Great place

Lots of space, very clean, and well maintained. Fit the needs of our family perfectly. Great location, an easy drive to many north shore locations. The kids enjoyed the pool, tennis, and walks around the neighborhood when we weren’t out hiking or snorkeling.

Everything about the place was GREAT. The only thing I ask is SHARPEN the knives!! They are super dull and the sharpening stone on the block is worn out. They could not cut an egg if needed!Other than that, the place was pristine. Great location, hot tub and pool right outside your door. Private garage parking. Outside accessories available. Thank you

Wonderful for families!

We had a great stay. Lots of space for our family with four people, 2 adults and 2 kids. Great resources, washer and dryer! Extra sheets and towels and even some beach toys. Close to the pool for afternoon swims. Great location in Princeville. We walked around the area and easy drives to local spots. Quiet and clean!!

Great place - We'd book again!

Nice proximity to the awesome pool (it's right next to it) made this a wonderful spot for us, since we'd spend a lot of time there when not at the beach. Big grills and a kitchen area by the pool for making food came in really handy. Big condo with plenty of room for a family. Having 2.5 bathrooms was great for getting everyone ready in a reasonable amount of time. Clean place with plenty of extra sheets and pillows for everyone.

Great location and pool, hot lower rooms.

We had a lovely 10 days in this unit with our family of four. The pool, literally across the street, was incredible. We used the pool BBQ area 4-5 times to avoid heating up the condo which was smart. The place is spacious with room to spread out. The upper level gets good trade winds even in heat, although two windows are broken, and should be fixed to maximize wind flow. The lower bedroom’s screen door was rickety and broken and couldn’t be locked at night, leading to a stuffy sleep experience. Overall, we enjoyed it, but the lower level really can’t cool down effectively or comfortably for hotter days even with fans. That said, the upper master bedroom was lovely and cool. Kitchen well equipped.

Great location on a beautiful island

Let’s start with the positives: this location is right across from the HOA pool that also has gas grills available for residents. We loved grilling our burgers there and eating poolside. It’s so easy to load everything up, walk out the front door of the VRBO and walk right into the pool. The guest suite in the house is large and the bed is comfy. The other "king" bed in the house is actually a twin day bed with a trundle. It is in the family room...no closet. But there is also a bedroom with a double bed on the same level, and it has a closet. It worked out fine for us--we have two teenage daughters, who slept on the daybed and trundle, and one teenage son who slept on the double bed. The beach towels and chairs were nice to have for frequent visits to the beach (Hanalei Beach was our favorite for suntanning and playing in the waves; Anini Beach is better for snorkeling but the water is not very deep over the coral). The home could use more bath towels. More beach towels would be great but there were only 5 or 6 bath towels in a home designed to sleep 5 or 6 people. We also appreciated having a garage door opener we could take with us in the rental car when we went places. I set a reminder on my phone to leave it in the VRBO when we checked out. The A/C does not work. We are used to tropical climates, so we kept some windows open and used the many fans to keep air circulating throughout the house. It worked for us, but may not work for others.

Great condo in a great area of Kauai

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this condo. The condo was very spacious for our family of 5, very clean, and nicely decorated. I can't even find a complaint. Michael was great to work with and very helpful. Next time we come to Kauai, we are definitely going to try and stay here again.

Great family spot!

This location has a fun layout on different levels. I noticed a pack n play that would work well for younger kids. This location is directly across from the pool and our family enjoyed using the pool area bbq as well as swimming and enjoying the hot tub! There are smart TVs in every room and the laundry is easy to operate. There is a range of coolers, bags, chairs, and snorkeling gear in the garage. The kitchen has a great mix of bowls and cooking needs. We did t lack for anything! Would love to stay again as it fit our family so well!

Phenomenal location, but would not stay again.

It was a nice place overall. Location was phenomenal. However, I wish I had read the reviews more closely. I would have stayed elsewhere. There is no AC and has not been for years. When I selected this specific VRBO, there were several others available even in the same complex. We chose this one because proximity to pool and the extra things including the bikes (which were not included in the end) and snorkel gear. It was just too hot in the condo. Instead of them being excited and thankful for a great trip, the entire trip was overshadowed by the discomfort whenever we were in the condo. There were fans and this helped some. But the logic of the tradewinds breaks down pretty fast. We weren’t going to sleep with the door open in the master bedroom to enable that pass-through breeze. We did leave the windows open, but that was a double-edged sword. The blinds are prohibited from being down and closed if the window is open which means the two neighbor condos look in just 10-15’ away and see us. The light was never blocked out in exchange for some breeze. Any noise was coming in from activity by the pool, maintenance, and traffic. Any intimacy is either done with windows open and privacy diminished or an even hotter room. Sleep was disturbed as the sun came up and activity picked up. Use of the kitchen created more heat deterring us from wanting to use the kitchen. For the price, I would have much rather booked somewhere else with AC. There’s no intention of getting AC fixed.

Deceptive listing

We have been returning to this condo development just about every year since 2008. Prior to staying here and after several stays in un-air conditioned places, we were delighted to find a development where the units were built with central air. You can't always depend on tradewinds to keep cool. When searching for a unit in this development to rent this year, we didn't even think to look to see that a/c was listed as an amenity. This unit has none. Fortunately the temperatures were pleasant and the tradewinds sufficient during our stay to be fairly comfortable. If air conditioning is a requirement, this is not the place to stay. Bikes are listed as amenities, but they are locked up and only for the owners. The two lanai are very narrow (maybe 4ft wide, wide enough for one small chair) and have a louvered railing maybe 3.5 ft tall restricting any view beyond the railing. The only time we sat outside was at the pool. The kitchen is well stocked with table and drink ware, utensils and cookware. Everything you'll need can be found at the nearby grocery and shopping center. On the positive side, when one of the smoke detectors started chirping, the property manager sent someone over quickly to remove it. I guess they intend to put it back up after we left, because no one ever returned with a working smoke detector. This is not the floorplan if you're traveling with small children since the main bedroom is upstairs and the other sleeping spaces are down. It was fine for us since...

Clean and comfortable and a little suburban

This is a very comfortable condo/complex. The neighborhood is a little generic but the condo is a 25 minute walk to the stores in Princeville Center and right across from the pool. The bikes pictured in the garage are not available for use and you'll need to buy your own toilet paper, paper towel and detergent as there is really only enough for about 4 days.
