Weed Garden House
Describing the property as the Garden House implies that the "garden" was a significant attraction. We certainly were hoping for the beautiful and peaceful property that was promised. Instead, we were hugely disappointed to find an unkept lawn that was full of weeds that had not been maintained for weeks. The weeds were over a foot tall with very little actual grass in the yard. The hedges were unkept with little to no flowers on the property. The view of the sea was not possible from the porch, so the only way to see the sea would be to walk through the weed patch. In short, the "garden" was poorly maintained and looks nothing like the pictures. Even though we immediately voiced our complaints, nothing was done to clean it up during the 3 days we were there.
We were initially met by a young woman who was kind and helpful. She showed us to the property, which would be difficult to find on your own. The inside of the apartment was basic but functional. The linens were old and worn with towels the texture of sandpaper. There were no paper products in the apartment with not even one extra roll of toilet paper to be found.
For clarity, there is no "Parking on site" as shown in the Popular amenities. Lastly, cats are protected in Ravello with many strays in the alleys. Be prepared to be careful when walking to the apartment to avoid stepping in cat urine and feces.
This was clearly the low point to our beautiful vacation.
