We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Carolina Castaways! Our entire family (2 parents, 3 teens, 1 tween) loved it, which is a ringing endorsement! We received very helpful information from Greg, which was great given that our flights made us a day late and close to a holiday, but we had no problem getting situated. The bungalow is spacious, spotless, and in beautiful condition. It is equipped with everything you could hope for to relax, prepare food, snorkel, do laundry, and generally enjoy a true vacation. The fans and screened windows kept us the perfect temperature for sleeping. The location was ideal for snorkeling right from the "backyard" as well as exploring multiple other beaches. Due to another airline delay, we stayed an additional day in Curaçao at a different (fancy!) location and can confirm that Marazul was better. It was a great fit for our family because we could blend activities, exploring, and total rest. Will definitely recommend to others and consider returning! Thank you, Greg & Susan!

The house was totally outdated and dirty. We did arrive a half hour to early. However the code to enter the parking lot was wrong and no manager or owner was to be found. The bed was hard, the sofa weared out. But what concerned us most, we did stay 6 nights and the pool was not cleaned once, which should have been the management order.

Our stay at Carolina Castaway's was absolutely amazing. The location on the island was perfect for us, with an incredible diving reef out front and many beautiful beaches with snorkel and dive spots all within close proximity. My children loved the pool, especially lit up at night. They also loved the iguanas, birds and cats that have made Marazul their home. Sunsets were incredible from the family dinner table on the upper porch, and when we felt like going out, the restaurants nearby were all fantastic. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, Susan and Greg!

Great Bungalow in Marazul Dive Resort

Great communication with owners before we even arrived. They were actually on island when we arrived and stopped by to check in with us and make sure everything was ok. Very helpful info packet emailed ahead of time about what to expect, things to consider bringing, restaurants, shopping, etc. The bungalow was in great shape--everything you need in the kitchen for cooking. Loved that all the outlets were US plugs. Appreciated the cold pitchers of water in the refrigerator. The bungalow was very comfortable and well furnished. Great that you could open louvers in all doors/windows to get a good breeze going through the place during the day to keep it cool with ceiling fans and floor fans (only used AC in the bedrooms at night). Right next to the complex swimming pool which was convenient. Great roof-covered 2nd floor balcony that we dined on each night and had a great view of the sunset. We dove all week and the resort was minutes from Go West Diving. Would absolutely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Well equipped rental in a great location

Our family of 5 (teens and adults) stayed at the cottage for five days. We were happily surprised with the additional amenities like spices, books, pool toys, citronella candles and a cooler. This is a well maintained home, ideally located by the pool at Marazul resort. The owners were great communicators and provided many details on nearby restaurants, beaches, snorkel locations and more that helped us really enjoy our trip. There are 2 sets of stairs down to the sea that led us to some of the best snorkeling in Curacao. Highly recommend this location.

Just, WOW!

We had an excellent stay at Carolina Castaway! The instructions provided were detailed, accurate, and incredibly helpful, making our trip seamless and enjoyable.We spent two weeks on the island, one ant a resort on Mambo Beach annd the second week ant this location. The week at Carolina Castaway was by far the highlight of our trip. The location is perfect—just minutes away from some of the best beaches in Curaçao. The property itself is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, making it a great home base for both adventure and relaxation.Traveling with a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old can be challenging, but this property made it easy. The space was family-friendly and comfortable (and incredibly quiet!), and we appreciated how easy it was to unwind after a day of exploring.If you’re planning a trip to Curaçao, we highly recommend Carolina Castaway. It exceeded our expectations and created memories we’ll cherish forever. Greg and Susan have clearly loved this property and so did we. If we are ever so fortunate to find ourselves back in Curaçao, we would definitely keep this property in mind!

Loved our paradise getaway to Curaçao!

This was a wonderful play to stay- it had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. Nearby restaurants had great food and drinks and there is so much to explore. If you like a quiet stay in a beautiful place by the ocean with lots of great snorkeling/diving opportunities then this is the place for you. Bungalow#3 was perfect for us and we felt like home away from home. We would come again in a heartbeat! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us!

perfect spot

we loved the location in Westpunt and had a really great stay - there are very good restaurant options close by and the beaches/snorkeling are great. I didn't fully understand that there would not be air conditioning in the kitchen/living areas and it was hot while we were there but it wasn't a deal breaker. If a quiet vacation spot is what you're looking for, this is the spot for you!

Good place for friends dive trip

Really enjoyed the house. Large table on the upstairs balcony was excellent for enjoying the sunsets after a day of diving. Greg communicated very well and everything was as expected! Next time we'll be sure to do a dive off the house reef.

Wonderful place to stay

Nice views of ocean and pool --- close to a number of nice beaches. Hosts provided lots of information to make the stay even better. You can snorkel right next to the property. All in all we had a great time here.

Das war eine herrliche Woche. Das Haus hat eine super Lage und ist toll eingerichtet. 10 m zum Pool, 30 m zum Meer. Hervorragende Aussicht mit Sonnenuntergang.

Anniversary Trip

We absolutely loved this property and would highly recommend it. This was our first time to Curaçao, but not to the Caribbean, and fell in love. The west end was perfect for what we were looking for…slow, quite and full of beautiful beaches. Thanks for this little slice of heaven that your shared with us.

Cliffside Paradise

Greg & Susan were quick to reply and helpful. They sent an email with detailed attachments prior to our stay that provided us with information on dining, activities, transportation, and other necessities. There were a few very minor glitches: the code to the gate for the community didn’t work, directions for the keyless entry could’ve been more explicit, a few pans were dirty. Otherwise, it was paradise!!!! The location was idyllic, woke to birdsong and waves with a short walk to steps down to snorkeling. Sunsets over the water and coconut trees dancing in the trade winds. I’d recommend 100% to book here with Greg & Susan!! Thank you

Paradise at Marazul

Everthing you need is provided to make your stay effortless! From a kitchen fully equiped to beautiful sunsets at night. For sucba divers you have just next door to Marazul a dive shop. Sublime Diving, and Ellis is great and will take care of all your needs and concerns. Also 3 restaurants in walking distance. This is the second time we are staying at Greg and Susan place. Highly recommend it. If we go back to Curacao we would not hesitate to stay again Debbie Daniel Alex Elie

Curacao Paradise

Our time at Marazul Dive Resort and Greg and Susan's home was beyond our hopes. The home was clean and stocked with everything we could need for our one month visit. The home was a great base for visiting the beautiful beaches and trips to Westount. We slept great while listening to the tradewinds blowing outside. Greg and Susan were so good at communicating and we never waited long for a response. Upon booking the home we were sent a complete info guide onanything we needed at Marazul and the island. If you are considering renting this home, consider no longer and just book it. You will be so glad you did.

Great Place to Stay

The property was just as expected with the kitchen fully stocked with more than enough dishes, pots, pans, utensils and the cupboards were clearly marked with their contents saving us the hassle of guessing where everything was. The bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces were comfortable and nicely decorated. The pool was just steps away and the two balconies had table and chairs. The owners provided a wealth of information regarding the island with recommendations on restaurants, things to do and places to grocery shop. Communications were excellent and we would stay here again. Overall, an enjoyable carefree stay in nice accommodations

Lovely location with sunsets that can’t be beat

Lovely condo with easy access to pool and steps directly down to snorkel/dive onsite. Laid back location with a dive shop a few minutes away and several restaurants to try. Only recommendation would be some couch repairs/replacement, each have damaged legs/unstable, but were good enough for us as we were only inside a short time.
