3 nights was enough.

Definitely not a 3 star property. Photos would be better to show off multiple faults. Location : quiet, isolated property. 7-10 minute walk (half on the verge of a very busy road) to large supermarket. 30 minute walk to Quarteira beach front. Taxi to Quarteira €6 or 7 to Vilamoura. Reception: a room in the grounds. No air con and roasting. Only manned part time (7-1 then 3 - 7). A room safe can only be hired for multiples of a week (€15). Have to dial a full international number from your mobile to contact reception from your room. Grounds: lots of maintenance needed. Weeds, cracked tiles, scruffy. Dozens of small mosaic tiles missing in and around pool. Tiles discoloured and dirty. Ornamental fountains dry and growing weeds. Large bush to get past to get into ladies pool toilet- no loo roll/hand towels despite asking. Bar : a complete joke. Lovely room but ONLY sells half pint bottles of beer (€1) and soft drinks (NOTHING else). Water €1.25 for 2 litres - 58 cents for 6 litres in supermarket Living room:advertised LCD telly was a tiny portable bought in the seventies I think. Sofa bed was made up although we weren't going to need it. My partner sat on it and a leg fell off, bringing it to the ground!! Kitchen: 3 pans and a small frying pan. No kettle (coffee maker only. 2 cooking rings and a microwave. No oven or grill. Bedroom: air con here only so rest of apartment roasting. Clean but ripped sheets. Bathroom: hand held shower I would not recommend this property.

Just don’t do it.

Too many malfunctioning items in the room. Overall degraded facilities. Will never want to stay there again.

Marier campagne à la ville

Très bel endroit à la campagne et en même temps près de la ville. Hôtes sympathiques et accueillants. On ne pouvait trouver mieux. À conseiller si vous avez une voiture.

Le quartier est calme mais loin de Lisbonne. Pas de distraction aux alentours et peu de restaurants.

Terrible.

Not as represented. Apartment was dirty and had an overwhelming smell of insecticide. Clearly no attention to detail when cleaning, blood from smashed mosquito on the wall above the bed (with the offending mosquito still on display). Mildew in the shower. Dirt on floor. Appliances old and yellowing, kettle caused power to trip and nobody was around to help. Sofa so old and dirty we were afraid to sit on it. Patio table & chairs all dirty, we had to clean before using. Pool area dirty, loungers old and many broken. After one night when we couldn't sleep due to the overwhelming smell, we decided to leave and find somewhere else to stay. They would not refund us, only offered to move to another property 50km away for an extra €200. Staff on site nice but sparse, management terrible and misrepresenting this property. Avoid. Not worth the very minor savings.

Nice budget hotel/apartment

Booked this apartment as a very last minute 3 night break in the Algarve. We were on a budget, so knew not to expect The Ritz. With this in mind, these apartments met our expectations - clean, safe, and relatively quiet. I think it has 19 rooms, and the pool/garden area is plenty big enough, with options for both the sun worshipper as well as the shade lover (underneath the trees). The cafe-bar area is very spartan and the staff are few and far between, but we had our own food and drink (two supermarkets 5 minute drive away, towards Quarteira) - so not a problem. We stayed in room 5, and this has the added benefit of being on the end (ground floor), so had a larger patio area as well as more windows - which made the bedroom and living area brighter. Air con was not needed for us as we just lowered the shutters and left the bedroom door and window open for fresh air overnight (better than air con!). I think the apartment is advertised as having an LCD TV, but it only had an old 14" CRT one (if that is important to you! We didn't even turn it on). A short drive to the beach (with plenty of free parking) completed our getaway to Quarteira. If you are on a budget and have realistic expectations, then these apartments are well worth considering.

Bella vacanza

Bella struttura e in zona abbastanza buona per raggiungere le varie belle spiagge dell'Algarve, zona tranquilla, piacevole anche avere la piscina per fare un'ultimo bagno la sera rientrando accaldati dalle spiagge. Si nota però poca cura e pulizia che potrebbero rendere più piacevole il soggiorno. Tralasciando il piccolo imprevisto nel mio appartamento dove si è guastato il wc e ho dovuto insistere per riuscire a farmelo riparare dopo 3 giorni.

Good Price / Quality considering it's high season

Can't say I've explored the apartment area and facilities. As for the apartment condition, I can tell there were some renovations, even though decorations are old fashion. Surely in years to come they'll change that. I did see a cockroach in my room, but that's quite normal in Algarve, especially in lower floors, even with windows closed. Mine was on floor 2.

Het appartement dat wij in 1e instantie kregen was niet compleet en had een onaangename geur. Binnen 2 uur kregen wij een ander appartement en deze was compleet en fris. Nadeel je moet al betalen bij aankomst. Verder zeer vriendelijk personeel bij de receptie.

In the middle of know where!

Location is a little far away from everything

This was no doubt a nice facility a couple of decades ago, but it is aging badly. All it needs is a few face lifts such as pressure washing/painting the stucco walls in the balconies and elsewhere. Many of the coffee makers in the rooms are broken; it wouldn't cost much to put in new ones. The TV's are about 30 years old.

Great budget break in friendly edge of town apts

Good value small apartment block on the edge of town (Quarteira). Lovely girl Hosanna runs the place in a very friendly way, and it is more than adequate for a quiet budget out of season break. The town of Quarteira has a lovely beach, and several excellent Portuguese restaurants - of the 3 evening meals we had, would single out O Jocinto for special praise - great service, fantastic fresh fish, and whilst at the top end of the budget for Quarteira, which is overall cheaper-than-neighbouring-resorts, who are catering more for golfing Northern Europeans, it seemed very good value to us. Each evening we would have an aperitif in the small local bar 100 yards away - great G&T for €2.50 - and order a taxi down into town at the cost of about €8 each way. The location is handy for not only the main resorts of the Algarve, but also Faro, which is an undiscovered little gem of a town. Overall a great break, and we would return.

Comfortable and friendly staff.

Staff was friendly and helpful but I visited on slow season and staff was not around. But were easy to get a hold of if I needed anything.

in the the middle of the golden triangle

when we first arrived we thought we were in the middle of nowhere, but in fact, we were in the middle of the best part of the Algarve, the so called golden triangle. We went there to understand the Algarve in terms of buying a home. We were a short taxi drive to downtown Quarteira and Vilamoura. We stayed in the 1 bedroom choice and it was really like an apartment. In fact, it would be a fine place to spend a month there (USD475 a month between October and May).

We had an extremely pleasant welcome, the staff all round were lovely and helpful, it was a very peaceful stay and the apartment was very clean and comfortable to live in. Great location if you are driving.

Very Welcoming and Comfortable

We were visiting family in there area and were very comfortable staying here. Slightly dated but only in a stylistic sense as has all modern conveinences. Suitable and well setup to dine/cook within the apartment, and handy to local amenities. Great local traditional restaurant at the bottom of the road. If you are arriving from the south then you need to follow the road all the way along to the end. Did not go into the pool but it looked great.

Hidden Gem

great little hotel in a quiet location which is exactly what I wanted. One of the days we even had the pool to ourselves which was great. Very quiet at night which is what I wanted. We hired a car so we could travel out to other places which is advisable. Had an issue with the balcony door lock as soon as we checked in which was around 9:30pm but the problem was quickly rectified by the handy man on site. They are lovely people, very helpful and want to make your stay a pleasant one. Would definitely return.

Lovely, quiet and peaceful hotel, great pool

Half an hour's walk from the town and beach, great if you want to not be completely surrounded by tourists. I went with my friend and we found it to be the perfect 4 day escape!
