"We had a brief and wonderful stay at the tiny house. Adam is a responsive host at a fantastic location. This tidy, tiny, house had all our family of four needed to end our visit back on the big island. The location felt remote and yet minutes to Hilo’s historic district as well as quick access to the nearby surf break. Gas range and outdoor fireplace under the covered porch made for lovely home cooked and memorable meals. Overall, a gem! "

"A great deal and situated on Alicia drive south of the Kailua-Kona nightlife district. The place was clean and comfortable and very attractively priced. Definitely the Hawaiian Hale experience! The landlord was very nice and obviously invested in our having a pleasant stay. To access the unit younger to climb a stairwell - don't rent this unit if you are unable to handle stairwells or have small (mobile not babies!) children. Perfect for a couple! "The grounds and the view are great, the cabin has been partially restored. It was a very rustic kitchen set-up, but we made it work. Only real problem were ants. They could find a single grain of sugar anywhere.We named the rooster that hangs around there Hei-Hei. We also had the gecko brothers who kept sneaking into kitchen.The pond has toads in it and they sing at night, counted 6 one night. "This place is very rural. Katherine is a very nice host.The unit itself is about 10 ft by 20ft. The inside table for dining is in the photo with a glass top. There are two stools, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and a Queen-sized bed on a platform. The mattress was very comfortable. It might be a bit challenging for older guests to get on the bed. "The cabin was wonderful and cozy! It was very private and feel like you have the island to yourself. It was close to Volcano national National park which is something we were looking for when finding a place to stay. The host was so kind and communicative."
