It was well placed for exploring the Arenal area but be aware that the road from Nuevo Arenal is extremely pot holded and the 8 km takes 35 minutes to drive."

"This location is a bird watching, listening, paradise. The cabins are surrounded by lush vegetation and trees. The owner Cede is very friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed here Friday Nov. 8, 2024 and were the only guest due to the rainy season. Would love to return when it is NOT raining. The rooms were clean and spacious. A great place to stay and easy to get to with good roads. We toured the chocolate farm...

"Beautiful home and property. We were cared for very well by Rod and Tanya. I’ve been to Costa Rica several times and I have never seen so many Toucans! The only drawback was the last couple miles of road leading to the property was pretty rough. Thanks for everything!"

"We travelled as a family of 5 ( 4 adults 1 child) and had the best of times in Casa Blanca. The enclosed community was peaceful and gardens manicured. We could see the volcano from the house and do a lot of fishing, hiking and sightseeing. The Hosts were very friendly and helpful and the house had everything we needed and more. "Our family of 5, adult children, stayed for 6 nights. The pictures do not do the property justice. Absolutely stunning views of lake, mountain and volcano. One of the best supplied VRBOs I have ever stayed at. The pool was clean with a nice view. The hosts were incredibly attentive and provided lots of recommendations for food and entertainment. Only down side was the rocky curvy road to get to property. Would highly recommend! "

The house is well equipped The location is good but depends on what and where someone is planning activities . It is located 1.5 hours from LaFortuna so include the driving time into your planning."
