Everything was beautiful, we booked our reservations for dinner before arriving and it went smoothly. As always the staff is friendly, welcoming, hard working and super helpful. We've been here quite a few times in the past few years since our first stay for our honeymoon. Highly recommend this resort.

The pools where nice the staff were so so the liquor was terrible and watered down the staff always try to get you somewhere into spending slot Of money for literally everything they charge for they told us we had all inclusive up until we arrived there they said it wasn’t all inclusive and had to end up spending money for everything when we made sure to get a all inclusive resort, and they know now you have no other choice After traveling there and taking multiple layover flights to get there and sleeping at random airports to get to that resort and then being told that our stay wasn’t all inclusive and we have no other choice but to end up staying there. Other then that the place was ok but not really much to do there at that resort !

I enjoyed my stay here! Everyone is very friendly making my stay so enjoyable. Diego, Jorge, and Yair were very friendly and helpful at the water sports section. First thing you should know is that this resort is a time share, a detail I only discovered during check-in after booking through Travelocity.com. I advise against engaging in the time share option, even if tempted by a deal. While the lobby was lackluster compared to other resorts I've visited, the junior suite was acceptable, albeit lacking a microwave. Opting for an all-inclusive package is essential. The dining experience was abysmal, requiring reservations for every restaurant except the God-awful buffet. Breakfast was passable but limited. Staff were generally pleasant, except regarding time share matters. Room service operating 24/7 was a positive, but overall quality of food was lacking, including desserts. I unequivocally would not return. Additionally, the resort's location offered little in terms of nearby activities, situated in a somewhat unsafe-looking city area with constant traffic and sirens. Unlike most resorts, there was a lack of entertainment options, and restaurant were not all open at the same time, so you couldn't even try all of them. The necessity to sign receipts for all-inclusive services defied logic. If you have a choice do not choose Villa Del Palmar.

Property is in excellent conditions. Two things to be aware of - this site has 2 different options one is an ALL inclusive package, the other is ROOM only!!! Please make sure to pick the one that fits the best For you and don’t rush choosing the right option for you & family. I went on a birthday trip and I accidentally booked the only that only the room, after trying to communicate with the hotel staff a few times found out the day before arriving to Cancun that the package I chose wasn’t all inclusive- once at the facility they offered me the all inclusive for $900 more…which we refused. Instead we bought tours with food included. Another thing is, if you would like everything walking distance or with public transportation nearby DON’T do the Punta Sam area. Is nice for relaxing if you’re doing the all inclusive and not planning to do any tours, this is an excellent option for you. Also the ferry to Isla Mujeres is right next to the hotel which was a plus. Not bad for being our first time in the area but would’ve done another area with more transportation options and/or walking distance places. Hoping my review helps!

Hotel location and property is very nice. I usually add all the point while taking decision on the stuff. Here are points consider before selecting this. 1- all inclusive is not good, if you are on all inclusive the average delay is 45 min which they asked but it can go up to 2 hours 2- all inclusive you can order 2 dishes per person 3- location is far from downtown and hotel zone 4- very expensive to use there service 50usd per person 5- enforce tip system for everything. Where as i stayed in Riu they don’t even ask 6- i asked for blanket and they never give me. 7- try to sell their new property. 8- property is congested too. Not like others where you can enjoy. 9- even hotel pick up and drop is 50usd Positive point: nice but congested property, food is really good. Negative Points: service, staff is not polite, all-inclusive is trap.

The property itself is massive and I love that it is far from the other cancun hotels. Yes, it is located farther north of Cancun, but the benefit of not having an overcrowded beach is the best. I love having access to the private beach coast. Dining option was also good. We did not opted in for the all inclusive since we didn't think we would eat or drink that much to make it worth it. We ended up paying a la carte for our dinning. We mostly ate at the buffet restaurants since most of the other one had long lines and require restorations. It was nice that the buffet had different menus each night to offer a change of food. Over all the staff was super nice and our room was a nice and roomy. We got upgraded to a 1 bedroom, which offered us two bathrooms and a kitchen. The bedroom had a nice big king size bedroom with a murphy bed in the living room area. It also had a patio with a hammock. Great view of the pool area and beach. What I did not like about the resort is that if you stay at the resorts, you have to get up early to get a seat around the pool. I was not aware that most people would put their items or towels on the pool chairs to "reserved" their chairs.

Overall the property was very good just a few points from being excellent. Staff was friendly and food was good. The beach was ok not that clear and quite a bit of seaweed on the beach but they do try to keep it clean I noticed that. Pretty quite things closed up pretty early and not much to do outside the resort no night life great for families that want to relax and sleep early. I would give it a 4.7 and really the beach conditions took most of the points away. Resort was great.

The water is not clean even they try from the morning to clean up the chores for the grass. Also, it's rocks and water as well.. I don't like that every other drink or food you have to sign papers to the Wheatus. Also, they don't let you smoke anywhere if your cigar smoker even outside the property you have to be certain areas and a beach which I see not very convenience., be careful when you order premium Internet because I don't know the difference between free one and that one but nine days the bill went up $254 was very tricky when you ordered premium Internet because I thought I was only $17 for three devices but this was $17 a day.

This is a beautiful High End property, very well built and maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cannot find any negative about this property other than the food from the room service which was by a long shot the worst food I can recall ever, I've had better meals at 7-11, seriously. Also did not sit very well the fact that when I brought this up at checkout they did not offer to take it off the bill which they should have, didn't want a scene so I paid and left. We only tried one of the restaurants at the hotel, Davino, service was excellent but the food was sub par both meals, not bad but certainly not good. Although I have to say that food was a complete disappointment everywhere during the whole trip. The beach was nice, although not the best in the area. If this resort was closer to the area with more amenities and better beaches it would be hard to beat but I would be very reluctant to return based on the food alone.
