Decepcionante la atención gerencial.
La recepción no fue del todo amable. Se nos inundó tres dias la habitación y el hotel ni se inmutó para cambiarla en el momento que comenzó el problema. Una noche me caí por pisar agua a oscuras mientras me dirigía al baño. No prolongamos la estadía por la mala predisposición de la gerencia la cual en ningún momento nos atendió.

La habitación estaba excelente, nos dieron un upgrade a una habitacion ocean front. Las instalaciones son buenas, aunque es un Hotel pequeño cuenta con todos los servicios. Lo único que no me convencio fue la variedad de los alimentos. Creo que en este aspecto tienen un area de oportunidad para mejorar la experiencia en la estancia.

Esta ubicado en la mejor zona de playa, playacar, pero el hotel me da una sensación como asilo de ancianos, bueno para retirarse. La comida normal.

No vino el bellboy a llevar las maletas al cuarto, tardaron demasiado en atender en el bar y a la hora de la comida. Las habitaciones son buenas, y es ideal para personas mayores de 50 años. Jamás tuvieron piñas coladas, comentando en una hora traerían ingredientes para hacerlas. Nunca llegaron los ingredientes y me fui del hotel y jamás tuve una piña colada. Al hacer el check out... se quedaron con mi depósito. El Señor Arturo Durán fue el encargado de cerrar la cuenta (no faltó nada, no se debía nada) e hizo el check out de una forma en la que cuando llegué de vacaciones a mi casa me di cuenta que el señor antes mencionado me cargó el depósito a mi tarjeta. Estoy en proceso de reclamación espero que me puedan devolver el dinero que me cobraron de manera errónea.

Muy lindo hotel
Todo excelente, salvo que el hotel tiene habitaciones en el 3er piso y no cuenta con ascensores. La playa y calidad de los servicios es muy buena. El trato de Eugenia en recepción deja mucho que desear. Angel, la persona encargada de la recreación en el área de la pileta, excelente. Seguramente con una persona como él de encargado la experiencia de los huéspedes seria excelente.

Falta amabilidad en la recepción. Cuando llegamos se alargó el checkin por falta de confirmación entre holetel.com y el hotel. La chica de recepción no mostró habilidad ni amabilidad para resolver la situación. Se nos confirmó habitación con cama King y con vista al mar, sin embargo, nos dieron habitación con dos camas matrimoniales y vista al pasillo. Falta trabajar el tema de estrategia de servicio. No volvería al hotel ni lo recomendaría

The staff, especially the wait staff in dining room, Julissa, Genaro, Guillermo, Rigoberto, and Noe were professional and very friendly. Great service. Liked food in all inclusive due to quality and menu driven, not buffets(except breakfast, but did have cook to order items as well). Pool loungers were too low to ground, too close together, had to crawl in and out of them. Only had one bar (Pool ) and the liquers and mixers were the worst I have ever had. Only had one beer Dos XX Amber. Not my favorite Mexican beer.

Friendly staff, my king bed room was sufficient. Smelled old, couch had mold. Check in was fine, pool and jacuzzi is not heated. All inclusive saved lots of $, lunch menu really nice dinner not great. Only keg beer. The hotel layout of the pool and beach was nice, mostly timeshare folks older crowd. 10 minutes walk to 5th Ave for shopping and restaurants. Taxi only back to Airport $100! Or ADO bus.

abbiamo soggiornato 10 giorni in cui c'era poca gente quindi il personale ha lasciato molto a desiderare in merito alla pulizia della spiaggia, della piscina e dei ristoranti

great place, perfect beach, honest advertising
Was perfect for us - relatively small resort (only 60 suites), big wide beach, after we god a free upgrade - 1bdrm, 2bath, 2 balconies apartment, we loved it. First place was a standard room and it was really depressing. Staff is amazing, they take a really good care of the place, great Spa, everything is clean and convenient and clean. Internet is everywhere and working well. Very good food, but very limited choice - only one option for each meal. Only 5 types of wine are offered - 3 reds and 2 whites and they are cheap. Minuses: - we had an AI option, so probably they are trying to be frugal, but cocktails are terrible mostly (only 1 bartender makes a decent cocktails) - showers are terrible (we tried 3 of them). But I think it's easy to fix. We will definitely come back

Right on the beach - friendly staff
This is a small hotel - very cozy easy to navigate with a great location right on the beach. very friendly staff - the hotel is not new - but it is very well maintained/operated. Excellent value with pretty good food.

