Amazing stay! We were a group of 20. We had a wonderful time! The kids loved the bicycles and the pool! The beds were comfortable. The daily maid service was great! Mauricio and Edson were easy to work with! Thank you so much!

Beautiful Villa

We loved our stay at Villa Mariposa. Communication was excellent with property managers. Mauricio was helpful in all questions we had and made recommendations we enjoyed. We all loved the pool and hot tub. Kitchen was well supplied with the things we needed. The maid service was so nice also, they did a great job. Thank you for a great relaxing vacation week!

Villa Mariposa Holiday

Our stay at the Villa Mariposa was lovely. We debated staying at a resort versus a house and the house allowed for us to spend more time together as a family. One or our favorite nights was when we had a chef cook us an authentic Mexican meal. We'll be talking about that experience for some time to come. Mauricio set this up for us. Mauricio was our concierge and was quick to answer any questions we had. He was there to greet us at the start of our stay and checked in daily to make sure we had what we needed. Daily housekeeping was a nice addition to the stay. We've never had that at previous stays. The community is quiet and safe. To get access to the beach, we rode the bikes that are included in the rental. It was about a 5 minute ride. The beach was not crowded and the water was crystal blue. We didn't rent a car and the taxi service worked out well. We had a direct line to Rudy who took care of our needs to get around.I recommend branching out and trying some of the excursions. We also got access to tennis and golf through Mauricio. As for the house, the beds were great. There was a bathroom attached to all of the bedrooms expect one. The bedrooms were spacious and spread out around the house so you still had some privacy. We hung out in the backyard most of the time we were at the house. Good showers, kitchen was stocked, hot tub was hot! Someone came daily to clean the pool. Overall, this was a lovely stay with a great staff to take care of your needs.

Fantastic Villa for a Family Vacation

Villa Mariposa was a great place for our family wedding and vacation. The location was perfect, Playacar is a nice, safe gated community with lots of amenities like restaurants, little stores and easy beach access to make it very suitable even if you do not have a car. Playa del Carmen is just a short walk away, so you have easy access to Playa del Carmen and 5th Ave.. The pictures depict the villa accurately, and we had lots of indoor and outdoor space. It was easy to relax and enjoy the pool and hottub. The rooms are spacious and offered plenty of room for our group of 8. Everybody even had their own bathroom. Mauricio, our concierge was very helpful, and always available and willing to answer questions and help us with our plans, incl. taxis, restaurants, tours, and golfing. The maids that came every day, were great and kept the place immaculate. Villa Mariposa is a great place to stay when you are visiting the Mayan Riviera.

I booked this property on VRBO for me and 9 friends and it was FANTASTIC. 10/10 would recommend. Home/property: the house was huge and a great place to host 10 friends. We spent a great deal of the time in the pool which helped with a hot summer day. The a/c in the house was quite strong and kept all the rooms cool. The roof was a great place to eat dinner. The kitchen and living room were both large and accommodated all of us. There was a projector to watch sports and movies — easy to use. Having a washer/drier in the home made it easy to wash clothes daily after workouts or going out. Size of the home: as listed. 6 bedrooms. All 10 of us had our own bed. Cleanliness: very clean and great daily service to keep all rooms/bathrooms and outdoor area pristine. Amenities: we hired the chef service for 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners and all 10 of us agree it was well worth the cost. Each meal was better than the one before and perhaps some of the best Mexican food any of us have ever had. The convenience of eating at home is also a great benefit. They do all the food shopping, cooking and cleaning. Transport/getting around: the property has a private shuttle service for hire and they are very prompt and punctual. We used them for several excursions and trips to the main town areas. Safety: very safe and secure. Gated community with 24/7 security. Concierge: Mauricio was very communicative and responsive. Great person.

Epic Stay

Villa Mariposa is a perfect home to host your next event in Playa del Carmen. The home is spacious and had plenty of space to host our 13 person group. The amenities were as described and Mauricio was an excellent host, coordinating dinners, chef service, groceries, shuttles and more. The area was very nice and we were able to walk and bike around playacar neighborhood easily. Highly recommended.

