This San Diego rental was perfect! We were not looking for anything fancy, we wanted a cozy home to stay in for our wedding weekend. The location of this home blew us away, you’re literally a block away from the board walk and beach! There are so many great restaurants and stores within a short walking distance, we enjoyed exploring the area and our dog loved it. The neighbors were also very friendly, everyone down the road was as well. Only thing was the parking…it was tough coming back to full street parking, had to walk 2 blocks friday night when we got in because the host sent a message the day of, saying the garage has a FEE! I was driving all day from AZ so I didn’t have time to check my messages on VRBO, I thought all i needed was the codes, I messaged the host asking to pay the garage fee but I didn’t get a response so I left it. I guess you have text them in order to get a reply. Other than that it was an incredible stay, I would stay again and text to pay for the garage this time! :)

The home was great, sufficiently stocked with everything we needed or wanted!! We did find the living room lacked sufficient seating for our family of 4. The only sofa sat only two as it had a big spring sticking up from the inside. Other than that we loved our stay!!

Kitchen is set up for routine food preparation and nothing more. Coffee pot provided was only a K cup pot.The host Sophia was very responsive.The condo was/ is sparsely decorated. There are no dressers in the bedrooms and the pull out couch in the living room is terrible to sit on. The bathrooms are not outfitted with safety handrails in the tub/ showers. The stairs only have right hand rails.Very pet friendly unit with a small fenced yard.

Plenty of bath and beach towels. Washer and dryer was a plus! Location was close to everything. Only complaint would be the noisey neighbors partying after curfew hours but sometimes that is inevitable. I would definitely stay here again

Great week!

Great location. Close to the beach, shops and restaurants. We had a minor problem with the screen door jamming on us but the property manager was on top of the problem. Communication was easy with quick responses. Few minor upgrades are needed but was still a great place to stay. We will definitely look at the property for future stays.

Very comfortable and good location

Spacious unit (3 bedrooms 2 1/2 bathrooms), clean-Carpet is old but OK. Kitchen and dining area very nice and remodeled. Sofa in living room is small (should be bigger for the size of the unit)Very small back yard for a dog, but nice front courtyard- It has a garage for two small cars, but you have to pay and extra fee and we did not take it because it was small for our two cars- Parking available on the streets but it was a little bit of an issue- Overall we enjoy our stay.!!

Perfect for a group of friends, not great for families

This property was right on the beach in the center of PB bars etc - it was great to walk to things but it was a party location with loud late night neighbors - not great for our family with kids. Also it was very dark inside as it’s on the ground floor. Carpet was gross but maybe to be expected from a pet friendly listing. Would not recommend for a family stay but it’s perfect for a group of friends looking to enjoy PB.

No so Exceptional

I have stayed at many VRBO properties for work and personal. The 9.6 Exceptional rating that I booked with the expectations of was not accurate. First the listing shows 2 Queens and a King, but there was no King, it was 3 Queens instead. Next, checking in, I was not given the check in instructions or key pad number and had to call although I was 3 hours past the check in time. Next, although they were clean the bathrooms and countertops were not in great shape and in some areas it looked like they just put caulking over mold to cover it up. This is definitely a college student complex. I was woken up at 7am because the girls at the condo nextdoor were outside talking loudly about their night before. I got out of bed because I thought it was my friends talking downstairs but my friends were still in bed. Next, I asked for compensation for the incorrect beds and have not heard anything back from the financial manager.

Nice Place Close to Beach, Restaurants and Shops

Had a great stay at this two story condo just a 5 minute walk to the beach. We had three adult couples, one bedroom per couple for a weekend and we were very comfortable with the space. The kitchen, dining and living areas were spacious as well, although it would be nice to have an additional seating around the TV (there was only one couch when we were there). It was a wonderful short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We had a little difficulty with the garage; as indicated, it is tandem, so two cars have to fit one behind the other. There was just enough room for one CRV and one Subaru Impreza. And it was very narrow. But it was nice to not have to fight for parking! The only real downside was the neighbors- it does seem to be a younger crowd, and there were some late night gatherings. No music issues, just loud conversations in the courtyard and the stairs outside one of the bedrooms. It wasn’t terrible, though. Definitely a comfortable, clean place to stay with great beach access.

