We are very popular due to our obvious city centre location and we also note in our FAQs on our website that noise is to be expected in this central spot. Live music is an integral part of Port Douglas’ ambience. We have put note in your profile if you stay again in the future, will avoid to put you in the room facing the Macrossan Street. Hi Alison we do grade our rooms from the budget "tropic" which you stayed in, to our renovated "club" to our "suites" next time may we suggest you book a club or suite if you prefer a renovated room. and you can request a room facing the watergarden, all rooms are very clean, welcoming and very large for the style!

Great that you enjoyed the location, we certainly are on the doorstep of Macrossan St. We would have loved to have heard what was going on with the Apartment whilst you were here so we could have made your stay more pleasant. We do also have more modern, recently renovated Club Apartments available should you want to return.