Super beach hotel for beach fans
Nice cozy hotel right on the beach for reasonable price,. Beach is nice and sandy, rooms has national Sharm, food is acceptable. The only reason to reduce rating - poor entertainment program and difficult to find.

About meals there are not many options at lunch or food after 10 pm. Excellent employees. The pool and the beach area very cozy, clean and comfortable. In case of emergency the hotel no have generator for the rooms.

The all inclusive experience is fair to poor. Dinner quality was mediocre at best and the staff was not very accommodating. We met family who stayed in another unit and the dining staff was resistant to moving two tables together, a fairly simple task. One restaurant and one outside grill. Staff kind of rude. Liquor at the bar on display was of a fine quality but liquor provided was in unmarked bottles pulled from under the bar. Maintenance issues from faulty circuits to power problems. Fridgerator took two days to suffiently cool down. Maintainece reported it was too full and needed fewer items in it. Breakfast is fine. Dinners were ok at best. Pasta night was terrible. Beach plagued with green sea grass that needed to be buried by an employee everyday. (Not the resorts fault). But other resorts had a tractor in site an racked their beach. Pull out couch mattress for the 5 guest was 1 inch thick and looked to be about 20 years old. Murphy bed was fine. This place needs a complete overhaul.

This place is NOT a resort. Absolutely horrible
This is not a resort. They staff was not helpful at all. During checkin they took our info and literally didn't give us any info. They have two bars the pool bar closed at 5 everyday therefore you had to go into the lobby to get anything after 5. You can not get a drink after 10:30 including water. The one restaurant has only 3 options everyday. Lunch is the same 6 items every single day. Worst place I have ever had the misfortune of staying. Also hit you with a beach access fee at checkout. Do not stay at this "resort"

This hotel has a great price, excellent food, a beautiful pool, and great facilities. The room was clean and spacious, well lighted. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. I would recommend this hotel for an affordable stay, not luxury but enjoyable.

Quiet Hotel, Beautiful Beach and Pool and Hot Tub!
Great hotel in a quiet and leafy part of town away from the madness, but close enough to walk and drive to the center of town where the action jus by the pier. It was a one night stay to relax and use the beach and pool. They gave me free drinks too! It was a fun location! Easy walk/drive to center of town where the pier and all the action is. Check in was a little slow because I made a late reservation. If you do this arrive early at this hotel!

Wonderful hotel on the beach
We arrived 30 minutes before check-in. We waited about 15 before they were able to accommodate us. We loved the room. It was a significant upgrade from the cabanas in the jungle we just left. One of the restaurants was under construction, so only the italian place was open. I would return for the view and the quality of the rooms, but I think I would go with the meal plan option as opposed to the all-inclusive. We travelled around Cancun, Ek Balam, and Playa Del Carmen, eating at places we probably shouldn't have. But my stomach was most upset over the dinner we had at the Italian restaurant. The breakfast buffet was great, and sadly we didn't get to try lunch. But we ate dinner the next night at a taco stand in downtown Playa and it was so much better than dinner at the hotel. Overall, only issues came with the restaurant. The hotel was wonderful in every other aspect. This is my first all-inclusive experience and as honeymooners, we were really excited. I would love to come back to this hotel in the future to spend more time on the beach.

The Fishermen we like very much and planning to come there back. But there was a great disappointment: Our flight was at 5 pm at Cancun. After arriving at 7 pm to Fishermens we were told that there is not room available. Even we get the confirmation for the reservation and I called 2 days before arriving and was found in their system. Now they said we are not in the system and Expedia did not provide them with our reservation, what was not true. We were transferred to Hacienda Tres Rios, where the beach was not acceptable at all, you cannot swim in the ocean because the see plants. Thanks to Jennifer, reception manager, we were transferred back on the 3d day of our 6 days vacations. So we lost 3 days of our vacation because the main goal of our going to Mexico was the ocean swimming.

