Overall wonderful condo

I stayed here with my two teenage daughters during our fall break. The location is perfect. The view is outstanding. The pools are wonderful. Can’t say enough great things about this condo. And it had daily maid service.

Comfortable and clean unit that met our needs. Close access to 5th Avenue and restaurants.

Kudos to Daniel for helping us book a driver. We stayed 2 weeks in the unit and enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the afternoons. Housekeeping was great.

Quiet spot in the heart of Playa!

The first thing I loved about this condo is the organization and professionalism of the staff! They are very friendly and the check in process was stress free! The condo is beautiful, clean and well appointed. We love having the cleaning service option and the amenities are more like what you’d expect at a hotel. I expected a lot of club noise but there wasn’t much. A few loud people leaving clubs on the weekend but nothing like I was expecting that close to 5th. No beach for the condo itself but we walked down to ASI at El Taj to sit on the beach and order drinks. Fun seeing the fishing boats come in with their haul! I highly recommend Magia beachside and will be back!

Clean and great location.

The condo was nice and clean. The pool was smaller than expected and needs updating but Location was perfect really close Fifth Avenue/beach.

Great condo

This property was great! It was clean and spacious. The pool area was very nice. It was great location for all of the restaurants and 5th Ave. We were able to walk to the grocery store which was about 10 minutes. It was pretty loud at night being so close to all the activities. Our kids slept right through it but did wake us up occasionally. This is a great place to be right in the action!

Great location, beautiful condo.

This condo is gorgeous and spacious. As 5 people we had plenty of space to spread out when needed. The front desk is very helpful and responsive to all inquiries in-person or via whatsapp. The owner was helpful and responsive with questions ahead of our stay. The pools are very nice, lots of shallow space, not heated (so a little chilly in the winter). As for the location, it is SO close to 5th Ave. So many restaurants & shopping. You will need to walk a couple of blocks either way to get to a beach where you can lay out on and swim. We loved the little french bakery & El Doctorcito right outside the building. The restaurant has music until 11pm some nights and since the bedrooms back right to it, it can be loud. Overall we really enjoyed the safety (24 hour security guard to the right when you walk in), location, front desk (especially Kevin), & more. You get 2 sets of towels for pool/beach. White are ONLY for the pool, the striped ones are for the beach or to take on excursion...but don't lose them.

6 Days Stay at Magia (Pros/Cons)

Pros - A welcome note and hostess gifts of wine and tequila greeted us at the condo. The pictures used to advertise this property are accurate. The kitchen is FULLY equipped and has everything that someone who enjoys cooking would need. There is a water dispenser, so you really don't need to buy bottled water. There is also daily housekeeping. You can opt to have housekeeping clean daily, change out your towels, or not clean at all. The beds are very comfortable. There is a large balcony with comfy seating off of the kitchen that overlooks the pool. There are actually two large living areas in the condo that you will notice as soon as you enter the condo. One area has a sectional with a television. The other living room area has two dark blue couches that sit opposite of each other. There is an apartment size washing machine and dryer. Beach towels and pool towels are provided. The unit has AC. It is close to 5th Avenue. Now for the cons. We were told in advance that we had to check-in at another location, but it was still inconvenient. When we arrived I was given the front desk's WhatsApp number so that I could communicate any needs or concerns that I had, but the front desk did not always answer when I called or text. We were given a bag of white towels/told to only use white towels at the pool. We were also given beach towels w/ brown stripes & told to use them at the beach. My adult son mistakenly took a brown stripe beach towel to the pool and was reprimanded by security, asked to leave, and return with a white towel. While I am on the issue of towels, we were a party of 5 and throughout our visit when towels were refreshed, housekeeping would only provide us with 4 sets of towels. For additional towels, we had to call the front desk that was located in another condo (Porto Playa). We NEVER visited the beach in Playa del Carmen, because of the seaweed. It stunk like crazy and the water was murky, not turquoise as I expected -not the owner's fault, but definitely VERY disappointing as it was our first visit to Mexico ever. As first time visitors, it would have been courteous to be informed that the beach would not be enjoyable. Informed by Lauren a couple days before our arrival. We chose Playa del Carmen for the beach, not the pool. Too much Noise from partygoers made it hard to sleep at night and workers working on another condo in the building awaken us in the morning. The elevator broke our last three days.

