"As long as you are expecting an older house it is well furnished and comfortable. It fit our needs perfectly and the host was accommodating. The kitchen was not highly stocked and we provided our own coffee filters and bath soap, but furnishings are very nice."

"This was a great place to meet family and enjoy the amazing Sangre de Cristo views and Westcliffe. The property was ideal for a getaway with my elderly parents and our dog. The 1-level home with an entryway ramp and master walk in shower with room for a seat were elder-friendly. The paved neighborhood streets with epic mountain views made for many enjoyable dog walks. "Blue Elk is an excellent stay. Vrbo and especially Tracy, the host, were helpful in making reservations and preparation. The site has all the appliances and supplies of home in good working order. The location is breathtaking. We loved the wildlife (although watch out on the road!) and (mostly) quiet, cool weather in late July, but warm blankets too. A great time had by all."
