Double Queen Room - 2QD
Lake Placid
8.0 de 10, Muy buena, (26 opiniones)
"Room was clean, warm, and very accessible to Main Street. My only concerns were that the walls were extremely thin and we would easily hear people’s voices, with a single closet door separating our room from other guests’ rooms. Fixtures/handles seem to be poorly built as well. A coat hook fell as soon as we hung a jacket, water pressure was weak, the shower faucet handle detached, couldn’t figure out how to turn on hot water, and the sliding shower door doesn’t stay closed. "The fact that 1 dog was welcome is the primary reason I chose this location. Another reason was the proximity to an event I was attending. The location is in a very undeveloped area, but the camp is fairly close to a road as the bird flies, high above and visually removed from it. Noise from the road was not any problem, and good roads nearby was a plus. The owner has a house on the road into the camp, well separated from camp. I liked this, they didn't bother me, and nice to have help nearby.The...

"Large space, ideal for groups. This was just for me and my mom, so it was overkill, but it was a comfortable stay anyway. It was nice getting to sleep in separate rooms. The kitchen has every appliance you could ever ask for. My mom was very happy for a glass of wine after a long drive. I appreciated a couple pieces of chocolate. The board games in the living room were a thoughtful touch. The heater situation was a bit odd (one big heater in the dining room, cold everywhere else?), and we...

"This home is a history lesson. Built more than 100 years ago, you see hand-hewn beams supporting the second floor, floors made up of varying-width boards, rooms large enough for their intended purpose without empty space. We were both intrigued and overwhelmed by the vast differences in home building then and now. That era saw families and neighbors coming together to fill a need. Everyone pitched in, bringing whatever expertise they had, to get the job done. All of the basics are provided,...
