"Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel is located right on the beach, the ocean is just a step away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The restaurant is open for limited time frames but room service is available throughout the day. Loved the view from our room, to get the sea view you have to book premium sea view. "This is a very nice beach front hotel. Popular place since 70s. Close to the city center with bus/train stations, banks/ATMs. Turtle beach also very close, we can feed the friendly sea turtles and take photos. Kids friendly beach area. This hotel has swimming pools. One for the kids also. Good breakfast and dinner buffet with international food items, some local items also daily. Good A/C, Hot water, comfy beds. "Friendly and helpful staff. There's nothing much to do in Hikkadua unless you go out on excursions. The hotel should organise activities for adults and children during the day. We had a pleasant stay as the pool and the beach made up for lack of activities."

"It's an old hotel. 50 yrs. So it's tired and needs a refurbish. Rooms are OK, but bathroom leaks water from the shower leaving puddles of water in the bathroom. Could smell urine in room 205 when using the shower so probably linked to the drainage system. Pool needs redone as several broken tiles and there were 3 people I saw who cut themselves including a member of staff and my daughter. "El hotel se encuentra a pie de playa de reciente construcción y buenas calidades. No está cerca de ningún núcleo urbano pero con un tuc tuc lo tienes todo a mano. Me llamo positivamente la atención que son eco friendly no usan plásticos salvo en lo necesario, por ejemplo en las papeleras, usan papel reciclado, no usan plástico en los accesorios de baño o las botellas de agua son de cristal. En general me gusto bastante y aunque todavía tienen pequeñas cosas que mejorar, repetiría sin duda. "
