This home is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible, Pacific Ocean on one side and mountain views on the other, with a beautiful infinity pool in between. Every room in the house has breathtaking views, which makes the experience even more special.Camilo, the concierge, was extremely responsive and helped us with anything we needed. Chef Ronald’s food was excellent and he was very accommodating to all of our requests. Nelly, the housekeeper, kept the home spotless and even did our laundry, which was such a treat.We even had monkeys come visit us by the pool! The location was perfect, and you truly couldn’t ask for a more beautiful or relaxing place to stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this home.

Everyone was great - so nice and helpful - but Chef Ronald was absolutely wonderful. So accommodating, kind, and thoughtful. The food was amazing. We loved everything he made. So flavorful and meat always so flavorful and tender. And we had asked for guacamole and chips the first night we arrived and loved it so much we had it for the rest of the week sometimes with the addition of his salsa which again, was so, so delicious. I had asked him if he could provide a cake one night to celebrate my grandson's birthday and he got us a chocolate one from a bakery he liked and although I always prefer homemade to store bought cakes, this one really was delicious. We felt we had made a great friend by the time we left and he would be one of the two reasons we would return. The house is the other because it is so nice. There were so many thoughtful details that went into the building and it has all been maintained. And the views were awe inspiring with a view out over the rainforest and the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. My husband and I had brought our 3 children, spouses, and grandchildren with us and all agreed it was an exceptional experience. You won't be sorry!

The view, the house, the incredible meals by Chef Ronald, the hospitality of property manager Camillo, the Macaw fly-by’s, Tuscans in the trees and daily visit by the squirrel monkeys, and evening cocktails by the pool with incredible sunsets as a backdrop- everything was simply exceptional!

Fantastic vacation! Book this house! The house is beautiful and lived up to the photos and our expectations, but the staff is really what makes this experience stand out. We had a group of 9 adults and 7 children aged 1-15 and everyone had a great experience. Camilo the concierge arranged transfers and tours, he provided a helpful list of tours to choose from and will also provided feedback on any other activities you’re considering. Ronald cooked delicious fresh meals we all enjoyed, and we loved not having to do any dishes. Nelly kept the house clean and even does your laundry a couple times per week. It was amazing! Gorgeous area, lots of wildlife, fun activities, and fantastic people. If you’re considering this property do not hesitate to book!

Better than advertised!

14 family members from 3 different locations came together for a week of adventure, wonderful chef prepared meals, maid service, concierge service. Each and every service provider associated with the house were top quality. The house was beyond what we expected. We would return without a doubt!

Don't Think - Just Book It!!

This was an absolute dream of a vacation! We have stayed in another house around the same area before and didn't think anything could top that trip - Well this house/trip did! From the wildlife we saw every morning, to Chef Ronald's meals being perfection, to Camilo setting up everything we need, it was perfect! We are already wanting to go back! You will not regret renting this house!

1st class Vacation

This House is spectacular. Chef Ronald is amazing as well as the other staff . Our concierge Camilo took care of all our needs and is fantastic to work with. I highly recommend this property. The views are beautiful and the outdoor space with pool is great.We had a group of 16 people and never felt cramped . We’ll be back for sure .

Everything about this property and the hosts is amazing. The house is stunning but the staff that comes with it is even better. The concierge (Camilo) is friendly and efficient. Ronald the cook and is wonderful beyond description. Nelly who cleans is friendly and comprehensive. Everything was superb!

Fabulous Family Fun above the rainforest

Chef Ronald's 5 star dinners and breakfasts were the best! He shared his cooking tips with us and was an asset to the trip. We were able to play games and talk and hang out enjoying the incredible views. We saw scarlet macaws flying in pairs through out the day. We saw monkeys in the trees. We could hear howler monkeys talking to each other. The house is set above the canopy of the lush rainforest and looks out to the pacific ocean. We experienced beautiful sunsets each night. There were so many great spaces for playing games while surrounded by incredible views. The pool was a favorite hangout spot, too. Nelly tended to our rooms each day. Camilo was very helpful to arrange rides to town each day. Be sure to go to Manuel Antonio National Park and go on the Longest Zip Lines in Costa Rica. Nothing can compare to riding the ziplines in the pouring rain in the rainforest! This is a wonderful property for a large group. We had 12 people and it was perfect! We all felt pampered and felt so relaxed in the beauty that surrounded us. Thank you for a Costa Rican experience that we'll never forget!

