Sweet Serenity

First time visiting; hopefully not the last. Loved everything about this property. We had to evacuate for 1 day in the middle of the trip bc of Idalia, but we were able to return promptly. I would definitely recommend this house and the property management company.

Location is great

From the moment of arrival, we walked in and the house smelled really bad. You get used to it while in there but every time you leave and come back it's there again and our suitcases smelled that way when we got back home. The house was not cleaned very well either. Also, the thermostat was set to go no lower than 72 degrees and that was a problem for us all. The lowest we could get them to turn it down to was 70. Other than that it was good.

Most amazing house we have ever rented for a couples vacation.

Beautiful home with so much privacy for each couple. Not your ordinary rental where you can hear each other talking in the next room. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Indian Pass as a couples vacation or family vacation.

Beach vacay with family

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach home. Perfect layout if combining families to have some privacy. Nice big and open layout. Beautiful decor and great seating for family dinners and hangouts. If you like a fan when you sleep you may want to pack a portable fan to run, but overall wonderful stay and great experience.

The perfect getaway!

This place is absolutely beautiful! Love the layout and the home has all the right amenities. The location listed as beachfront isn't stated enough, you open the front door and out in front of you is the beautiful ocean and beach. You can't get any closer to the beach and water than this home. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect home A+A+

Far from the madding crowd

If crowds and traffic are your thing then this is not the place for you. This beach-front house is good for a group of friends or extended family. Three separate sleeping areas offer privacy and the living area is large and comfortable. The community pool is a nice extra.

Beautiful and Relaxing

This is a lovely property and very well maintained. The beach is quiet with wildlife being protected. It is a short drive into town if you want restaurants and nightlife. The mgmt staff were terrific and responsive. Take note of the unusual layout though which would not be good if you have young children. It is fine for older teenagers though. The privacy issue with the windows in the bathrooms was the only concern. Otherwise, we highly recommend this home!

THE HULA MATULA!

Great place to stay. The beach is terrific. If you're looking for a quite location, this is your place. If you want to go out, there are many places in Port St. Joe and Apalachicola and it's a short drive away. We had several cook outs with fresh seafood purchased just down the road. Just absolutely terrific. There's was a free Dolphin show behind the house almost everyday. As for cons, there's only one, please trim the palm tree by the board walk leading to the beach, it's a bit in the way. Also buy or bring insect repellent, the mosquitos are thick!

Immaculate!

This was by far the cleanest VRBO that we have ever rented. The location is perfect for a laid back visit to the beach - right between Apalachicola and Port St. Joe, with just a few houses around you. The kitchen was wonderfully appointed with everything you need. We loved the layout of the separation of the bedrooms, it gave everyone some privacy while allowing everyone to be able to come together in the great room and around the dining table. The decks were perfect, and the beach was awesome. The only real complaint we had about the property is the Wifi, it was very spotty and sometimes just non-existent. Made doing some work from there difficult at times. You can indeed see into the master bathroom if the light is on, which is a little awkward if showering at night. But those are just minor issues, and I wouldn't hesitate to rent this place again. I only wish we had booked it for more than a week! We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic family vacation!

With the exception of the sudden development of Tropical Storm Nester that caused us to cut our trip short by a day this family vacation will be difficult to eclipse. The house is amazing (once you get used to the layout), and the convenience to the beach, and immaculate views make it difficult to beat. This was our first trip to Port St Joe-Indian Pass area, but will not be our last.

The location of this house to the beach is perfect! The beach feels like your own. There were only a few other people on the beach. If you are looking for a vacation focused on beach time, this is a great option. A couple times a day we watched dolphins. When we kayaked the dolphins would swim within yards of us, so cool and a highlight of our trip. The house is unlike any other we have seen, with a breezeway separating the main living space/master bed room from the other bedrooms and the media/bar area. As others have stated it worked well for our family with teenagers. I would not recommend this home for a family with younger children. The kitchen was equipped well, cookware, utensils, coffee makers, blender etc... The gas grill was great to have too. It was a short drive to Port St. Joe or Cape San Blas for restaurants/grocery/shops. We enjoyed all the restaurants we tried. The downside is this community was hit by Hurricane Michael in October 2018. The destruction is still very present. We saw no evidence in the house but the community pool was still closed due to the hurricane. The pool is only 3 houses away from the this house. Again, great location! This was a disappointment as we only rent places with a pool. We understand this was out of anyone’s control. With the outstanding access to the beach, we didn’t miss the pool as much as expected. Prior to going, I read comments about the windows in the shower areas. We did cover the window in the bathroom on the 1st level. We went outside at night to see if we could see someone in the shower area through the window. We could see in. Such a shame to cover it b/c the tile work on that window is great! The only other thing I’d mention is there is no tv in the main part of the house- kitchen & living area or in the 2 queen bedrooms. We did not miss a tv b/c of the view of the ocean. But worth mentioning b/c I had wondered prior to going. Both decks are spacious and added bonuses. Overall, this is an amazing house, great location and if we visit this area again we will definitely rent this house again. The local people were friendly and helpful. Our family will recommend this house/area to others.