Can't beat the location

I struggled a little bit with this five-star rating, as I don't want to imply that the stay was flawless. PROS: * As the description itself says: "location, location, location." The beach is a very short walk, as is a multitude of places to eat, like Oscar's (best fish tacos in S.D.) and the Baked Bear. * Plenty of amenities, including beach gear, fans in every room, responsive A/C and washer/dryer. * The beds (mostly, see below) were comfy. * Generally very clean. * Sofia, the property contact, was responsive. CONS: * The property says it "sleeps 8," which I guess is technically true, but there were seven of us and it felt a bit crowded. * The pullout sofa double-bed, which purportedly sleeps two, has seen better days and was pretty uncomfortable for the one person who had to sleep in it. * While street parking was usually available, the off-street garage parking came with a $50/day fee, which seemed excessive. * When we arrived at the property, the cleansing smell was overpowering - we had to open up all the windows and leave for a while. * Almost all the balcony doors were in some state of disrepair. * There was no dishwasher or laundry detergent on site - we had to walk a few blocks to Ralph's to pick some up. * I couldn't access the dumpster behind the property, which led to a bit of a scramble at checkout. OVERALL: the pros far outweighed these (mostly minor) cons. I think most people would enjoy the property and would therefore recommend it - just be prepared.

Close proximity to beach

Chose this property for its proximity to beach. Listing seemed decent enough for what our family needs. Loved that so many beach toys were available to borrow (bikes, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards.) I will say that the listing is a little inflated in regards to kitchen description and the fact that pets are allowed (carpet everywhere upstairs is gross.) Black mold very present in main bathroom (no vent, just a small window.) Property Manager was great to deal with throughout our 2 week stay. Walls are very thin, however. We had several after hours noise issues with two separate units. One of which was literally banging on our windows several times between 1am- 2am (they were drunk) and thinking it was their place. Definitely not happy they woke up our kids and ruined our sleep. They ended up breaking their door open. We should’ve phoned the police instead of talking to them. We received no compensation other than “We are very sorry.” Would we stay here again? Probably not. Would be recommend it to another family? Sure. Just not on a holiday weekend where other renters will be partying and drunk.

Nice quiet area very close to beach,far enough away from all the busy.Literally took us just a couple minutes to walk to beach.House was great, all cookware&eat ware you could ever need.Paper towels,toilet paper,shampoo, conditioner,body wash,hand soap,bath towels,wash clothes,hand towels&3 beach towels.Lotion bottles were provided next to each hand soap,but they were filled with soap instead,someone may have not realized.beds were soft,thought they be too soft, but we all slept wonderful,no body pain,all queen size. Pillows were wonderful,I believe there were 4 pillows per bed.1 night stand on each side of each bed,all with lamps.Wall remotes in all rooms with fan&light options,plenty of lighting&cieling fans in house,2box fans in2of the bedroom closets,perfect because we use fans at home to block out noise.Beds all had2sheets&a nice quilt.3 extra big,soft&warm blankets in the hall upstairs cupboard&very much appreciated.2 extra pillows in cupboard also.Sliding deck doors need some maintence as far as oiled to slide better&screens falling out of track&a bit hard to lock, but otherwise still completly fine.Couch has pull out bed but we didnt use it.All rooms have a tv with disney plus&others u can watch.Washer&dryer was a life saver.Has central heating&air conditioning, which was 100% a huge benefit&so grateful we had, because that it hard to find in San Diego.lots of seating,huge dining table,stools at counter also.Everything was great, will stay again.Thank you hosts
