We loved our stay there! The only thing that we should have done is report water leaking on the garage floor when we got there. It was so rainy we just thought the rain had found a way into the garage. Everything was perfect - it was spacious, beautiful and the kitchen had everything needed to make and serve food. We loved the artwork in the house and the purple bedroom as well as the orange sofas. This is a wonderful place to stay and we will recommend it to friends looking for a great place on the north shore.

Great place for a family to stay

House was very well stocked, from beach supplies to kitchen pans and utensils. Location was convenient to Princeville amenities and resorts. Price was a bit high with a high cleaning fee and VRBO fee. Only negatives were spotty WiFi (the house has 3 separate networks) and none of them reached into bedrooms well. And toilets would often run continuously or leaked a bit. They definitely need a little maintenance. Otherwise the place was awesome

We love the Princeville area. Orchid Hale is a huge house, well designed, with an amazing yard. Walking distance to pool, golf, tennis. So many great beaches nearby. Most require a short hike but you are rewarded at the end. Secret beach is amazing. Perfect for a family of 6-8, or 9 if you have 3 small ones. My wife and I stayed in the master upstairs, so much room and privacy. Our kids and grandkids stayed in the two bedrooms downstairs and the oldest slept on a roll away in the office. There is also a pull out in the downstairs FR. They were a little crowded but didn’t complain. Huge kitchen and great room upstairs. Air conditioning was essential and worked well. I would stay here again.

An amazing elegant fully stocked home.

This home is close enough to walk to Queens bath, Hideaway beach and the country club. Plenty of room and lots of games to play. Foodland is a short drive away and has everything you need for your stay. My only suggestion would be to maybe add a ping pong table in the garage for the rainy days.

Better than advertised?

My extended family (5 adults including all age rages plus 1 four-year old) rented Orchid Hale for a week. We were a little nervous going into it, convinced that there was going to be a mismatch of some kind between our expectations and reality, but if anything, the listing and photos *undersold* the property's charm and utility, especially at this pricing. For one thing, it's a big house. Perfect for a multi-generational family trip. The folks who get the master suite are golden. The folks in the two smaller downstairs bedrooms will be fine, though nothing to get excited about. But the rest of the house is perfect for sharing: big open spaces, a good kitchen for cooking and eating together as a family. The outside was great too: the garden is interesting and exotic, there's a good patch of grass for badminton/croquet/etc., and there's a nice big grill too. The shared community pool was adequate. It's a good size, but likely needs work if they're being honest about it (multiple tripping hazards, broken gaskets, loose railings) though nothing that kept us away from it. Plus we essentially had it to ourselves. The tennis court was super nice, having been recently refurnished. They have rackets and some (admittedly old) balls in the house you can use. All in all, I fully recommend and would go back!

Spacious, beautiful home and grounds

Wow! As a celebration for my oldest son’s college graduation and a belated celebration for my youngest son’s high school graduation, we spent a week in Kauai! We stayed at Orchid Hale and the place impressed us all, there was definitely the WOW factor when we arrived! The house was spacious and nicely decorated and the gardens and grounds were so tropical and beautiful. The house had everything we needed and more. We had a fantastic week on the beautiful island of Kauai and staying at Orchid Hale added so much to the vacation! We all would highly recommend this house. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Amazing house.

This house is amazing! It is spacious and has all the amenities we could hope for on our trip. We loved the large gourmet kitchen that was really well equipped and organized and enjoyed the views of the beautiful garden during our meals. The kids had so much fun in the outdoor space playing - there was even a croquet game! We also enjoyed playing tennis and using the pool steps away from the house in the morning or afternoon. The location was very convenient to all the areas we wanted to visit in Princeville / Hanalei. Perfect for morning walks either down to the beach near or up to the local town center / park. The beaches, such as Anini and Tunnels, or local restaurants were a short car ride away. We could not be happier with our stay and would recommend this property to anyone. It is definitely on our return list in our future.

Amazing

Our family has used VRBO many times, and this is definitely the best appointed home we have ever stayed in. The mountain views are beautiful and the home is peaceful and serene. We frequented local farmers markets and the kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed for beautiful Hawaiian meals. There were lots of nice touches from both homeowner and property management company.

Beautiful home

We just got back from our vacation to Kauai. This home was everything we hoped it would be. We probably would have tried to stay even longer if it hadn’t already been rented.... Plenty of room for 2 families, beautiful furnishings and comfortable beds. No need to bring that pillow from home 😊. Big back yard that the kids played whiffle ball in each night. AC worked fantastic which in the summer you definitely need as we had very little trade wins in the North Shore area while we were there. It is hot and humid and rains every day at some point in this region so yes you need AC. I would stay here as opposed to other areas of the island as it’s so lush and tropical.The property management company was so helpful with tips on places to go and how to access them in the North Shore area as well. The home is well stocked with extras such as beach chairs, coolers, family games, spices for cooking and every cooking gadget you could imagine needing. Everything was labeled making putting things back so much easier. We had gorgeous views of the mountains and walked to beaches like Hide Aways for snorkeling and Queens Bath for the experience of a lifetime.Each were only a half mile away and parking is minimal, making the ability to walk to each perfect! Thank you for sharing your home with us, it is beautiful.

Well-equipped beautiful home!

Our family had a great stay over Thanksgiving. The hosts have put a lot of thought into making the stay a great experience -- thorough labeling, a fantastically-stocked kitchen, and lawn games are just a few of the touches we appreciated. The garden is lovely and the kitchen happily accommodated many Thanksgiving chefs at once!

Gorgeous, gigantic, great!

We were so impressed with this beautifully appointed home--and it's really a home. Everything from a FULLY-equipped kitchen to sports equipment to a light-up makeup mirror in the master. Partial view of Bali Hai, huge back yard, and lovely landscaping. The two-car garage is even immaculate, which tells me the owners truly care about maintenance. All the appliances are top-of-the-line, fully functional and brand-new. We'll be back next year!
