"Our stay at Hillcrest Mansion Inn was beyond a normal stay at a bed and breakfast. The place was had great views from the wrap around porch and the rooms really were comfortable that provided a historical feel and appreciation of the finer things from times past. The best part of the stay was how welcoming and friendly the host and staff were in addition to the hand crafted dishes prepared by the chef Martha. The 3 course meals will be remembered for a long time because they were so delicious...

"What a magical stay! Location was absolutely perfect - far enough away from downtown Staunton that you can appreciate the beauty of the surrounding nature, but also be close enough to the many shops and restaurants. "We pulled in at 5pm and were promptly greeted by Bill (Judie's husband). He checked us in and gave us a brief tour of the building and the farm. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and the bathroom with the slipper claw foot tub was very nice. It was modern but maintained much of the character we appreciate. Breakfast was excellent, and included an impromptu lesson from Bill on (re)construction of the premises. Unfortunately Judie was under the weather, so we didn't get a chance to meet...
