Conveniently near the beach. Megan, the host, was helpful and communicated regarding anything needed. We felt completely at home.

Fun weekend at Rockaway

The house is super cute and very close to the beach. Kitchen is stocked with all items you would need; my family of 4 had a great time. Pros: close to the beach, easy to find, house nicely stocked, etc. My kids loved watching the train each day. It was a great location for walking to town for shopping and restaurants. Very cute and fun decor throughout the house! Cons: one of the smoke detectors was detached from the ceiling and sitting on top of the fridge, so anytime we cooked on the stove it would go off. The red wagon outside is broken, so we could not use it for the beach (no big deal to us), but for others it might be. The fridge had a bunch of expired/used condiments such as mustard, pickles, etc. in it. There was also used ice cream in the freezer.

So quaint and comfortable

Megan was a great host and her place is adorable (if you’re like me you’ll gather some design tips to bring back to your own home). The beds were cozy, and the small floor mattress was super convenient for traveling with a toddler. We enjoyed the outdoor soaking tub almost every night. The beach was a stone’s throw, shops and restaurants within a few blocks, and the train viewing from the front door was the highlight for my toddler. A very fun few days for our family, age 2 to 82!

Great location

Great location. Few minutes walk to the cute train to Garibaldi. Around the corner from headland trail to the beach. Half mile or less from the boardwalk trail to the big Cedar. Cute home. Clean. Interesting art. Beautiful Plants.

Great little beach house

Excellent location, just a minute walk from the beach. Really appreciated the personal touch to the decor and all the wonderful houseplants. It felt lived in and loved. Would highly recommend, and would consider staying again in the future.

Comfortable and Relaxing

We enjoyed a 4 night stay in Rockaway Beach. Megan is a gracious hostess and excellent communicator. We found the master bed incredibly comfortable. Slept great! Kitchen amenities were outstanding. Easy walk to the beach, great sunsets. Various restaurants were satisfying and day trips made the stay relaxing as we had a place to call “home” when we returned.

Great stay at Rockaway.

Thanks for the great rental place. It was cozy and well kept. The owner stayed in communication throughout our stay. Rockaway Beach is a little run down but this property was great. We would stay again. The beds were comfortable. The place was well stocked. We enjoyed our time at this little place by the ocean.

Bright garden gem

Loved this house by the ocean. Literally just steps away from the beach. The bright garden interior was welcoming and well stocked—the owner has an amazing green thumb. the unique art and family photos provided a cozy atmosphere and interesting conversation. The owner was so friendly and responsive to anything we needed. We’ll stay here again.

Has everything you need for a beach getaway.

We used Megan's beach house for a home base while traveling up and down the coast. It was a good midpoint and was able to travel easily between Astoria and Otter rock. The home was plenty of room for my family of 3(one child). Kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed and more. Washer and dryer was so helpful when hiking and at the beach daily. Beach toys and games helped keep my little one entertained. Cool art and a lot of natural light. Plant lovers book here and you will not be disappointed. It's a plant wonderland and the initial reason I booked. Would 100% recommend and book here again. Thank you Megan for having us!

Great price, great location

We loved our stay here in Rockaway. They are upfront about it being right on the train tracks. But the train is just the touristy train and it only runs during the day. Plus my kids loved to watch it go by. We loved how close it was to the beach, and it’s close enough to the shops and restaurants that we walked to most places. The decor is fun, boho, and eclectic. And I loved learning about the artist Lenox. Overall had a great stay and would rent again. :)

Fantastic location & great house

Everything was as pictured and described. House was clean and quite comfortable. We enjoyed some of the games at the house. We loved the short walk to the beautiful beach. It was so hard to leave and we'll definitely be back. Hosts are great to work with and very nice.