Great spot for a group

Clean and plenty of room if its not too hot outside. The pool gets a lot of shade so that is great if you worry about sunburns. The furniture was as described and the cleaning service is great for a big group. Walmart delivers groceries same or next day which was very convenient and rappi (🇲🇽 doordash) was very fast to find the house. You have to pretty much cab or walk 30+ min to get to 5th. There is a little market and oxxo close walking distance for the necessities. I highly suggest taking the bikes if going exploring in playacar. Also you can do a daypass at one of the resorts in playacar if you want to relax on the beach with umbrella drinks. Overall great house for 10 ppl! Thanks for having us 😉

Family vacation

Our group of 11 adults and 9 children stayed at the house Dec 4-9 2022. I want to start by saying the communication between the owner, Edison and Mauricio was top notch. Very quick responses every time I messaged any of them. The house is beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures. Our family especially enjoyed the pool, and hot tub, and patio, I saw other reviews about bugs but we had no problem at all. Not sure if the time of year plays a part in this or not. With 19 people and 6 bedrooms we had to get a little creative, they had some air mattresses for us, but the next day we found some of the kids on the floor. I let Mauricio know and he went and bought brand new ones that day! With so many kids in our group we decided it was best to cook most of our own meals, there is a Sam’s club about 5 minutes away, they have pretty much everything you would expect to see at a Sam’s in the US. Including Meat, fresh fruits and veggies, milk, eggs, bread, alcohol and beer. Bottled water is provided by the house, but a few things not included are laundry detergent and dish detergent they did leave us a few complimentary pods for the washing machine which was very nice, if you plan on doing much laundry make sure to add those to your list. Our group set off to the beach one day, but we got a little lost, the pins Mauricio sent did not have guards at them so we were confused and it ended up taking us about an hour to get there, he messaged us the next day and asked if we found the beach alright, we said we had some difficulties, he came to the house and took a couple of the guys in our group right to the correct location. It was still quite a walk considering the age range of our group, so the next time we got a taxi, which was about $8 one way. For one vehicle our groups needed three to get everyone there. We felt very safe everywhere we walked. The weather was amazing, and we enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay!

This house was great for what we were looking for. A short 5 minute cab to all the shopping in Playa! Our concierge catered to our every need and then some, the maids were fantastic, and the chef- just me…. HIRE HIM! 10/10

Awesome Time!

Jasmin, Edson and Mauricio provided us with excellent and prompt responses on all of our pre-trip inquiries. The villa was beautiful upon our arrival for my bachelor trip, and we had an incredible time during our stay there. The cleaning services were extremely helpful and high-quality during our visit as well. I highly recommend this property for anyone's Playa vacation in terms of its location, the villa's ability to host large groups, and the lovely people in charge!

Great house and staff, beach slightly off

The property was amazing and looked just like the photos! The rooms were clean and spacious, the pool and hot tub were great and had great spaces to hang out. The staff was amazing - concierge, housekeeping and private chef (HIGHLY RECOMMEND)! The beach was about a 10 min bike ride, so it was a lot further than we were expecting and the beaches that we were directed to by the concierge did NOT look like the photos - they were really small with no umbrellas or chairs and a lot of seaweed. The backyard also had a lot of bugs - ants and mosquitos, so we were quite bitten up just hanging outside.

Amazing and safe place!

I can’t recommend this place enough!! The concierge was so responsible, the maid service every day was great, and the chef service was wonderful. Great location - walking distance to downtown playa shopping or a short taxi ride away. I highly recommend for your next group or family trip!

Love this property!

We stayed here for my bachelorette trip and we loved it!! Such a great location and the owner was so responsive any time we needed a taxi or had a question. There was 12 of us and we had plenty of room! Highly recommend this place

Awesome experience

We stayed here with 15 girls for a bachelorette party and it was an amazing experience. Before the trip started, we had Edson helping us plan our stay by booking our transportation, catamaran trip, and private chef. He was so helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. Once we got on site, Mauricio was there to help us with whatever we needed and it made it such a personalized experience. Having the housekeeper come everyday was a great touch. We all felt very safe in the house and exploring the neighborhood. The bikes in the house are a great amenity, we had fun riding them around the community and only a 10 minute ride to the public beach. I highly recommend booking a catamaran trip, it was a highlight of the weekend. The private chef was also great to have and the food was incredible. The house is well stocked with plenty of dishes, cooking equipment, towels, and purified water for the whole stay. Highly recommend for a big group!

