This condo is breath-taking! From the gorgeous interior to the stunning view from the balcony, you can’t stay in a better place on Kauai! The Hanalei Bay resort is a gorgeous setting and the condo itself was perfect and had everything we needed. They even provided beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and a tiny cooler to use. The kitchen was just the right size for our the go time in Hawaii. The bed was luxurious and comfortable, and we enjoyed be having breakfast on the lanai looking over Bali Hai.

Overall we love Hanalei Bay Resort, and the ocean views from the large balcony were amazing. Unfortunately, the listing and photos depict this unit as being much larger than it really is. The unit is more like a studio apartment with the bed and couch taking up most of the livable space. My wife and I had very little room to put our luggage and other belongings. The appliances and furniture could use an update, the shower door leaks water all over the bathroom floor, there are so many rules with this particular unit that it doesn’t really feel like a vacation. We spent so much time cleaning and following rules that we felt like we were walking on eggshells instead of enjoying our Anniversary! Also, the owners want their guests to purchase travel insurance during their stay and we were reminded to purchase this several times! We’ve stayed at this resort four times now and no other owners have requested travel insurance. Lastly, the owners said to reach out with any issues and we did with an urgent request, but they failed to respond until the next day and it was too late at that point. Ultimately, we did get the issue fixed, but we had to do it ourselves. With that said, it is conveniently located near the pool and parking lot and check-in and check-out were easy.

The location was better than advertised, and so were the views from the lanai! The pictures are great, and yet they still don’t do it justice. The bed was comfortable, the linens and towels were clean, and everything worked well. Milo and Theresa were wonderful hosts, easy to contact, and just kind people. The pool and hot tub of The Hanalei Bay Resort are second to none. We hope to be back!

What a beautiful property! We loved our stay at Hanalei Bay Resort and will definitely be coming back. The communication with the host was excellence and the unit had all the accommodations that we needed. The only downside is the parking at HBR can be very difficult in the evenings, but it is manageable. I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a relaxing place to call home while exploring the north coast.

Amazing view of Hanalei Bay from balcony. The unit was nicely furnished, and the bed was comfortable. Appliances - coffee machine, microwave, etc - worked well. Easy parking, smooth check in/out process. We loved our stay and would definitely do it agan.

A little peice of Heaven

I have stayed at this resort before and was super impressed with the pool, restaurant and location however this unit blew me away. It has an awesome view, full kitchen and high ceilings. The bathroom was spacious. We had coffee on the balcony enjoying the view of mountains and the pool area. Bigger than their typical units. Felt like a house. Beautiful canopy king sized bed and good air-conditioning. Milo communicated proactively with lists of anything you need to know. Super sweet and professional. I will be back for sure. What a wonderful anniversary trip! Highly recommend. Thank you Milo!

Princeville gem for two!

Excellent Property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hanalei Beach Resort. Our unit was perfectly located with easy access to all the resort amenities. The view was spectacular! An amazing stay!!

We stayed for 2 days in december of 2024. Everything went well. Owners were prompt in communication and helpful. Check-in & check-out were smooth, apartment was clean and well equiped with useful amenities as well as kitchen utencils. Location and view of the apartment was amazing. Birthday/Retirement Celebration

HBR was super relaxing, the studio was clean and fully equipped for our stay. The property has incredibly amazing views of the mountains, ocean and pool area. The property is lovely with beautiful sunrise/sunsets, not overcrowded or too loud. I would recommend the property for singles and couples for a great get a way! Thanks Milo & Theresa😊

Wonderful

This was my first trip to Hawaii and my husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The view from our unit was spectacular. We woke up every morning to looking at the mountains and the bay. The room was just as listed and had everything we needed. The resort itself was perfect. The pool is very nice, The restaurants were very good. And the beach is wonderful. I would highly recommend the unit and would stay there again.

Great views at great resort

We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary here. We have been to the resort before and appreciated being able to stay in this rental unit with a small kitchen and beach chairs, coolers, etc. provided. The views are incredible, and the on site pool and short walk to the beach are wonderful. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing large studio with remarkable view

The studio is quite large with vaulted ceilings, has nice furniture, a fully functional kitchen and full-size fridge. The ability to do laundry was a big plus. The balcony and view were unmatched. It is an amazing place. We will definitely be back.

The best view on the resort!

Milo and Theresa were lovely and responsive hosts. My husband and I had such a wonderful time here and the photos really don’t do this place justice. The condo feels so spacious with the tall ceiling, the warm lighting makes it very cozy, but you can brighten it up more if you want to, we barely heard any noise from neighbors, and we slept so soundly. The view was surreal: you can see a bunch of waterfalls in the mountains, especially after a heavy rain. You can also see more of Hanalei Bay than is pictured! The beach was fantastic and never very crowded, and the pool and hot tub were a lot of fun. We loved the food, live music, view, and atmosphere at Happy Talk Lounge, and the staff overall was super friendly. If you don’t want to wake up with the birds/you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend you bring some ear plugs! We will definitely be back!