If you're looking for a place to stay during a visit Playa Del Carmen, look no further

I would like to start this off by thanking Laura, the condo owner, for opening up her incredible condo! The pictures are spot on. The condo, as well as the Magia property, are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Three of us stayed in the condo during a workcation over New Years. The internet was plenty fast to support all our our remote work (video calls and other typical work) as well as enjoy our personal devices. The condo is very spacious, from the nice sized bedrooms to the large living space. The patio is fantastic as there is an outdoor dining table, day bed, and seating area to enjoy the views of the pool area/ocean. The location couldn't be any more perfect. You are a 2-3 minute walk away from an abundance of shopping and restaurants. There is also a small mini-mart about 2 blocks away (4 min walk) where you can buy snacks and drinks. You can also venture down 5th ave for endless options of restaurants. The condo comes with a VIP card when you check in that gets you 10% off at the Indigo Beach Club, Plank Gourmet Grill & Patio Bar, and a couple of other nearby locations. The condo has a WhatsApp number you can reach out to 24/7 to help with any of your needs. For other questions, Laura was always quick to respond and always had an answer. We had an incredible experience and will be recommending this spot to any friends or family looking to visit Playa Del Carmen.

All good here

We did a girls trip here and it was great. Andreas checked us in and he was helpful the whole time. Condo was clean and quiet and had security. The only complaint that I would have is that we couldn’t talk on the balcony after 8pm and no one was around. We were not loud and didn’t have music on and were still asked by security to go inside 2 different nights. Overall, great experience. I would go back.

Beautiful Spacious Condo Near Everything

The condo was very large and well kept. It had everything you could want or need. It was just a block from 5th Ave and the beach. The grounds and pool were well kept too. We never had to get in a cab because it was close to shopping, restaurants, beach, etc. I only gave 3 stars for the category of "Communication with the Property Manager" because I don't know who that might have been. The only negative was that we were not made aware of checking in at a different hotel and we arrived at 7:00pm. The glass doors only open if you have a code. We did not have a code. Finally some people came out and we took advantage of the open doors and ran in and found a worker who told us we had to go across the street to the other hotel and check in. There was one other issue with the open air bar across the street. They have a live band that starts at 9:00pm and it gets pretty loud when you are trying to sleep. Other than that, we really enjoyed the stay at Magia Beach Condos.

Beautiful condo. Two spacious bedrooms (each with king beds) and bathrooms in a secured building right off the beach AND 5th avenue. Loved our stay in this beautifully decorated condo with a the large balcony and pool area. Front desk and all staff were GREAT too! You will not be disappointed and happy you picked this place!!

My return visit to Magia Playa Beach

This trip was my second stay at Magia in the last six months. I was so impressed with the accommodations of the unit on my last trip, we made it a "girls trip" this time. There were 5 women in our group and all were as amazed as I was with the property. The unit is extremely spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The view of the ocean takes your breath away ! The ability to walk to everything we wanted from groceries to fabulous restaurants makes this a destination I will return to and recommend to others. The staff at Magia and those involved in our reservation assured that our needs were met and certainly exceeded our expectations. I am already looking ahead to a return trip to this paradise!

Fantastic Time Once Again in Playa Del Carmen !!!!

This was my first time staying at Magia Playa Beach and I was not disappointed ! The condo is spacious (five adult women sharing), immaculate, view to die for of the Golf of Mexico and so close to everything. The pool area is large with comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas. Some of us like shade. Very attentive to detail. It seems like their was always someone trying to help make our stay more enjoyable. Just go out the front door and you are steps to the beach or to 5th Avenue for shopping. You can find everything from high end stores to traditional souvenirs made in Mexico The restaurant choices far exceeded my expectations. Couldn't have dined better ..from fresh fish to authentic Mexican dining to French cuisine and we finished our day at the corner gelato shop ! The owner was easy to work with and so helpful. We felt very well taken care of and would definitely recommend this place to friends and family! Looking forward to returning !!!!!!!

Magia, a piece of heaven!

Outstanding contemporary concept. Very spacious, wonderful location with a breathtaking view of the ocean from the balcony. Walking distance to anything you could want! All staff members involved during our stay were extremely attentive! The property is very well kept; loved the pools. 5 star Plank Restaurant less than a block away with outstanding meal choices and service! Can wait to return!
