My family joined me for a week while I was on the island for some scuba training. This property worked out great for us. There were 6 of us, so the home was large enough where we each had plenty of space to relax. My wife and I stayed in the apartment out back, which was nice for even more space and comfort. We had most of our meals at the house, and the kitchen and indoor/outdoor eating areas were perfect. We did some swimming, tanning, and grilling out by the pool, and played some of the board games inside on the off chance it rained.
The property manager, Laura, was wonderful. She is very prompt with any needs or questions you might have. The landscaper that might stop by is also very nice, he gave my mother-in-law some fresh coconuts and limes from the trees on property.
This is my third time to the island, and I knew my family wanted to head to a variety of places, so we rented a large SUV. The property is up on a hill with some partial water views of the north shore, so the driveway is on the steeper side. For this property, but really for Roatan in general, I would not recommend renting a tiny, low to the ground car. Roads on the island can have some pretty big pot holes here and there. We went to the Island Dive Center, Daniel Johnson' Monkey and Sloth Hang Out, Eldon's Supermarket, Roatan Brewing Company, South Shore Ziplines, The Rum Factory, Flowers Bay, West Bay, West End, etc, so the rental SUV was perfect for us. If you are traveling around the island less, you can certainly cab it or Laura can set you up with some transportation. All the places I mentioned are probably $30USD or less with the longest ride being about 30 mins,
Hopefully, some of this info was helpful. Overall, my family and I had a great time, and I would definitely recommend staying here f you come to Roatan! Have fun!