Sunset Fisherman Hotel
Not only does a nice hotel with a great beach make a vacation excellent, but so does the staff. If I could take three of Sunset Fisherman's staff with me anywhere I traveled I would. Alex, Andy, and Angel were amazing staff members who went above and beyond to make our stay beyond enjoyable. They are great people person's who are knowledgable of not only the hotel but events activities, and surrounding areas and their activities. They were great at recommending travel and activities. We especially loved playing water volleyball with Alex and Angel. Andy make a special note and effort to call our room and ask how we were doing and if we needed any room service every night we were there.

J'ai reservé une chambre avec vue sur l'eau, SDB privée avec un bain à remous et une douche séparée. On nous a attribué une chambre, avec vue sur le parking, mal entretenue, douche simple avec eau chaude en fonction de l'heure, climatisation en panne, et le minibar avait disparu ! Quant au Wi-Fi de l'hôtel, il fonctionne en fonction des bugs du serveur... D'autres clients ont été envoyés à leur arrivée sans autre forme d'explication dans un "autre grand complexe". Ce qui aurait dû être le cas pour nous, mais le manager "ayant déjà envoyé trop de personnes, il n'y avait plus de place pour nous". Un jour nous avons même vu un couple débarquer dans notre chambre, la réception ayant oublié qu'on était encore là, et nous avons vu à d'autres reprises des personnes revenir à la réception en expliquant que la clé qui leur a été remise concernait une chambre déjà occupée !! Côté restauration le buffet est parfois ouvert, parfois non, selon une logique non définie. Idem pour les bars. Quant au restaurant, il faut penser à réserver, même quand le buffet est fermé sans raison... Bref, l'organisation est totalement à revoir, et si le personnel est agréable, le manager lui se fiche totalement de ses clients et de la conformité entre ce qui est réservé et ce qui est attribué.

Was over booked
We booked our trip through expedia and wanted to stay in town of Playa. When we got to the hotel we waited hours to be checked in only to find out that they were overbooked and we were sent to Tres Rios that is out of town. The whole reason we wanted to stay at Sunset Fishermen is the location and we were very disappointed that we were not able to spend our vacation that we planned in town.

L'hotel è bello a 20 min a piedi dalla 5a avenida ma appena arrivati volevano spostarci in un'altro perchè dicevano di aver fatto overbooking con la nostra suite, ma l'hotel si trovava in posizione sfavorevole e per raggiungere il centro bisognava spendere 300 pesos di taxi. Non abbiamo accettato però abbiamo dovuto convincere il personale con un'escamotage. Il resto è buono.

Nice smaller hotel with nicest beach
Nice hotel on quiet, residential street with friendly staff and great beach. My husband and I spent a week at Fisherman's in December. The beach is lovely, uncrowded and the sea is warm and calm. We usually only ate breakfast there, we don't eat meat and the menu was pretty limited for lunch and dinner. Not really a problem for us because we like to get out and explore. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to central zone. It's a pretty street with nice houses and even some ruins. During the day you see lizards and agouti, at night you can see bats, raccoons and if you're lucky, coatis. We had a car but we like to walk and we stayed out late most nights. There are also plenty of cabs in Playa if you need one.

Pleasant surprise
The staff was awesome! Reception could have been more helpful/happy to serve us, but the rest of the staff was wonderful. Location is ideal. Fab views. Loved being able to walk to Playa del Carmen in 29 minutes. Great beach.

Rapport qualité prix un peu cher.
L Hôtel est bien situé, la plage est très belle mais c est la course pour avoir des transats le matin. Le personnel est très agréable, la reception etait un peu perdu concernant notre arrivée mais au bout de 2 jours on a eu la bonne chambre et le all inclusif. Et aussi le wifi apres une bonne prise de tete. Je trouve que l hôtel est peu très trop cher rapport qualité prix. C est un bon 3 étoiles. J ai quand même passé un bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Un conseil Tulum est un très bon plan si vous voulez sortir de la frénésie de Playa del Carmen