Bachelorette party

The house is gorgeous and pictures are accurate. We had plenty of room for our group and it’s a perfect place for a bachelorette party. We could walk/ride bikes to get groceries and taxis in to the main part of town were 5-10 mins and $10. Mauricio the concierge was very friendly and helpful as was the cleaning staff. A few things - we had a chef for breakfast planned and they didn’t show up, claimed they thought it was for lunch but the communication very clearly said breakfast. The chef came for dinner and was great but didn’t follow our very clear menu request. The chefs and other staff were in the house while we were out (for some reason they came hours before dinner) and that night 4 girls were missing a total of almost $1000 in cash and a visa gift card. The owner reviewed the cameras and “found nothing concerning.” The cameras were outside so of course that was the response. Overall the house and location were great. Just lock up all of your cash in the safe in the master bedroom. The other thing is that this trip was during the height of Omicron so a few people couldn’t go. The owner (against Vrbo strong request for owners) would not give us any money back or let us reschedule. To avoid losing thousands of dollars we went anyway with a smaller group who felt comfortable because we all contracted Covid right before the trip and felt comfortable. Would recommend the house for a trip with friends but be prepared for some miscommunication or difficulty with the mostly lovely staff.

Great stay at Villa Mariposa

I stayed here with 13 other people for my bachelorette party and couldn't recommend it enough. Sol was incredible during the planning process ( he helped us plan SEVERAL activities, drivers, etc) and Mauricio was so helpful and friendly and responsive once we got there. We also loved the woman who came every day to clean - she was so nice and made us quesadillas! Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing location and beautiful!

The house was gorgeous! Great location! The house had everything you might need for a big group! Sol and Mauricio were very attentive and helpful! The house did take a couple of hours to cool so I would definitely ask that the air conditioning be turned on before arrival but once they were turned on, the house remained cold for the stay which was great! I will say some of the sheets had a strong Chlorine smell, not sure if it was just the water. Also one of the master room’s shower didn’t drain and ended up leaking into the room, we quickly let Mauricio/sol know and someone was sent to check on the drain and by that time we had already used towels to clean up the water so they didn’t see how much leakage there actually was. Overall, it was an amazing house and stay. Like I said, Sol/Mauricio were very attentive and the house is gorgeous. Everything was a short ride away! And we felt very safe in the location.

Celebration of our 30th birthday at this amazing house

We had such an amazing time celebrating me and my friends birthday at this home. The house is nice and big so finding area to relax at is easy to do. The pool and hot tub have a beautiful tile look and the hammocks hang right over the pool. Such a nice outdoor area. Mauricio was prompt and always willing to help us out. Also the maid took great care of the house.

In a word, PARADISE!

Where do I begin? The pictures do not do this villa justice. It’s even more beautiful in person. I could write so many pages on how amazing this rental was so I’ll try to keep it as short as I possibly. The Villa Mariposa is spotless and beautiful! The staff were friendly, sweet and attentive. From the beginning of our booking the Concierge Team was so helpful and meticulous in making sure that we had all the information that we needed prior to arrival, details about the villa, culture, excursions, restaurants and adventure parks. I can’t say enough about how wonderful everything was during our stay. This home is such a unique experience. It is beautifully updated and has so many modern details. Loved all the high end touches. We felt like Queens and Kings. The ambience of the home is what we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed ourselves and made lifetime memories. The private chef were absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend having them cook some of your meals. Everything about this home is amazing - the location is in a safe neighborhood and the pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, are incredible. The beaches and 5th Avenue with the countless shops, restaurants and bars are within walking distance. In all of my travels, never have I stayed in such a vacation property that was SUPER MAXED with amenities!. This VRBO was not just incredible, it was absolutely breathtaking! We will definitely book again soon! You will never be disappointed booking this Villa

We loved the property, however there are a few things we wish would have been better/easier. For one, I wish we would have had extra blankets, because our comforters where stained and dingy. Second of all, an information book with restaurants and the address the taxi services use ( Xaman Ha BRB 20) would have saved us a lot of time and money. Thirdly, the beach was not as close as the description said, and we wish they would have told us when we booked that the beaches are nasty with seaweed during the months of June, July, August. However, the staff was extremely friendly, and our housekeeper was a sweetheart. If you are looking for a great place to spend a week, this villa is perfect. Our group split our days up between excursions and hanging around the complex. We felt safe inside the complex and we enjoyed the bicycles, that they provided. One thing if you are going to visit, I would highly suggest renting a scooter, we went on many adventures with ours and rode around the entire complex, which gave us more insight of what was offered inside.
