The host greeted us when we got there. She is lovely. There are so many shops and restaurants walking distance and the place is nice and clean. We had a great stay, I would definitely stay again!

Such a great little house with a cozy little private yard. Great if you’re traveling with pets. We enjoyed our short 2 day stay so much. Right in Old town San Diego. 5 minute walk to so many restaurants and shops. Joan was fantastic to deal with.

Very nice place to stay in! The onsite manager, Joan, is very sweet and a peach to talk to! Check in and check out was a super easy process. Blankets, towels, sheets, pillows, and cooking utensils were provided as advertised. You'll likely have to bring most of your own cooking ingredients but I prefer not using after strangers anyhow!

Both hosts were above and beyond gracious and hopeful, and pleasant to deal with. It’s in a perfect location, the yard is beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely come back the next time. I’m in the area.

Perfect for us with our two dogs. They had a fenced yard and easy walking distance to old town. Had great off street parking. The host was very helpful and price was a fair one. bottom line if you need a place to make it your base while in town you’d be very hard pressed to find something better or as good

Perfect location for enjoying the city of San Diego. We walked every night in old San Diego. Ten minutes from the beach, ten minutes from the zoo. Here is the big question, would i stay here again? Oh heck yea!!!

Fantastic location

We had a great stay! Joan and Dove were so accommodating and lovely when we wanted to add an extra night to our trip. Joan greeted us upon check-in and was very welcoming. The home had everything we needed. It was so nice for our family to be able to spread out - for less than the cost of a hotel room! The location is absolutely fantastic! It was a two minute walk to the trolley to take us to and from downtown San Diego. We loved being able to walk to shops and restaurants. The off street parking was so helpful, and we were able to drive to other attractions quickly and easily (Balboa park and the zoo - 10 mins, La Jolla - 15ish mins, Cabrillo / Point Loma - 15ish mins). To be truly transparent, we stayed over a weekend so there was a bit of noise at night but, honestly, that is because of the excellent location. We absolutely would not have changed a thing about the trip and would stay here again if traveling to San Diego because of the location and the space. As a plus - we really appreciated access to laundry and a full kitchen! (Ralph’s supermarket and Target are about a 5 min drive away - also very convenient!) Many thanks to Joan!

Great cottage in the heart of Old Town

Cottage was comfortable clean and had everything that you would need. Check-in process was easy and the description was great. If you enjoy Old Town San Diego this is a great location. You can walk to everything. My family and I were there for 2 nights and didn't have a car. I would highly recommend this rental.

Mini-Summer vacation in Old Town

We communicated easily with Joan, the property manager, before arriving at the vacation rental. The instructions to check-in and out, where to park, and how best to enjoy our stay were clear. The house sits right in the middle of Old Town and lets guests experience the sights, smells, and sounds of local businesses. We had a welcoming whiff of burgers and fries from the restaurant next door. Whether you need a caffeine fix, to satisfy a craving for Mexican food, or want to take a leisurely stroll into Old Town State Park, this vacation house provides a base camp for such activities.Something to keep in mind when staying in the 2-bedroom rental in the front, or the smaller unit toward the back. Both rentals share a driveway that can be a little snug if your car is larger. We have a mid-size SUV and renters in the other unit had the same vehicle. We had to maneuver the car a few times to ensure we could easily reverse out of the driveway. We spoke briefly with the other renters and asked if they had enough room. They appreciated the consideration and thanked us. A little courtesy goes a long way. This is not a deal breaker, just awareness to best enjoy the unit.The sofa and ottoman were comfortable. The kitchen made for easy meal prep and the filtered water next to the sink was a nice touch. The bed and bathroom shower were refreshing after a day of sightseeing. Joan and Dove, the owner, really made this vacation rental feel like home. A perfect place for a mini-vacation.

Location, location, location! Great stay in the heart of Old Town San Diego. Don't miss walking around the corner and having amazing tacos at Flor's Farm to Table. Start the day with a coffee from Flor and Seed Coffee Roasters. Grab tasty beverages from Old Town Tequila. All walkable while leaving your car in the driveway (yes off off-street parking). The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen for meals at home and a fenced yard for the dogs and humans to enjoy. Joan was there to greet us and get us situated. This is a definite return to property on future trips to San Diego.

We always enjoy staying in Joan’s homes. Location, location, location! Walk to everything in Old Town and close to so much in San Diego. Homes are well stocked and we love that we can bring our fur baby Dexter with us. Very comfortable beds! Both homes have outdoor seating areas to enjoy. Joan is a delight and goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. Looking forward to our next stay! Robert, Sherry and Dexter
