We had a wonderful experience at the painted lady. The location was great for accessing Olympic National Park and Victoria BC. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub and views were spectacular. We would recommend the property for anyone interested in enjoying the Olympic peninsula.

Beautiful quaint house with amazing views. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Beds were super comfortable on cold nights. Kitchen well stocked and organized. Would def stay here again. 5 Stars!

We stayed here for a week for a work conference nearby. The house itself was lovely and cozy. We enjoyed the location, the neighborhood, the view and the hot tub. The host responded quickly. Check in was easy.Cons: terrible quality cookware, sheets and towels. Every pot and pan was teflon. The sheets were cheap polyester and sparked like fireworks with static electricity getting in and out of bed. Towels were cheap. The house had so much charm but it was clearly stocked with Amazon’s cheapest stuff. The check out process is pretty ridiculous, requiring guests to clean the whole house, which we did. We spent 3 hours as a group on our last morning fulfilling every item in the hosts list and now they are withholding our security deposit, saying it’s not clean enough. There’s no way that’s true. Charming house but overall not very hospitable, if you’re looking for a place to actually cook meals in the kitchen, not be stuck with maid duties on the last day, and risk not getting your deposit back.

What a GREAT place! Everything was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The views were amazing, instructions very clear, communication with the host fantastic, and the location was perfect. Port Angeles has lots to offer and everything we needed seemed to be no more than a 4-minute drive away. The outside space was amazing and the inside had every single thing we needed for cooking and laundry. Excellent place to stage a hiking trip into Olympic and the hot tub after a long day was clean, new, and worked flawlessly. I'm always grateful to hosts that really pay attention to detail, and this place is now at the top of my list. Thanks for making our stay great!

Very cute house, exactly as described

We had a great stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and beds were comfortable. Everything was labeled so it was easy to find what we needed. Good instructions for the various ways to heat the house too. The house and the way it is decorated have a lot of character. Great for our girls weekend.

Mindfulness couples retreat with day excursions.

Was the perfect retreat space to settle in and do some inner work and have plenty of romance. Day excursions into the park and to the spit were very easeful. With a great soak in the hot-tub to round out each day.

More than expected

You know how you go somewhere expecting a place to be as good as what you see in the brochure. Well this home was better. Clean and they checked off every box of everything you need. Nightlights to guide you at night, kleenex, enough toilet paper and paper towels for the week. A welcome basket and toiletries. Extremely soft sheets, binoculars, telescope to view the beautiful scenery, even had visiting family of deer. Coffee grinder, electric griddle, and much more. Small but extremely appreciated handle to hold onto before entering the hot tub. Johanna we were blessed beyond words. Lovely views of the ocean and relaxing

Our family enjoyed the hot tub and watching the ocean from the deck. Everything in the house was well labeled which made preparing food very easy. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. We enjoyed playing the Pac Man console and doing the puzzle that was available. We also loved the deer and fawns that visited the yard in the morning.

Excellent Stay!

Perfect place to stay with our adult children. Beds were very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything that you might need other than the usual things you bring yourself. Better stocked with things like sugar, umbrellas and nice toiletries than any other place we've stayed. The location of things was nicely labelled. We liked the self check in and the yummy goodies waiting for us as well.

Amazing Stay at the Painted Lady

This was one the best rentals we have stayed in. You can tell the owners take pride in their home. The house was very clean, well stocked and well organized. The views of Victoria and Hurricane Ridge from the deck were amazing. The hot tub was very clean, we enjoyed relaxing after long days of hiking. We had visits from a mama deer and her little fawn just about every day! You could walk to restaurants and a small grocery/convenience store. Port Angeles is a great little town!

What a wonderful place to come "home" to!

This home was amazing. So incredibly clean, well stocked, plenty of space and everything is labeled or has directions. It made staying here such a breeze! The outdoor space is incredible. We actually got rained out on one of our days exploring Olympic National Park. And we weren't even sad about it! We had a very early dinner at the warf in Port Angeles and then headed to the rental to spend the evening enjoying the back patio and hot tub (and all the gorgeous landscaping). The back patio was covered so the rain made no difference at all - even made it kinda cool to be outside in a down pour and not even be affected. We were even visited by a deer and her fawn. Rental was close to a great grocery store, wonderful restaurants and the Hurricane Ridge portion of the park. We also didn't feel like the Lake Cresent/Sol Duc area was that far either. It made a great home base for us during our ONP explorations. We stayed at 6 different places during this 2+ week vacation exploring the state of Washington and this was our favorite rental!

Perfect Painting

The Painted Lady welcomed my family like her own. This. Property. Is. Perfect. I knew this place would be special from the welcome message from the owner that included a detailed description and illustration re: entrance and parking. From our first step we felt at home in this cozy but spacious Victorian. The owners have obviously prided themselves in providing a 5 star property. Thankfully we took a quick inventory before a grocery run realizing this home had it all and more in stock. If this property is available stop and book it now. And don't forget to tidepool at Salt Creek!

Immaculate home in Port Angeles.

The house is exceptionally well cared for and had every amenity you can ask for. They have really thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. They leave detailed instructions, detailed area information and everything is labeled. The hot tub was awesome and a wonderful way to end the day after hikes and whale watching! The rooftop deck was a great place to look at the water and mountains. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great home base for visiting ONP

The house had everything we need for a family trip to Olympic National Park. We saw Salmon Cascades, Sol Duc Falls, Marymere Falls, the Devil's Punchbowl, and Madison Falls. We also visited Dungeness Spit in Squim, Glass Beach in Port Townsend. The toiletries and gift basket were much appreciated.

Perfect for a family getaway!

This home had everything that anyone would need for a home away from home. Waking up to the sunrise and our evenings with the sunsets!! So much to see and do in the area. The weather was perfect for hiking the trails in Olympic. It was great to have a hot tub to come back to soak in after hiking. Thank you for making this a great getaway for our family! Excellent Property

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Cleanliness was top notch, beds were comfortable, and so many other lovely touches that allowed our family to sit back and relax! We really enjoyed the outside area with hot tub and fire pit. Neighborhood was very quiet and safe. We look forward to a return stay in the future!
