When we finally got to the house, it was terribly hot. We get ready for bed and found a queen bed in the master bedroom. When we searched the listings our main criteria was a king bed. The next morning our son isplaying and sees bugs all over the floor. Little black bugs everywhere. We informed the host which did nothing about them. There was a hornets nest outside the lanni which we also informed the host about. We ended up going to the store to buy bug spray and bee spray. We ended up having to spray the black bugs everyday.

Not exactly like the commercials

The property was nice, the pool was very nice, but there were things lacking on the inside. We found the beds,living room furniture and pool furniture very uncomfortable. We bought cushions for the pool area, new pillows for the beds.There were things missing from the kitchen, most notably, no can opener! We had to buy several things for the kitchen as well as cleaning supplies, extra glasses, additional towels, etc. The kitchen could have been better equipped. Also there is not enough places to sit in the living room. If you have more than 3 people you're out of luck! Also we found the 100 charge to use the gas grill (which we did not use anyway) was a bit excessive. The neighborhood was very quiet, we rarely heard the neighbors. Watching the geckos run around the pool screening was very entertaining!

St james peaceful place

Firstly let me say the property was better than advertised as it was extremely clean upon arrival. The location is perfect for those looking for peace and quiet and that love to relax. Pool was perfect. 100% will stay again.

Code didn’t work to get it in. Owner talked to us for about 10 minutes thru ting doorbell and it wouldn’t work.finally used the keys inside garage lock box. I asked for a refund because Florida was declared a state of emergency. He told me it was an act of God. I only asked for one night refund. The beds were not at all comfortable. Very stiff.

Wonderful peaceful stay

We enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood, pool was amazing and close to restaurants. Great getaway for relaxing 😎 house was clean and updated. Beds a little to firm for our liking. Otherwise a great stay!

Great stay on pine island

The property was fine for our trip, but the pillows were VERY large and hard in all of the rooms, and it made it challenging to sleep. The pool was nice, clean and the pool cage was a definite plus. It had the basic amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. It was just my husband and I in the 3 bedroom home which was nice because there is not enough seating area in the living room to accommodate if 6 people stayed there comfortably. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and conveniently located on Pine Island.

It was just OK

The house was nice , and clean , but did not like that the owners locked the AC , it was set at 73* . In the middle of summer in Florida , I would have liked to adjust the AC to my comfort . Skimpy in the kitchen , as far as utensils and appliances.

Tropical oasis in sleepy Pine Island

Pine Island is a favorite place of ours to escape from the hustle and bustle and this home was the perfect tropical oasis. The home itself is lovely but the pool and lanai are the star of the show. The neighborhood is a great place to walk and bike and convenient to everything on the island. It's also very quiet and relaxing. The house has everything you need for an extended stay with a great washer/dryer, AC for sticky nights and smart tvs. One of the great perks was that this rental is dog friendly so we were able to bring our older epileptic dog who loved snoozing in the sun poolside and swimming in the ocean down the street. The hosts were kind and responsive with any questions that we had as well! One thing to note is the gnats are brutal, but bug spray does the trick. It's so lovely to see the island coming back after Ian and finding hidden gems like this one.

Pine Island stay

Had a great time and loved the house. The pool was sparkling clean, as was the house. We needed to stay an additional day, and that was done with no issues. Overall, we’re very happy with the experience.

We loved it

Extremely clean property close enough to the places we wanted to visit, but far enough away from all the people and crowds. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay again.
