"We have stayed lots of places in midcoast Maine and this was our favorite! It is such a peaceful part of the lake - the stars at night were unbelievable, as was the chorus of loons! We really loving taking the kayaks out. The house is super cute and with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture, and some amenities you don't always find in similar places - we particularly appreciated the well water and washer dryer! "As advertised, except for the "walking distance to downtown." It's over a mile, no sidewalks, very hilly bendy road, difficult for cars and the plethora of work trucks to see you. We had some elderly folks planning to stroll into town, but that was a hard no. Maybe ok if you're young and active, but certainly don't plan on safely walking home at night. Otherwise, a pleasant old place. "

"We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy lakefront home. It was the perfect size for just the two of us—small, but comfortable and just what we needed. Everything was very clean and well-kept, and the owner was excellent with communication, making everything simple and stress-free. Our favorite part was spending time on the deck looking right out over the lake, enjoying the peaceful views and watching the three loons that hung around nearby. Such a special and relaxing spot."

"Check in was easy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked down to a lobster pot to our delight.The setting is beautiful and we very much enjoyed the two level deck. "A wonderful property. Not huge but a great size for 2 people! The view was terrific (saw seals we believe just beyond the sandbar at almost every tide opportunity in addition to the birds at the shore - the woodchuck and the squirrel at times in the backyard). Amenities were great - appliances, furnishing, wireless & TV. The hosts were wonderful, great communication and some hints on local options. Would wholeheartedly recommend this property."
