"A really lovely and relaxing place to spend a few days whilst visiting the game reserves. Very attentive staff, a large and comfy bedroom A lookout deck, pool, hammock and outdoor seating area are all lovely, and would be fabulous in warmer weather. Three course dinner (set menu) was delicious and all home-prepared on site. The dining room is also very nice, and we were seated right by the fire - very welcome in August. The shower did go cold on us twice, but I think in winter it's harder...

"Needs major improvement... extremely cold rooms without heat and building needs also to be upscaled urgently. But the major issue was at dinner when a lady (probably the owner) approached us explaining that because there was not going to be electricity the next day I had to prepay all expenses + any future expenses, which I gladly did... but there was no electricity shortage the next day, even when I asked an employee they didn’t know what was so talking about. It seems to me and please correct...

"Staff and guides were all excellent and thoroughly enjoyed the drives. Lodge and food also excellent and we met some fantastic people, however we very very disappointed with our accommodation. We had expected an individual lodge in a private and peaceful setting however we were situated in a lodge attached to another lodge just above the main lodge and kitchen block. So we could constantly hear noise of the kitchen preparations,plates and bins being emptied and staff singing and talking rather...

"Ilse hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir hatten einen sehr netten Austausch. Sie ist unglaublich fürsorglich und immer mit Antworten und Infos zur Stelle Als Ausgangspunkt für den Addo NP ist es perfekt. 7 Autominuten zum South Gate. Das Zimmer wirkt eher dunkel und die Unterkunft ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Leider hatten wir das kleine Appartement Richtung Strasse und konnten aufgrund des LKW Verkehrs sehr schlecht schlafen."

"This was our first safari which was absolutely amazing. We got to see 4 of the big 5. We had one of the bush lodges. The lodges themselves are beautiful and huge. Our only disappointment was that we were given one of the lodges without a view onto the plain and waterhole. I did request a lodge with a view but they cannot guarantee it. "Whlle the staff did help and went oout of their way to help us celebrate a special occasion, we were disappointed that it could have been a more of an "African" experience - especially with the dining. We were anticipating that there would have been a lot more of the South African taste in the menus. Unfortunately, the schedule at the camp was so tight, there was not enough down time to actually enjoy the camp itself. It was also disappointing to be presented with a blll with unknown/ hidden...
