A little slice of Heaven

It was perfect. Home was exceptionally clean, very spacious and well-equipped. Host was extremely helpful and welcoming. The ocean views from this home were jaw-dropping. The sunsets were second to none. Everything far exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to returning soon.

Magnificent

The location, position, views, the house inside and out, all magnificent. The welcome from all involved gave the feeling of staying at a friend’s house rather than a rental.The sun shone throughout our stay with amazing sunrises and sets but the setting would lend itself to all weather fine or foul.

Stay in heaven

After many years of holidays in Ireland, we found our dream holiday home. Debbie, the sister of the houseowner was very friendly and give us a warm welcome. The house has the best view, you can ever get. Stunning Atlantic views. The house was very clean and modern. A lot of cooking items. The beds are very comfort. We like to come back soon. Truly lovely place.

The best of everything

The home is lovely, clean, spacious and well equipped (in the kitchen especially!!) we had plenty of toilet paper, kitchen pans, dishes, laundry and dishwasher detergent, spices…. The view is unbelievable over the ocean! The owners are SUPER nice and SO helpful!!!! I can’t say emphatically enough how wonderful our experience was here. I WOULD COME BACK!!!!!!

We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

This house is in a perfect location for anyone visiting Ireland. When we entered the house and stepped into the kitchen, the views were breathtaking. From any window, there is a wonderful view, especially the sunrises and sunsets.The house is very private and quiet. The store in Tully is just minutes away and has everything you need, including gas. The pubs in Tully Cross are warm and friendly. The owners love the chat.From the house, there are many beaches and scenic day trips. Our favorite was driving the back roads into and out of Louisburg.Debbie and Julie are very nice people, always helpful. We had a great time. Thank you.

Irish Paradise

This house had everything you could want, plus a view to die for. We were lucky enough to have sunshine for most of our visit so could sit out and enjoy the 270 degree view of the ocean and farm fields below. The house had all the emenities you could want, and Debbie was a joy to chat with. We certainly did not want to leave when our week was up!

This Beautiful Vacation Home Will Spoil You!

We must thank Debbie & Julie for being so hospitable and for letting us spend our vacation @ the Beautiful Makleelan House! The house is in the perfect spot for some of the prettiest views in Ireland! The view is to die for, the house is very clean, we did not want to leave! But hopefully we will be able to return and if so, it absolutely will be here again! Debbie, as our host, goes so much further than ever expected, providing anything and everything we were needing or just would like to have! And Thanks to James and Debbie for the connections and for making the most lovely dinner, all come together! It was fabulous and greatly appreciated! I have made a new friend! Thank you all again for a vacation that is impossible to beat!

Endroit parfait pour découvrir le Connemara en famille

Cette maison perchée sur une colline avec une vue sur 180 degrés sur la mer et sur les îles est parfaite pour découvrir le Connemara. Pour un sejour de plusieurs jours, on peut rayonner sur les tous les points intéressants. Spacieux, très confortable, très bien équipée, elle a d'immenses baies vitrées pour voir l'Irlande sans bouger du fauteuil, ou de sa cuisine, entre deux excursions. Propriétaire vraiment chaleureux et serviable.

Ireland at its best with stunning views!!

We have been visiting Ireland yearly for some time now, & always enjoyed renting homes for our stays. Although this was the first time we called Makeelan House "home", it will definitely not be the last. From the moment we confirmed our booking, Debbie was answering our questions & making us feel comfortable with our selection. We couldn't have picked a more perfect property or host. When we arrived, we were blown away by the house & the views. Pictures do not hold a candle to the real thing. Debbie let us settle in, then came to welcome us & show us around. She is such a kind person & we instantly felt like old friends. There is so much to say, but it is best summed up as follows: If you are looking for a location that offers the Ireland you see in pictures, then this is where you need to stay. It is the perfect place to base your journeys. After a long day of sightseeing at Kylemore Abbey, hiking around Inishbofin Island, or driving around the countryside, the quiet of the night here, will restore you. It is one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed. It is also only a short drive to local pubs & markets, & only 30-minute to Clifden & more shops. The house was roomy & cozy. The kitchen had every pot, pan & more. Windows everywhere offered stunning views that overlooked the bay, North Atlantic, islands, farms, & Renvyle Castle. The patio was the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and spectacular sunsets. We can't wait to go back & will be bringing the family!

Ein Traumhaus in Top Lage

Wir haben einen traumhaft schönen Urlaub im Makeelan House verbracht. Die Lage ist nicht zu toppen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, alles ist sauber, alles passt. Exceeded our expectations

Having previously rented many holiday homes in different locations in Ireland , I can say that Makeelan House is an outstanding property . The home itself was immaculate . The views were mesmerizing . Endless possibilities for walks and exploring the area .The home was equipped with every possible convenience and beautifully maintained and furnished . Luxury and beautiful skies

This is a lovely place for a holiday. Couldn't get enough of the views! Bed is very comfortable and kitchen just excellent with 2 ovens and luxury fridge! Plenty to do in the area or just lazy on the sofa... beaches and hills, no traffic noise, just great stuff!

Heaven on earth

Upon arrival tears filled my eyes! The property was more than I expected and just what I needed to Refill my coffers. Every morning and every days end reminded me to let it all go and enjoy the solitude of stunning environment around me. Debbie was amazing and hope to enjoy more time with her in the future. The house was super comfortable and had everything one would need and more. I would highly recommend this property and…Julie the owner was super responsive and attentive.

You couldn't ask for a better home away from home!

Debbie was the kindest and most lovely people we could have hoped for when checking in! She stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions. She went above and beyond!! The house is absolutely gorgeous and the scenery and view are just what we had hoped for. Nothing soothes the soul like the ocean. Lovely home. Beautiful landscape.