Amazing Vacation!

This property is beautiful and the views are amazing! There was plenty of room for our group of 18, ranging in age from 5 to 80, with two teens sleeping on air mattresses. The incredible staff made our vacation easy and memorable. Camilo was great to work with at all stages of the planning process, and he also provided assistance with things like taxis and pizza orders throughout our time in Costa Rica. The excursions we scheduled through Camilo were excellent. All the tour companies/guides were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Ronald did an amazing job keeping all 18 of us fed, preparing delicious breakfasts and dinners for us every day. He was also flexible, adjusting to individual eating restrictions and preferences as needed. We really enjoyed having him around throughout our vacation! Finally - Nelly was great about keeping the property clean and neat (and helping with laundry!) for the duration of our trip. No complaints at all. This was the trip of a lifetime for all of us!

50th birthday celebration

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. Arriving at the house after a long travel day to the aroma of dinner prepared by Chef Ronald is something I’ll never forget. The view is incredible, and the master suite - just wow! We saw macaws, a toucan, monkeys, and iguanas from the house. We had a group of 15 friends and family ranging in age from 5 to 65, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Chef Ronald was such a treat, and we were all sad to go home and not wake up to the smell of coffee brewing and breakfast being prepared every morning. Camilo was so helpful planning all of our excursions, and he always promptly responded when we needed something during our stay. Neely was great and kept the house clean and our laundry done. All of the staff were incredible and went above and beyond. It will be hard to beat this vacation, and I would 100% return to this property.

Breathtaking Property

From the moment we arrived, Camilo greeted us with warm hospitality, and we toured this dream villa. Beautifully designed and expansive, a perfect blend of modern comforts and tropical charm. The large windows and open layout allowed for plenty of natural light and stunning views with every room able to experience breathtaking views of the lush jungle and ocean. Chef Ronald attended to our every wish; offering custom meal planning ranging from pastas, grilled fish, ceviche, lobster, steaks, ribs and a risotto that exceeded our connoisseur’s belief! He is very talented and never destroyed the kitchen like many chefs are prone. His blackberry sauce is over the top! The outdoor space and pool with deck and outdoor kitchen/bar was an oasis surrounded by greenery, we spent many days enjoying the views and sounds of nature with morning coffee, day/night cocktails and music. We all became birdwatchers continuously being enthralled by the scarlet macaws and toucans; we even spotted a troop of capuchin (white faced monkeys) frolicking in the trees! Camilo arranged some breathtaking activities like whitewater rafting, an ATV jungle tour and a day of exploring multiple waterfalls. Every single day, Mrs. Nellie ensured all of the rooms and spaces were returned to the pristine conditions of the first day! This property IS everything it appears to be and topped off with Camilo, Ronald and Nellie we were treated to a lifetime of memory making. We highly recommend it!

Costa Rica vacation house

The house and staff were absolutely fantastic! The house was actually much nicer than the pictures of it on VRBO. And Chef Ronald, his assistant Argery, and the housekeeper Nelly went out of their way to make sure our family of 13 people had a great time. The views were spectacular and the animals were a highlight. We had monkeys on the deck, a sloth out on a nearby tree, etc. The meals that Chef Ronald and Argery were outstanding and were very flexible as to timing and special requests. Etc..... We strongly recommend staying at Villa Calaje.

Absolutely amazing!

First I have to say that our stay exceeded all of our expectations. Many have said the pictures do not do the house justice and that is absolutely true! There were 11 of us there to celebrate my 70th birthday and it could not have been a better place to do so. Camilo was the consummate professional from our first interaction 7 months prior to our stay until our last day. He was always available when we needed any kind of assistance, from planning and reserving our excursions to buying and bringing an ace bandage for one of my grandchildren that had a minor injury on an excursion. One of the things that made this an amazing vacation was having our very own talented Chef Ronald. He made amazing meals for us, had a great sense of humor and he felt like part of our family. We all wanted to take him home with us. Nellie our house keeper kept the home spotless and our clothes washed, folded and on our beds. We did get to see some wildlife at the house from our resident sloth, macaws flying by regularly and a couple of visits from the spider monkeys. My family all said they would not hesitate to stay at Villa Celaje again and hope to do so.

