conditioner units were off. It was hot, muggy, and had a horrible smell that continued our entire stay. Very unwelcoming. The shower temperature valves were extremely difficult to use as they are old and not maintained. I felt very uncomfortable allowing my children to walk without shoes throughout the house as the floors seemed unclean. We needed to do some laundry for the next day and were shocked at how old and poorly maintained the washer/dryer are. After placing our wet clothes in the dryer, we fell into bed. After an hour of much needed sleep, we were awoken to the fire alarms going off. Apparently the vent off of the dryer was never connected and the dryer was venting throughout the upstairs level and set off the fire alarms. Horrible first night. The next morning when we were preparing breakfast, we discovered that the dishwasher was fully loaded with what we can only hope were clean dishes. We had to unload someone else's dishes before we could prepare breakfast. Even simple appliances like the toaster were junk. The levers that lower your toast, were missing. The freezer was rusted with bad smelling ice. In the PDF provided, under Check-Out Procedures, the guide instructs guests to "wash, rinse, dry dirty dishes, etc and put away in proper locations". I've never had a VRBO request that we do more than start a dishwasher before leaving. This is not someone's home. This is a long forgotten property with zero welcoming touches. We understand that for practical purposes, beach properties are more casual; however, this home was uncomfortable and disappointing - especially considering the price point.

Not Worth The Money

Liked: How easy it was to book & check-in. Air Conditioning. The view! How comfortable the beds were. Washer/dryer in unit. On-site parking. Didn't like: The dirty, sticky floors; so much so that we wore our flip flops in the house. The dirty kitchen: Most pieces in the kitchen had to be washed before we used them. There was wet, moldy food in the only pot large enough to make pasta for six people. The kitchen is very poorly equipped. One large pot, no salad bowl, no serving bowls, ONE teaspoon, cheap "gift with purchase" glassware that, of course, didn't match anything. Only salt & pepper for seasoning. These furnishings are for a house that has beds for 8! The furniture is old, worn, dirty and and the decor is uninspired for a beach house. It looked like they took stuff from their house that they didn't want to furnish the condo. The noise from outside, and the adjoining units all night long, is unacceptable. We would not rent here again and would have been better off at a hotel without kitchen facilities. It was too stressful for a family get-away for just 3 nights.

Mission Bay 4th of July

This was a fantastic Mission Bay vacation property. It really was located in an area where you could have the very best of everything. The bay has a beautiful, relaxed family friendly vibe and the fireworks display from the 2nd story was AMAZING. No worries on overcrowded areas or traffic. It couldn't have been more perfect. Meanwhile we were a tiny walk away from the beach (zero hassle), and within short walking distance from Belmont as well. The interior lived up to the pictures. Lovely, lovely home! We couldn't have picked a nicer vacation rental! Super happy!

A Beautiful place to stay!

The property is EXACTLY how they advertise it. It is really nice, spacious and clean - the garage is awesome (Mission bay/beach is packed during the summer months so a parking spot is absolutely necessary!) Three full bathrooms is FANTASTIC. A couple communications with management were a bit trying -but they subsequently provided what they texted me they would provide. I DO recommend this luxury beach spot - you will really enjoy it.

Fun Trip!

This unit was just as advertised! Clean, and we appreciated having lots of beds and lots of bathrooms. The kitchen also was clean and new, and had what we needed. And the view on the bay side was great, and seemed quieter than the beach side. We didn't spend a lot of time inside, so it didn't matter too much, but there wasn't much in the way of comfy "lounging" furniture. And the other reviews are spot on about the parking--it was nice having a dedicated spot, but the smaller the vehicle the better! Only thing that would be nice would be a better spot to wash off wetsuits, but that wasn't mentioned in the description so we weren't expecting much. Overall the place worked well!

Great family friendly location on the bay

We had a fabulous time at this place. It was in the perfect location for our young kids to play on the quiet beach. Just a short walk (5 min) to the ocean side to play in the waves. The beds were comfortable, the place was well equipped. Lots of beach gear (chairs, boogie boards, towels, sand toys). Parking was a bit of a pain since our minivan didn't fit in the garage. Parking is very difficult in the area. The only other issue we had was that we never really had hot water. I called the rental company who was very responsive but their answer was that the other units share the same water heater. It was disappointing to not have a hot shower at the end of the day, water was luke warm at best. I hope they can remedy this for the future.

Kinda disappointed in the unit

Lots of things broken ( trash can, tp holder, toilets, sink) but property company was pretty quick to fix them all. Unit definitely needs to be cleaned up and upgraded if they’re charging what they’re charging. View was beautiful and it was a fun neighborhood. It was fine but I would not stay there again

Excellent location

Loved the location. Parking was difficult. We rented a van and were unable to drive in,top of ordinary van got stuck and scratched. Bathrooms were very small . Was listed as a 3 bathroom,but one bathroom was unusable no lights in bathroom worked,no hot water in shower, and handle in shower was falling off. When we told them about it,they replied glad you enjoyed your stay. Never offered a discount. Still I would go back because location and view were spectacular.

Able to ride out the storm

After a weekend and week in the 80’s, the San Diego weather turned to 60’s and rain. This spacious condo allowed us to be right on the beach with shelter for the unusual weather. Great kitchen and spacious bedrooms on the beach even in the rain..

Nice place but unfortunately double booked

The property was nice & large so it comfortably slept the whole family. It was clean with a beautiful view. There is a volleyball court on the bay out front. We had a great time there. It’s not ideal for toddlers or little ones who can’t do stairs on their own. There are a lot of stairs inside the unit. Also another party showed up on our second day there with reservations for our unit at the same time. It was very clear after we reviewed each other’s reservations that the unit had been double booked for the same dates. We felt incredibly bad for the other party who had flown in 6 hours & taken a lift from the airport only to find the unit they also reserved was already occupied. We did the best we could to help them out. It was so incredibly terrible, the situation they were put in.

Beach Paradise

Beautiful view of the harbor area and steps away from the beach. It's a fun place to stay and can accommodate lots of people. The AC units worked great and were quite necessary during our stay. I would highly recommend!

Great Place on Mission Bay Beach

Plenty of room in this updated 3 bedroom beach rental, nice and clean with a great kitchen, roomy bedrooms and baths. Enjoyed the grill on the deck twice. The Bay was fun for paddle boarding but that's it, water is not very enticing but it was a super quick walk to Mission Beach (ocean side- about 3-5 minutes!). The beach and ocean on that side were perfect! One note...in the description we were told there would be beach towels provided and there were only 3 left for us...we were a family of 7, so that was kind of a bummer. And the 'beach toys' needed a bit updating...we bought an additional umbrella and cooler (on wheels) to leave for the property and ended up renting two boogie boards because two of the property's boards were not functional. Had a great time and would recommend staying here!

Terrific week on Mission Bay

Spent a week on Mission Bay with extended family. It was a great week in a fabulous location is a lovely condo. The property managers could not have been more responsive to questions, needs, and comfort. Well done!
