Great location, literally 1 minute walk to beach. Perfect place if you won’t be spending much time in the room - ie, all day on the beach! - and all you need is place to sleep, a bathroom, and a refrigerator.

Excellent location! The unit was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The AC worked well and unit was stocked with all basic kitchen needs. Nice having beach chairs available. Would’ve liked to have parking included if other guests weren’t going to use them-there were several open during our stay but a space wasn’t included in our rental so we had to find street parking. Communication was quite delayed as it normally took 12 hours to receive a response on an inquiry. Overall was a good stay and would rent here again(but with a unit that included parking).

Pros:Location - Great area of Mission Beach, literally steps from the sand as well as walking distance to many, many restaurants.Keurig!! And any other appliance you'll probably use on vacation. Full stove and refrigerator. Bring your own K-pods.AC worked well! Make sure you read your email messages, you cannot set the AC below 68Clean - Everything was clean including linensKeyless & Contactless Entry - Super convenientCons:Bed - Was NOT HORRENDOUS, but I'm used to sleeping on a mattress without any springs, so it was a bit firm for us. Left 1 night early so we could sleep in our own bed. Also, they are hypoallergenic pillows (the same kind I have at home), but they are flat as a pancake as soon as you lay your head on them I think they've been washed too much, needs replaced.THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT HAVE PRIVATE PARKING. You will need to park on Mission St, which is not far at all. We usually didn't have to look longer than 1-5 minutes for street parking, but on Wed night there was a function at the bay, and it took my husband over an hour to find (far away) parking! Luckily, he dropped me off at the apt! We woke up to an 85 parking ticket the next day because of the construction there was a huge dumpster parked on the street that blocked the sign saying "No parking from 8am-10am".There is a closet with 12 plastic hangers, but no dresser to unpack other items.Unit is 1 building from the beach, and that 1 building blocks ALL the sea breeze, so you need AC.

This was a perfect place to stay for my son and I. It was walking distance to Belmont Park and Pacific Beach with all of the fun restaurants and activities. Mission Beach was so close to our front door we could walk bear foot to the beach daily. We were excited to find boogie boards and beach chairs for us to use! The bed was super comfortable and we listened to the ocean at night with the windows open. I highly recommend.

Close to the Beach-easy access

This place was across the alley from the boardwalk in PB. The access was great and we spent the majority of our time there.The downside is there is no parking so we were out on Mission Blvd. There is no deck or outside seating but they provided beach chairs which we really appreciated.

What a great place!

So close to the ocean…listened to the waves as we fell asleep. Very quiet but also close to the action. We appreciated the early delivery of access instructions and the place was clean upon arrival. Exactly what we needed for a 5 day stay!

Everything went well. It was excellent location.

Hundreds of eating places nearby. You get to choose if you want to walk the bay, walk the beach or walk the street to go to the same place. That is serious luxury. Most places don't show the exterior of property - this was very clear - excellent. Group that renovated the place are serious professionals - I wish I could find such talent in NJ. Place can use a chest of drawers for longer term guests - as an alternative, there are lots of empty drawers in the kitchen. Kitchen has EVERYTHING that you could possibly need if you decide to cook. VERY quiet at night!!

Perfect choice

A beautiful modern comfy interior with a can’t be beat location a stones throw from the Atlantic I didn’t realize parking wasn’t included but we found a spot nearby since it was off season.

Five night get away

Property as stated which is always a relief. Lovely space to stay. Everything was clean and well maintained. Loved the filter water container in fridge. Appreciated the broom to sweep up all the sand. Short walk mission beach, less than a minute. Had beach chairs to take to beach. Guava bar down the block excellent place to eat.

Poor Experience with Surf Style

The experience with SurfStyle started off great as they were very responsive and clear on our itinerary but the service was like that of a slumlord. Moments before we arrived on Saturday, this company disconnected the fuse to the A/C because it was making a loud noise inside the condo and not cooling. They should have contacted me before I arrived because it was a hot weekend and they could have made other arrangements for us. Upon arrival, we unpacked and went out for the evening. When we arrived back, I noticed the TV wasn't working When I called and texted the SurfStyle phone number, they texted the phone number for Maintenance and directed me to contact a technician. When I texted Mtnc, he replied that the fuse to the A/C also controls the fridge and the TV and that they will have it fixed on Monday. He texted instructions how to turn the fuse back on so we had could use the fridge. We had to listen to the obnoxious sound from the broken A/C each night to keep the fridge working. The condo was hot from 10am-10pm. On Monday SurfStyle emailed that the A/C will be repaired on Tuesday, the day I checked out. This company knew about the broken A/C before we arrived. They didn't tell us ahead of time or make any other arrangements for us. No apology nor any empathy. They only communicated thru email and text. At the end of our stay they said they refunded 10% back to our card which is a joke, and they didn't even do that.

Great Studio Apartment

All new furniture and fixtures made this a comfortable stay. Studio has recently been remodeled and tastefully furnished. Only problem was lack of parking spaces. But we managed to find a lot a few blocks away.

Perfect getaway

Love the property. Perfect size for two people, and it’s SO close to the beach!! We were able to get coffee at a local coffee shop and drink it in the mornings while walking on the beach :) only challenge was finding parking! But to be expected in such a busy area My one complaint is that the code that we were given to enter the property was incorrect so getting in was a challenge. Luckily they do have an after hours contact line and they got back to me within 2 minutes of leaving a voicemail. I’d suggest a more streamline way of keeping codes updated so no one else is locked out at 12:30am!

Flash Flood Warnings

Canceled due to flash flood advisory. Weather app stated life threatening conditions possible. Thought that was good enough to be reimbursed for the stay. Got a policy update weather does not qualify for refund. While I get that, life threatening is a little bit more than weather issues. So was not thrilled about that. They did refund the cleaning deposit and that was a fair amount. But I just think this was above and beyond rain storms. I don’t know what ended up happening because we canceled. Not sure what weather happened. They seem nice and responsive. But I think they should have refunded our money. Full amount due to the nature of the threats of life threatening weather. Maybe VRBO isn’t for me. Had to rate the place to submit a review. I gave all 5 stars. Just want others to know, no refunds means no refunds.

Great studio near beach, better than downtown hotels

Clean studio apartment next to beach. Stay here instead of downtown and just take an Uber or Lyft. Restaurants are a short walk North. Safe, quiet.