Family trip of 16

What a fantastic time we had at the villa. The home is even better than the pictures. Perfect for a large family group. Camilo was so attentive to any and all needs. We ended up being delayed 2 days out of our home city due to weather. Camilo stayed in communication with us even at midnight when our flight finally got canceled. Everything he arranged for us was top-notch ( fishing trip, excursions, shuttle). He handled every detail with accuracy. We joked that he is the mayor of quepos because everyone knows him and treats us like VIPs because we are his guests. We have taken our share of high-end trips and this tops the list. This was our first experience having a personal chef and full time house keeper. This allowed us to relax and just enjoy our family. Chef will make anything you request. Katherine the house keeper is so sweet and will even take care of your laundry throughout your stay. We saw so many animals daily from the house- scarlet macaws, monkeys, iguanas, sloths and toucans. The best view in all the city right there from your house. Loved drinking coffee on the balcony and seeing so many animals. Minutes away from Manuel Antonio National park. World famous - the most beautiful beach. Looks like a setting for Jurassic park or pirates of the Caribbean. Costa Rica is now our special place, we hope to return frequently.

Vacation of a lifetime

This was a vacation my family will never forget and in large part due to this property. The pictures did not do it justice, from the property itself to the incredible views. The wild life we saw from the property was incredible, gecko, iguana, macaw, toucan, capuchin monkeys, titi monkey, coati and so many other birds I could identify. Chef Ronald and Agrerie (?) made it so easy for us and saved us money. No worrying about what we were going to eat, prepare it, or even clean up after we ate. Ronald also did the shopping and suggested our meal plan. The food was incredible. The kids ate more than any of us ever saw them eat. Ronald was also so friendly and helpful. We asked him so many questions about the area and country and even his personal life. He was always more than happy to share. Can't say enough good about him and wish we could take him on all our vacations. Camilo was incredibly helpful before we arrived in planning our vacation and aways quick to respond to help us while we were there. You will not regret booking this property for you vacation

Phenomenal!!!

We had 8 adult couples share the property for a week. We all absolutely LOVED IT!!! Every morning we all shared coffee outside watching and listening to the wildlife. The Toucans, Macaws, and monkeys that visited the property were amazing. The staff were all exceptional!! Camilo was very responsive and helpful as our concierge. Chef Ronald's meals prepared for us were amazing. The massages Camilo lined up for us on Valentines Day were a hi-lite, as well as the bartender we had a couple nights... well worth the price! Everyone we came across was very nice. We enjoyed the waterfall buggy ride, Manuel Antonio National Park, fishing, Mary's Beach, the beautiful marina area, and the local downtown area as well. Security was never an issue. Transportation was only a text to Camilo away. I can not express our gratitude enough. The property and staff was the best I've come across.

Absolutely amazing

All pictures on site did not do justice for how wonderful this place and views were. From start of planning with Camilo to end of trip he did not disappoint. He did a great job helping set up excursions to transport. Then Chef Ronald..oh my word...we all wanted to take him home with us..he did not disappoint all requests were met anything we needed he picked up for us..would highly recommend..not sure how we could top this vacation. All the wildlife we saw we were in awe from two kinds of monkeys..iguanas..sloths..macaws..toucans..butterflies..cute little geckos. We would atay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend. Of course can't forget Katherine the maid..thank you all for a wonderful week in Costa Rica. Pura Vida

Relaxing GetAway

The property is lovely. Camillo was excellent. Ronald was a super chef and very accommodating to all of our quirky needs. I would only suggest that you should make it very clear that cash is pretty much the standard. Don’t think you can use “cards” for many things.

Unbelievable Experience

Words cannot describe this home and the folks that are there to accommodate you. Our vacation planner Camilo handled every detail from recommending excursions, restaurants, shopping to booking them, transportation - anything we asked. Chef Ronald is a true gem and made the most fantastic meals and appetizers - he worked around our schedule morning and night. The property is immaculate and sits up in a mountain where you can watch the sunset every night over the ocean. Wildlife is everywhere and some come to visit. We didn’t want to leave. Don’t hesitate in booking this property, you will not regret it.
