"We had a nice stay at Black Bear Cabin. Short distance to tourist attractions. Hot tub was enjoyed and the beds were comfortable. Some things that might help improve the stay for others would be: dish towels for easier kitchen clean up, ability to plug in deck lighting, hooks or shelving in rooms for towels and clothes, end tables in the queen bed rooms, and fresh batteries for basement remote. The kitchen had all the tools we needed for cooking. Great place for meditating and quality time. "

"Wonderful!!! Super safe area, family friendly glamping and they have another unique cowboy cabin down the lane from the greenhouse. We plan to rent both units soon for a mini vacation! Met one of the very kind and informative hosts upon arrival, great communication and she addressed our needs as well as tips and tricks. Property was gorgeous and the greenhouse was adorable! Stocked with treats for our hikes around the area. Clean and cozy, they even had an umbrella in there for when it rains....

"Loved the spacious apartment style - easy to relax in one space while others slept in. Beds were comfy, temperature was perfect even during an Iowa heatwave. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. (coffee in the cupboard!) Off street parking was a really nice perk. We will definitely be back! Almost forgot! The Koreana Japanese restaurant downstairs - perfect for a late night snack! 😋 (Along with beers from Pulpit Rock & Topling)"

"The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!"

"Convenience was excellent. Hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. I know it's difficult with a shared kitchen area to keep things clean. But it was definitely not in the best condition. Since we did not require the use of the kitchen, it didn't really affect us. Some of the rooms did smell a little musty. Also, with an older historic, building I know this is a difficult task to keep things fresh. Enjoyed my stay overall."

"We love Decorah for a weekend getaway from the Twin Cities and the Bluffside Gardens was the PERFECT place to stay. It was right off the trout run trail so we could go biking right from our room without having to drive anywhere. Easy access to downtown and the room was very spacious and clean.
